Championship Roll Call:
World Heavyweight Champion: Alan Wallace
Cross-Hemisphere Champion: Alan Wallace
Cooperative Champions: Team Kickass
Chaos Champion: Travis Pierce
Welcome to this week's Synergy recap! I'm Brutus Weathertop, all set to bring you the not-so-live-but-live-to-you coverage of Synergy.
It’s Sarah Lacklan Appreciation Night! The Red Queen has purchased the card and has a little bit of everything, from a battle royal to big time fourway action, to what is certain to be an epic arm wrestling contest with the star of the night, herself.
Oh yeah, and a little event called Day of Reckoning happened a couple weeks back, and Vain is now a double champion, and is once again the World Champion for the first time in over two and a half years. He’ll be in action tonight, and our main event featuring the one singles title Vain doesn’t currently possess, as Travis Pierce defends the Chaos Championship against Angelica Vaughn.
Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
The Red Queen welcomes us to Lacklan Appreciation Night.
Okay so this is likely to be a mess, but we’re starting with Kem Dynamo, Zane Scott, Dave Rydell, Cazador (he’s back!), Elizabeth Blackwell, Phrixus Deimos, Annie Fugate, Angie Vaughn, Vinny Lane (he’s new!) and Bordy.
Everybody brawls with everybody, Blackwell and Fugate predictably working together, trying to get Zane out, he fights them off and they target Cazador instead. Bordy recklessly heaves herself at anybody in front of her, and Vinny Lane proudly declares he is going to win for Roxy, moments before Dynamo boots him in the face.
Cazador takes Blackwell and Fugate down with a double clothesline, and Bordy rushes him, scratching and clawing all over him as he ignores it, tilting his head and appearing to just stare at Bordy as she draws blood from his arms. Zane struggles with Deimos as Dynamo is trying to eliminate Vaughn. Cazador shoves Bordy away, she springs up and rushes Rydell, but he drops his shoulder and backdrops her out to eliminate her.
Blackwell and Fugate double team Vinny, beating him down and together they toss him over the ropes, and he declares he love for Roxy again as he sails through the air. Cazador delivers clubbing blows to both Zane and Deimos, but The Midnightmares upend him from behind, flipping him over the ropes, and Cazador lands on his feet at ringside and refuses to acknowledge that anything bad happened as he heads backstage. Blackwell looks for a next target, but Fugate grabs her from behind and shocks her by tossing her out.
Commentary reminds us that battle royals are every person for themself as Jay suggests there is something more to what just happened. Vaughn manages to kick Dynamo away just as Deimos sidesteps a swing by Fugate and lifts her into the Numbing. Vaughn charges at Deimos, but he catches her in an overhead belly to belly toss. Zane is trying to force out Rydell, but Rydell elbows him away and lands safely in the ring. Deimos attempts to eliminate Fugate, but Dynamo charges and eliminates both with a double clothesline.
Dynamo turns around right into a running boot from Zane, it catches her in the face and sends her tumbling over the ropes, and we are down to three. A two-handed sledge strike knocks down Rydell, Vaughn leaps onto Zane from behind and has him wrapped around the throat, but Zane reaches back and flips her over. Zane lifts Vaughn into a powerbomb position, goes to hurl her over the ropes, but Vaughn grabs onto the top rope and pulls Zane over with her legs, yanking him out and eliminating him as she lands on the apron and rolls back into the ring!
Down to two as Vaughn stares across the ring at Rydell, but Sarah Lacklan is back on the stage with a microphone. She congratulations both and declares them co-winners, and announces their special prize, that in two weeks, Rydell and Vaughn will team to challenge Sarah and Kenzi for the Cooperative Championship!
Winners: Angelica Vaughn and Dave Rydell
Time: 6:26
Backstage, Eden and Baal appear to have been stood up.
Rydell jaw-jacks with Raab right away, but Bordy heaves herself at Rydell, overwhelming him in apparent payback for the elimination earlier tonight. Bordy and Rydell spill through the ropes to ringside, and Raab is fixated on it from the ring, leaving himself open to being pulled into a cradle by Mizore, which gets a two count.
