Championship Roll Call:
World Heavyweight Champion: Alan Wallace
Cross-Hemisphere Champion: Alan Wallace
Cooperative Champions: Angelica Vaughn and Dave Rydell
Chaos Champion: Travis Pierce
Welcome to this week's Synergy recap! I'm Brutus Weathertop, all set to bring you the not-so-live-but-live-to-you coverage of Synergy.
A surprising new challenger has emerged, with Director Hastings naming Sarah Lacklan as the new #1 contender to the World Title, and as if that isn’t enough, Maggie Lockheart has underlined her continued pursuit of the Cross-Hemisphere Title, making double champion Vain a man with a massive target on his back.
Speaking of targets, Le Bord de Dieu has been quite vocal about her pursuit to recapture the Chaos Title, drawing the wrath last week of champion Travis Pierce. They meet this week with the title on the line, and should Pierce defend the title successfully, he will surpass Ichabod for the longest combined reigns in the history of the title.
The Battleground match is two weeks away, and while none of the participants have been announced yet, rumors are swirling that Hastings has a major announcement tonight. We will learn the field of UGWC’s most violent annual event?
Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
We begin with a LIVE edition of the PrincessTwilightSexyFang podcast!!!!!
Deimos cautious as the bell rings to start the match, but Zane just stares back at him, his eyes a bit vacant. Deimos feints several strikes, Zane not so much as flinching for each one, until Deimos finally actually strikes with a spinning heel kick that takes Zane off his feet. Deimos whips Zane into the corner and charges in with a hard clothesline, and Deimos follows up with a series of shoulder thrusts to the chest. Deimos whips Zane across the ring into the opposite turnbuckle, and Zane crashes into it and stumbles off, with Deimos vaulting over him and charging up the turnbuckle, exploding out and connecting with the Fainting on Zane.
Commentary notes that Zane hasn’t done a thing to defend himself yet, and in the ring Deimos has noticed the same, circling the fallen Zane and poking him with his foot, and now Deimos begins viciously stomping away on him, as Zane continues to fail to defend himself in any way. Deimos pulls Zane off the mat and into the Numbing, and covers, only to pull Zane up off the mat and yank him back to his feet, right into a second Numbing. Deimos heads to the corner and climbs the turnbuckle as Zane is completely motionless in the ring, and Deimos leaps into the air and connects with the Meteor Press, and finally covers as Owen Peterson counts a slow three.
Winner: Phrixus Deimos

Post-Match, the Lord Creative Director makes a massive Battleground announcement.
Rydell enters first. He stands at the top of the ramp and holds his half of the Co-Operative Championships up for everyone to see. They see it and react with general displeasure. Rydell blatantly doesn’t care if they like it or not as he talks trash at them all of the way down the ramp and to the ring. Once in he ascends the turnbuckles and shows the championship again. Once again he almost gets booed out of the building. You just can’t please some people. He descends back to the ring, hands his half of the Championship to Referee Glenn Burke and then goes to his corner.
Magdalena’s music cues up next and after a few moments of her not appearing, it stops. It starts again and once again a few minutes go by and no Magdalena. Rydell barks at Glenn, who just shrugs at him and explains the situation. Rydell grumbles about it but gets shrugged at again. Vinegar comments that Magdalena was last seen pursuing Alan Wallace through the backstage area. Lieberjosch makes a snide comment about it and we go back to the ring.
Eden enters and makes her way to the ring to and enters to a reception that was just as unfriendly as Rydell’s. She just smiles sweetly and mockingly waves before she finally gets to the ring and gestures for Rydell to back up. He steps forward to say something but Glenn pushes him back into his corner. Eden does Eden things that just infuriate the fans and irritate Rydell. Eden does what Eden does and plays it up. At least until Necron’s music suddenly cuts hers off.
The Grim Reaper storms to the ring in what seems like an absurdly short amount of time and immediately goes after Rydell. The two begin to slug it out while Eden just stands back against her corner and pretends to check her nails. Glenn Burke tells the two men to separate but they ignore him and continue to slug it out. After a couple of more attempts to break them up, he finally shrugs and calls for the bell.
