Name – Gabriel Baal
Nickname - The Chimera, The Serpent, The Doctor
Former Nicknames - The Engine of Chaos, The Mechanism of Order, The Engine of Cruelty, The Seventh Circle
Height - 6'3"
Weight - 238lbs
Date of Birth - 6th June 1978
Hometown - London, England
Resides – New York, New York
Entrance Theme – Black Sky - WAR*HALL
Alignment - Heel
In Ring Attire – Black boots, black trunks with the Symbol of The Chimera on the front and Baal on the back. Knee pads and elbow pads are both black.
Out Of Ring - Generally suits of various colours – navy, black, grey, stone. Shirts and ties are often the same colour but different shades. Tie is not always included.
More recently, Gabriel has relaxed his suit rule. More willing to dress down, despite embracing his status as a Doctor once more - not, however, to treat patients... Legitimately, at least. However, when he isn't in the ring wrestling, he'll be there in his suit.
Entrance –
The lights in the arena go out as Black Sky by WAR*HALL hits over the speakers, as the beat drops around twenty five seconds in, a single spotlight drops on the ramp engulfing Gabriel Baal in light. His head is down, his fingers are pressed together. His ring attire is covered by a jacket, zipped up the front from the waist to the neck, but the jacket runs down to the ground at the back. He lifts his head as he begins to walk down the ramp. As he reaches the ring, he climbs the steps and waits, as the beat drops again, he extends his arms wide, and throws his head back casting off his hood and bringing the arena into light.
He steps through the ropes and walks to the centre of the ring, when the beat drops one last time, once more he extends his hands out to the side (if holding a championship, he's unzipped the jacket, and when he extends his arms, the jacket opens to reveal the title belt around his waist.)
Style – A former amateur wrestler, Baal’s skills lie in the technicalities of the sport. He is an accomplished striker, but prefers if he can to outwrestle his opponents. His intelligence is key – he knows the psychology of his opponents therefore knows what is most likely to make them sloppy. Whether it’s drawing on their anger, their arrogance, their insecurities – Baal is likely to focus his attack based on the personality of those he fights. He’s willing and able to take punishment in order to gain a longer term victory. He’s all about the long game.

The Dirty Deeds
Baal is well aware that there are some limitations to his skill set. As such, he's willing to circumnavigate the rules in an attempt to gain victories. There are number of things he is willing to do in order to gain victory with varying degrees of success and effectivness.
Eye-gouging and low blows etc.
Ease of use - 8 out of 10. The easiest of the dirty deeds to apply. Not difficult to gouge an eye with a referee not looking or to hit a low blow when the opponent is distracted.
Liklihood of success - 9 out of 10. Unlikely to be blocked or reversed. These moves a pretty much guarenteed.
Effectiveness - 3 out of 10. Whilst they are some of the classic moves, they're often used in desperation. Unlikely to end a match other than DQ.
The Shock Treatment (Use of a Taser)
Ease of use - 5 out of 10. Whilst the application of the Taser is easy enough in itself, both it's effects and the sound made when used can draw attention.
Liklihood of success - 7 out of 10. Whilst use of the Taser is easy enough, being able to use it without being spotted is hard enough without it being escapable.
Effectiveness - 7 out of 10. Although not enough to guarentee victory, especially against larger opponents, the shock treatment will allow quick follow ups that should tender success.
The Painful Injection (Injection of a one of various substances)
Ease of use - 2 out of 10. The dose has to be carefully calculated and it must be administered in a very specific way. Whilst tired, mid match is not time to be messing with injections. For this reason, it is rarely used in a match - mainly on special occasions.
Liklihood of success - 5 out of 10. Whilst the injection itself is easy enough, getting a syringe into a match is never easy. Plus trying to administer an injection behind the back of a referee is not easy.
Effectiveness - 10 out of 10. With the correct dose, the paralytic will render any man or woman unable to move in anway. This would leave them effectively unable to avoid defeat.
For added flair, he can use a cane to administer the injection.
Background
Born in London, England, Gabriel Baal was both intelligent and athletic. His sketchy past makes Baal’s history difficult to trace, but his path academically is much simpler to sketch. Straight A’s in college, leading to a Undergraduate Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctorates in both Psychology and Psychiatry from Harvard University. During College, he enrolled as part of the wrestling team – a pastime in which he excelled. Upon graduation, his choices were simple, Olympic Wrestling try-outs or Practicing Psychiatric medicine. Within five years, Baal was running a Mental institution, within ten he was the owner and CEO of Baal Health Resorts. The first of which, Angelfields, was one of the top retreats in the United States offering a range of services from Spa to Psychiatric Care. Having stumbled into the world of UGWC, Baal has found the characters an interesting case study – his love for wrestling having never gone away, Baal hired a personal wrestling coach and trained for almost a year. Now – still learning his craft – he comes to UGWC in an attempt to combine two of his strengths.
In 2016, Angelfields was burnt to the ground, occuring within the deaths of a number of high value patients. PPW Co-Founder Johnny Dinucci, Eden Morgan's former fiancé Hugh MacLellan and a third, unknown man going by the codename Patient Zero. The remaining Baal Health Resorts were liquidated shortly after given the deaths that occured at his properties. The Doctor was not held accountable for any of the deaths as the official ruling was that of a gas explosion.
The following six months saw success and failure for Baal as he won the Cross Hemisphere Championship for the second time from Lucy Wylde, in a Fatal Fourway match at Seven Deadly Sins, but lost it the following month to Zane Scott at the Massive Melee. On the same night, Baal won the opportunity to face the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlestock.
As fate would have it, the Champion at Wrestlestock was non-other than Eden Morgan. The very woman who, in the build up to the event, was revealed to have had a hand in the plot to destroy Angelfields. It was also revealed that Gabriel had been involved in the treatment of Eden Morgan whilst she was in recovery. At Wrestlestock 2017, Gabriel met his greatest rival one on one and came out the otherside with the World Heavyweight Championship.
It was in the aftermath of Wrestlestock that Gabriel adopted the moniker "The Serpent" as Gabriel now felt he was the one entity that truly destroyed the perfection of Eden.
The proceeding year saw Gabriel join The Court, a group also involving Killian King, Jet Somers and Eden Morgan. After Killian left the coalition and their association with Jet Somers came to an end, Gabriel and Eden would forge on as a team - a pair of Serpents, culminating at Horizons 2018 in a match in which they faced Lucy Wylde and Jet Somers. Gabriel would sacrifice his career in order to protect Eden, and the two would leave UGWC.
Almost a year later, Gabriel resurfaced under the guise of The Chimera, meddling in the affairs of many of UGWC's superstars, before finally revealing himself and his return to UGWC just in time for Infinity and the Global Challenge as part of UGWC's centenary celebrations. At Horizons that same year, Gabriel and his wife Eden Morgan won the UGWC Cooperative Championships for the second time.
In 2021, Gabriel Baal was the first competitor to win the UGWC Conquest Championship and successfully defend five times, earning himself a UGWC World Heavyweight Championship match.