Mizore and Raab both pop back to their feet, Mizore ducks under a clothesline and connects with a standing dropkick that knocks Raab back into a corner. Rydell has managed to overpower Bordy on the outside, heaving her into the barricade, and he slides in and knocks Mizore down with a clothesline. Rydell charges at Raab in the corner, but runs into a boot to the face before being taken down with a hurricarana by Mizore. Mizore charges at Raab herself, but gets backdropped to the outside, and Raab turns his attention squarely on Rydell.
Raab ducks under a wild right hand, wraps Rydell up in a waistlock and hits a German suplex. Raab maintains the hold and rolls into a second German suplex, releasing on this one. Rydell tries to get to his feet but stands into several boxing punches, Raab whips Rydell into the corner, charges at him, but Rydell explodes out of the corner and nearly breaks Raab in half with the Tip of the Spear! Rydell stands over Raab, but Mizore comes off a turnbuckle and connects with Breaking the Ice! Mizore covers, but Bordy pulls her out through the ropes!
Bordy whips Mizore around by her hair on the outside, then stands on her back and stomps on her repeatedly as in the ring Raab has beat Rydell back to the ropes and slams into him with a clothesline that sends both spilling over the ropes. Bordy rolls Mizore into the ring and slides in, but gets pulled into a cradle for a two count, as the brawl between Raab and Rydell has now spilled into the crowd.
Mizore and Bordy exchange chops in the ring, Mizore sends Bordy off the ropes into a tilt-a-whirl, but Bordy floats over behind her, grabs her by the head and executes L'étreinte de Dieu, and that gets the three.
Winner: Le Bord de Dieu
Time: 9:51
Roxy and Eden to start, Roxy with a flurry of offense to start, but Eden puts a stop to that with a knee lift. She sends Roxy off the ropes, Roxy ducks under a clothesline, comes back with a spinning heel kick. Eden tries to get right to her feet, but is off-balance and stumbles into the corner. Roxy charges in with a handspring elbow, and Eden slumps down against the bottom turnbuckle. Roxy charges back in for the Kitty Buster, but Eden moves out of the way and Roxy rams into the turnbuckle.
Eden rolls to her corner and makes a tag to Baal, who picks up Roxy into a snap suplex, and follows up with a gutwrench suplex. Baal pokes at Roxy’s head with his foot a couple times, before picking her up into a T-Bone suplex, and he brings her to the corner and makes a tag to Eden. Eden comes in and stomps Roxy down before tagging back out to Baal, and Eden and Baal makes a series of rapid tags, working Roxy over and keeping her from her partner. After the latest tag, Baal hits a kneeling neckbreaker and turns over into a DDT, and Eden rushes in with a running shooting star press. Covert Jay refers to the combination as Belladonna, and Eden covers, but Kenzi breaks it up.
Eden tags back out to Baal, and he again taunts Roxy, nudging her with his foot as she attempts to crawl towards Kenzi, now he grabs her by the leg and drags her back, but she gets up on one leg and attempts an Enziguri kick. Baal ducks it and shoves her away, but she comes off the ropes with a shining wizard, and now they both are down. Roxy dives to her corner and makes the tag to Kenzi, who rushes into the ring and knocks Baal down with a clothesline. Eden comes into the ring but eats a series of right hands as well, and a shotgun dropkick slams her against the turnbuckle. Baal takes advantage of the opportunity to recover, and springboards into the Freudian Slip, connecting on Kenzi.
Baal grounds Kenzi with a headlock, and begins asking her questions related to Outlast and possibly joining the team. Eden shouts and gets his attention, pointing out they already talked to Kenzi last week on Chill. Baal stands and stares down at Kenzi, then points at Roxy out on the apron, but Eden emphatically relates that they already talked to her too. Baal asks if she is sure, and Eden nods, and Baal makes a show of throwing up his arms and shaking his head.
Baal points towards the commentary table and Eden glances at it before agreeing, and the two head to the outside and begin to interview Covert Jay regarding Outlast. Vinegar protests the timing and Lieberjosch is insulted at being ignored as meanwhile Sam Green has counted them out of the match.