The two men continue to slug away at each other while Eden just observes with an amused smirk on her face. Necron’s size eventually gains him the advantage as he drives a knee into Rydell’s stomach. He promptly powerbombs for current Co-Operative Champion and seems to nearly drive him through the ring. He immediately wheels on Eden, who’s smile evaporates. He stalks across the ring and grabs her by the throat with an evil smile. She struggles against him, but he just shrugs it off, pulls her off of her feet, wheels and slams her back first into the ring with a spine shaking chokeslam.
He turns back on Rydell, who is beginning to stir. He pulls him up and tosses him into the far corner with one arm, then pulls Eden up by her throat and heaves her into him. She slams back first into Rydell in the corner and bounces off him, but is immediately squashed into him and the corner by Necron, who blitzes them both and throws his massive bodyweight into them in the corner. Eden staggers out and collapses to the mat. Necron grabs Rydell, pulls him up and lands “Judgment Day”. He drops into the pin but only gets a two before Eden weakly kicks him in the back.
Necron leaps to his feet, pulls Rydell up and throws him into Eden. He crashes into her shoulder first and knocks her to the mat before he rolls from the ring to the outside. Necron pulls Eden up and throws her across the ring. He charges forward to use his power to keep flattening her. Unfortunately for him, she ducks under his attack, rolls past him and hits him with a chop block. He wheels and swings at her, but she dodges it and kicks him in the bottom of his knee. It buckles and she kicks him in it. The next few minutes are a repetition of the process while Eden uses her greater speed and agility to continually attack his legs until his right leg is clearly weakened. She almost takes him off of his feet with a double knee facebreaker, but he staggers back into the corner. She quickly follows up with the “Fall of Eden” and drops for the pin. She gets to two and three-quarters.
It’s broken up by Rydell crashing into her with the “Rydell Bomb”.
He rolls to his feet, turns and boots Eden squarely in the face. She drops back to the mat and he turns right to Necron, who is slowing getting to his feet. He runs up and spears the larger man into the corner. He turns as Eden gets up and runs at her. He hits her with a spear as well, then pulls her up by her hair. Glenn immediately tells him to let go. Rydell yells at him to shut up but releases Eden, who slithers behind him. Meanwhile Rydell is in Glenn’s face, yelling at him to stop getting in the way. She promptly drills him in the groin from behind and when he crouches down to grab at his suddenly sore southern region, she leaps up and takes him down with a headscissors takeover.
She turns, sees Necron slowly recovering in the corner, runs up and hits him with a second “Fall of Eden”. He drops to the mat in a heap again and Eden turns to put Rydell away when Lucy’s music suddenly cues up. She turns and looks up onto the stage as Lucy Wylde walks out onto it. She takes a step towards the ropes and yells something at Lucy when she’s suddenly spun around and dropped with “The Virus of Life”. Rydell leaps to his feet, throws Eden from the ring and leaps on top of Necron. Three seconds later he has an unexpected yet huge victory.
Winner: Dave Rydell

Raab and Kenzi start things out, with Raab applying a side headlock. Forearm shivers to the kidney area of Raab, before Kenzi shoves him off towards the ropes. Shoulder block sends Kenzi to the mat, but Raab misses a follow-up elbow drop. Both back to their feet, with Kenzi connecting with a snap kick to the left knee of Konrad, but the German Sensation ducks out of the way of a superkick, and the two eye each other in a stalemate as the crowd applauds.
The two move in for a lockup, but Raab ducks under and around to the back of Kenzi, wrap his arms around her waist and depositing her overhead with a German suplex. He maintains his grip, pops his hips and makes his way back to his feet, pulling Kenzi with him. Another German suplex, another pop of the hips, and he lifts her up for a third, releasing her this time and causing her to land on the back of her head. Raab with the cover, but only gets a one-count.
Konrab drags Kenzi to her feet and then takes two steps back. Measuring her, he begins connecting with boxing jabs, snapping Kenzi’s head back with each one. She then eats all of a European Uppercut that sends her back to the mat. Raab waiting on her to stagger back to her feet, which she slowly does, and then is back down after Konrab jumps at her with a Lou Thesz press. He rains down right hands, as Kenzi does her best to cover up. Konrad back to his feet and comes off the rope, but he misses a leg drop. Both back to their feet, but Raab is stopped in his tracks via a superkick. Kenzi takes off towards Konrad, ducks under a clothesline attempt, bounds off the opposite ropes, and connects with a vicious spear that Raab never saw coming. Kenzi with the cover, but only gets a two-count.