Winners: Kenzi Grey and Roxy Cotton by Count-Out
Time: 10:32
Baal and Eden ignore what just happened, continuing the ringside interview, but Kenzi and Roxy exchange a glance, and both vault the ropes for tandem splashes, taking Baal and Eden out before celebrating together. I mean, that’s not going to get you drafted.
This is going to be an arm wrestling contest, with a table set up in the center of the ring on which the contest can take place.
Lacklan makes a show of things as she prances around the ring, flexing and declaring to the crowd that she is “more jacked” than Lockheart, as the latter watches her from the ring, unamused. Lacklan eventually makes her way into the ring, but as Lockheart places her elbow on the table to commence the contest, Lacklan turns her attention away to taunt the crowd some more, until Chartreuse finally directs her gently towards the table.
Lacklan begins to place her arm into position, but backs away, insisting that Chartreuse check Lacklan for contraband. Lockheart looks annoyed but steps back and lifts her arms, allowing Chartreuse to complete it, never breaking her stare from Lacklan, as the Red Queen tells the crowd that Lockheart can’t be trusted to compete fairly.
Lacklan continues to stall, prompting Lockheart to mockingly ask her if she would prefer to play rock, paper, scissors. Lacklan conditionally agrees, but stipulates that it be Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock. Covert Jay explains these expanded rules on commentary, adding a reminder that Ninja trumps everything.
Lockheart has had enough, aggressively slamming her own arm into position and demanding that Lacklan finally compete, reminding her that she is the person that set up this challenge to begin with when she set the card.
Lacklan finally comes to the table, and the two clasp hands and begin to struggle, each trying to gain the advantage, until Lacklan stomps on Lockheart’s foot, to no effect! Lacklan is left off-balance, and Lockheart slams her fist down on the table, with Chartreuse declaring her the winner as commentary postulates that Lockheart may be wearing steel-tipped boots.
Lacklan protests that the contest was unfair, and Lockheart shrugs and places her elbow back on the table, motioning for Lacklan to come lose again. Lacklan hesitates a moment, but agrees and moves into position. They clasp hands and Lockheart begins to gain an advantage, but Lacklan cracks her with the Cop Killa with her other hand! Lacklan wastes no time picking Lockheart up and lifts her into the air, driving her through the table with a brainbuster! Lacklan stands over Lockheart and shouts for the crowd to look at her, taking a bow.
Backstage, Roxy Cotton seeks out Necron.
Necron brawls with Zane, they spill out to ringside as Vain and Deimos grapple in the ring. Deimos takes Vain down into a pinning predicament for a two count, transitions directly into a second for another two count, and as Vain breaks this Deimos backslides into into a third pin, which Vain rolls out of immediately and rolls to the outside. Vain decries this treatment and points at Owen Peterson, but gets taken out by Deimos as he baseball slides under the bottom rope.
Necron shoves Zane into the ring post as commentary reminds us that Zane already participated in the battle royal earlier in the night, and Necron turns into a dropkick from Deimos that knocks him back into the barricade. Deimos pushes Zane into the ring and slides in for a cover, but Zane shoves him off. Zane gets to his feet while rotating his shoulder for a moment, but Deimos knocks him into the corner with a dropkick. Deimos charges but Zane moves out of the way, only for Deimos to run up the turnbuckle and explode back out with the Fainting, taking Zane down. Deimos with the cover, but Vain reaches through the ropes and yanks him out.
Vain drives Deimos into the side of the ring with his shoulder, then rolls in to face Zane as the latter is getting back to his feet. Vain delivers a clubbing blow to the back, then sets up the Cherry Popper, but Zane shoves him away. Vain holds onto the ropes and glares back at Zane, but Necron reaches up and yanks him over the top rope, and Vain lands hard on the apron before tumbling to ringside.
Necron steps into the ring and has a staredown with Zane, they exchange blows and brawl in the ring, with Zane overpowering Necron back into the ropes. He whips Necron across the ring, but as he comes back both men clothesline the other, and they are both down, as on the outside Vain is stomping around and declaring this entire endeavor to be beneath him. Necron and Zane are both down, as Deimos is up on a turnbuckle and he leaps and hits the Meteor Press on Zane! Deimos covers, but Vain is back in the ring and breaks it up. Vain tosses Deimos out, then kicks Necron out under the bottom rope before sliding into a cover on Zane, but Zane shoves him off at two.
Vain to his feet, springboards towards Zane, but Zane catches him in the air into Piercing Misery. Zane sets Vain up on a turnbuckle, climbs to the second rope, but Necron is in the ring and lifts him off the ropes into a side suplex. Necron covers, but Deimos immediately breaks it up. Necron to his feet, Deimos goes to whip him across the ring, but Necron reverses and pulls him back into the Reaper. Necron turns into a two-handed sledge strike to the face from Zane , knocking him on his back, and Zane goes to set up Salt the Earth, but Vain comes off the top rope with the Money Maker on Zane!
Zane rolls out of the ring before Vain can lay his arm across to cover, and Vain slams his fist on the mat in frustration. He stands and turns right into Necron, who has him by the throat, but Vain knocks the arm away and has had enough. He screams for his proxy, and Necron hesitates with confusion as a man rushes out from backstage and runs to the ring, referred to as Glenn the Proxy by Covert Jay. Vain rolls out and walks up the ramp as Jay explains that the fine print in Vain’s contract allows Glenn to take his place in a match, and Necron shrugs and lifts Glenn into Judgement Day before stepping on him for a cover and the three.
Winner: Necron

Angelica enters first and gets a heroes welcome. She makes her dramatic entrance and plays the crowd all the way down. Once she’s in the ring, Hazel East checks her for some reason, since everything is legal. It must be force of habit.
The UGWC Chaos Champion enters second and his reception is somewhat less positive. He gets a few cheers, but the fans largely and loudly shower him with boos. He doesn’t care. He strolls to the ring with the Chaos Championship held overhead, enters confidently and walks to center ring where he keeps the championship overhead as he stares at Angelica.
Hazel walks over to him and goes to check him too, except he waves her away. She looks at him as if it’s too early in the match for this and she asks him for the Chaos Championship. He reluctantly turns to hand it to her as Angelica walks out to center ring.
Then Pierce hits Angelica in the face with it.
Pierce drops to the mat and begins to hammer Angelica in the face with the championship, repeatedly smashing her in the face with it until she’s bleeding. He lifts it up, sees her blood on it and looks furious at her for bleeding on it. He yells at her that she shouldn’t have dirtied the Championship with her blood, then hits her with it again...because that makes sense. He finally turns and hands the Chaos Championship to Hazel, who leans out of the ring and calls for the bell as Piece drops to the mat, mounts Angelica and proceeds to tee off on her with his fists.
He mercilessly slugs her over and over, slamming punch after punch into her face until she’s a bloody mess. He finally stands up and looks down at his blood soaked fists, then flicks them at her in disgust. He grabs her feet, roughly pulls her from the corner and drops for the pin. He demands that Hazel count it quickly so he can get back to his locker room. Hazel rolls her eyes at him but drops to the mat and slaps the mat once. Angelica kicks out. Pierce looks incredulous.
He pulls Angelica to her feet and throws her into the corner. He runs in and slams a series of elbow strikes at her. He throws her to the mat, hops up onto the turnbuckle and flies off looking for the “Piercing Blow”. He lands it and hooks her leg. She kicks out again, this time at one and a half. He pulls her up and drops her with a stump piledriver followed by a snap suplex. He leaps over onto her and hooks her leg. This time she kicks out before Hazel even gets the one count. Pierce looks incensed and pulls her leg up again. Hazel drops to the mat but doesn’t even get the one before Angelica kicks out energetically. Pierce yells at Hazel that her count is too slow, but she just shrugs at him..
Pierce stands up and slides from the ring. He begins to rummage around under it and proceeds to throw numerous items into the ring, which include but aren’t limited to a kendo stick, a chair, an empty trashcan, a broom, an iron and a bowling ball. He finally stands up with one more item in hand and a disturbing smile on his face. It’s a barbed wire wrapped ball bat.