Kenzi makes the tag to Roxy, who immediately connects with a spinning heel kick, causing Raab to back-pedal into the corner. Handspring elbow from Roxy finds its mark, and she follows it up with a snapmare, and then connects with a kick to the back of Raab’s head. Cover by Roxy, but it’s broken up by Kem Dynamo. Roxy to her feet and begins jawing with Kem, allowing Konrad to get back to his feet. Near-fall as Raab rolls Roxy up with a schoolboy, but Kenzi was able to make the save. Roxy and Konrad back to their feet, Raab taking a wild swing at Roxy that she ducks under. Grabbing his arm, she forces him to the mat, and begins laying in forearm shots to the back of his head. Roxy applies the Rings of Saturn, but isn’t able to lock it in as deeply as she wants, allowing Raab to drag himself towards the ropes, and reach out and grab the bottom one, forcing the break.
Roxy to her feet and playfully kicking at the head of Konrad as he tries to get to his feet. He quickly reaches out and grabs her by the tights, jerking her off her feet, and sending her through the ropes and out to the floor. Covert Jay makes a crude comment about it being the first time the phrase ‘jerking off’ isn’t followed by a mention of fluids when it comes to Roxy Cotton. Jay is an asshole.
Raab makes his way to his corner and tags in Kem. Dynamo jumps off the apron and connects with a moonsault, the force of which sends Roxy back-first into the steel guardrail. Irish whip into the steps, followed by a back body drop, and Roxy is in a world of trouble. Dragon sleeper applied out on the floor, which does nothing as far as the outcome goes, but sure does look painful. Referee count hits 7 before Kem releases the hold and shoves Roxy back into the ring, following suit and getting a count of two-and-a-half on the pinfall attempt.
Kem eyeballing Roxy as she slowly tries getting back to her feet, and never sees Kenzi enter the ring. Bulldog sends Kem face-first into the mat, before Kenzi is ushered out of the ring by Sam Green. Roxy back to her feet now, as Kem gets back to hers. Frankensteiner into a pin attempt gets two, but Kem is able to roll the shoulder off the mat. One-legged leg lariat connects, sending Kem into the corner, where she hits hard and then slides down. Kitty Buster from Roxy, and Covert Jay excuses himself to the back. Roxy grabs Kem and pulls her to her feet, going for the Muff Diver, but Kem manages to grab onto Roxy’s waist, and counters with a powerbomb. Close call as Kem laid on Roxy with all of her weight, but Cotton somehow kicks out, and both women are spent.
Both women slowly make their way to their respective corners, attempting to tag in their partners. Kem reaches her corner first, and Raab comes barreling into the ring, cutting Roxy off from making the tag by connecting with an elbow drop to the back of her head. He pulls her to her feet, but she hauls off and slaps the taste out of his mouth, before connect with a knee lift to the breadbasket. Roxy then jumps towards Kenzi and makes the tag. With Raab still double over, Kenzi runs towards him and connects with a Breakout Performance. She makes the cover, but Raab kicks out at two.
Kenzi pulling Raab to his feet and placing his head between her legs. Grabs him by the waistband and spikes him with a piledriver. Another cover gets a two-and-a-hal, but Kem is there to break up the pinfall. Roxy in now, trading blows with Kem, the two fighting into - and then through- the ropes. Both women hit the floor, but are still intertwined and punching the everloving shit out of each other. Kenzi out to prove that she is Better Than You! by connecting with an Ice Storm, before she ends Konrad’s night with a Walk of Fame.
Winners: Roxy Cotton & Kenzi Grey-Lacklan
Time: 9:31
Vain isn’t out for the match, we get a quick cut that shows he’s still fussing about with Maggie backstage. They appear to be racing go-karts at this point. Or chasing each other. Something. THIS IS UGWC.