He slides back into the ring and crouches as Angelica pulls herself to her feet with the ropes. Pierce breaks into a charge and holds the bat up, aiming for her head. It doesn’t work out as planned as Angelica ducks, gets her shoulder under him, lifts him up and dumps him over the top rope to the floor. Pierce slams back first off of the ring apron and then slams into the floor and unfortunately for him the bat “breaks” his fall.
Angelica grabs the chair and slides from the ring. She raises it and proceeds to repeatedly smash it into Pierce’s back until it’s red. Pierce arches his back in pain and rolls over onto it. Angelica takes the opening and brings the chair down onto the bat and drives it and the barbed wire into his stomach. Pierce screeches in pain, pain that only intensifies as Angelica mercilessly hammers the bat with the chair until his stomach is a bloody mess. She throws the chair down and yanks the bloody bat from his stomach. It’s a discomforting sight to say the least.
She holds it up with both hands as the blood pours down her face and lets out a loud yell, she brings it down to hit Pierce in the stomach again but suddenly sinks to her knees and drops it. Pierce pulls his leg back and smiles as he pulls himself to his feet. He grabs Angelica and DDTs her into the floor, then pulls her up and rolls her into the ring, then throws up the ring apron and looks under the ring. Seconds later he slides a table out and into the ring and then slides in after it. He sets it up and pulls Angelica up, hoists her overhead and powerbombs her into the table, shattering it. He stacks her up and places his feet on the ropes as Hazel drops down for the pin. She gets to two and a half before Angelica kicks out.
Pierce stacks her again, this time with a fistful of her tights, but once again she kicks out at two. Pierce goes to stack her again, but this time she grabs him around the head, somehow rolls through it and ends up on top of him with her fingers in his gullet as she locks in “EW!”. Pierce begins to furiously pound the mat, fully aware that submitting isn’t an option. His eyes take on a momentary look of panic before they calm again. He pulls his hands up and punches Angelica in the face. She momentarily slackens her hold, but sinches it back in again. Pierce punches her again and again, hammering away at her until she breaks the hold and stumbles away.
Pierce slowly stands up and coughs a few times, then charges at Angelica. She sidesteps him at the last moment so that he slams chest first into the corner. He bounces off of it and stumbles back into the ring clutching at his stomach in clear pain. Angelica immediately drives her foot into Pierce’s right arm with a “YES!” kick. He tries to turn away, but she just moves around him and kicks him again, and again and again. She finally connects with one that sends Pierce sprawling towards the far corner, which he slumps into with his arms across his stomach. Angelica grabs the garbage can that Pierce had thrown into the ring, runs across and dropkicks it into his face, then kips up, wedges it into the corner in front of him and dashes across the ring. At the last moment she flips over and cannonballs the garbage can into his face.
She pulls him out to center ring, drops down for the pin but only gets a two before Pierce kicks out. She slides out of the ring, grabs a second table and slides it into the ring. She sets it up by leaning it in the corner. She turns around and it promptly speared into the table, which causes her head to violently snap back and slam into the table. She slumps down into it as Pierce pulls himself out of the two person wreck, stumbles back and collapses into the opposite corner.
The two stay like this for what seems like an eternity before Angelica begins to stir. Pierce begins to stir moments later. Angelica pulls herself up from the mat with blood dripping from her face. She turns and staggers towards Pierce, who’s slowly pulling himself up from the corner. He stumbles out with his left arm dragging behind him from the shoulder Angelica had worked on. Angelica shakes the cobwebs out of her head and focuses on Travis. She runs at him and raises her arm at the last minute, looking for “EW!”. She thrusts her arm out at Pierce, who suddenly leaps up and connects with “The Truth Hurts”. Angelica topples over backwards and Pierce smiles as he holds a steel chair up over his head. He collapses on top of Angelica, clearly exhausted and covered in blood. Hazel drops to the mat and three seconds later Pierce has once again retained the Chaos Championship.

Chaos Championship
Travis Pierce vs Angelica Vaughn
Travis Pierce vs Angelica Vaughn