Eden is at ringside to support Baal, so it’s still a party. Baal and Jet go right at each other at the bell, throwing fists and brawling, with Jet fighting Baal back into the ropes. Jet goes to whip him across the ring, but Baal reverses it and pulls him back into a knee. Baal springboards into the Freudian Slip, but Jet ducks under it and Lucy catches Baal in mid-air with a dropkick.
Baal tumbles out of the ring and Eden checks on him at ringside as Jet and Lucy lock up and grapple for position. Lucy gets Jet into a side headlock, but he manages to push her off and towards the ropes. Lucy comes off the ropes and ducks under a spinning backfist, comes off the ropes again and drills Jet with a spear. Jet rolls towards the corner and Lucy lines up for Keep Your Chin Up, but Baal is back in and intercepts her with a running STO. Baal covers, but Jet breaks it up right away.
Jet goes to pull Baal up, but Baal connects with a knee lift before gutwrenching Jet into a suplex. Lucy stumbles up into a T-Bone suplex, and Baal shifts his attention back to Jet again, lifting him into The Call and bridging for a pin, but Jet is able to get his shoulder up at two.
Baal turns his focus to Lucy, hooking both arms in set-up for the Fall, but Lucy twists out and takes Baal down to the mat, looking to slap on a LeBell Lock, only for Baal to slip out of it. Baal gets to his feet and springboards into the Freudian Slip. He stands over her and looks out at Eden, and Baal yanks Lucy off the mat and hurls her out to ringside, as commentary reminds us of Lucy distracting Eden and costing her a match earlier tonight. Eden smiles a wicked grin and begins to approach the downed Lucy, but Jet drops out through the ropes and cuts her off to a roar from the crowd, and Eden backs away with her hands up as Jet glares at her.
The crowd roars even louder as Vain and Maggie have now brawled their way out from backstage and are coming down the ramp. They arrive at ringside and Vain catches her with a knee, but Maggie grabs his head and hits a jawbreaker before grabbing Vain and shoving him into the ring. Maggie looks up the ramp and waves for an out-of-breath Brian Chartreuse to hurry up and get to ringside, meanwhile in the ring Baal goes to grab Vain, but Vain catches him with the Curtain Call, as commentary points out that Vain is technically in the match.
Lucy swings at Vain for a clothesline, but Vain ducks under it and springboards into the Money Maker, laying Lucy out, but Maggie is in the ring and drives his face into the mat with Lacrimosa! Chartreuse is in the ring as Maggie covers, but Jet pulls her under the bottom rope and out of the ring, and he slides in and covers as Owen Peterson counts the three!
Winner: Jet Somers
Time: 12:18
Maggie is back in the ring and shoves Jet, and the two briefly argue. Jet puts up his hands and backs away, and Maggie glances around and notices that Vain is missing. She asks Chartreuse where he went, and the referee points out that Vain has escaped through the crowd.
Richard Vaughn, dressed in a pompous attire of puffy reds and blacks, and wearing a foppy hat, walks out onto the entrance ramp and cries out for all to hear:
As the audience is encouraged to stand, a fanfare of trumpets begins “The March of the Queen of Red.” Two lines of men wearing black uniforms with silver pins march down the aisle until the path is filled, then turn to face one another and salute with fists punched to chests. Four large men, with arms bare to show oiled muscles, carry a chair covered in silk. The Queen of Red sits on the chair wearing a robe of red with silver slashes up and down the lengths of her arms. Le Bord de Dieu wears a white mask on her face and her hair is pulled back in an elaborate braid. They are followed by a four-member team of colorguard, two carrying large poles with the flag of Lacklanland, the Purple Fist on a field of black, one with a snare drum slung over a shoulder keeping time, a third carrying The Knocker, the famed maul of the nation’s founder.
Their procession is painfully slow, forcing every set of eyes to follow them, and each set of soldiers bows low as the Queen of Red’s chair passes by. Once at ringside, she is lifted out of her chair by her strong chairmen and helped into the ring, and is followed the rest of her retinue. Once everyone is in side, Richard Vaughn cries out again:
“THE QUEEN OF RED REQUESTS THAT ALL RISE FOR THE PLAYING OF THE LACKLANLAND NATION ANTHEM!”
The soldiers all slam fists to chests as the color guard raise the colors of Lacklanand. Le Bord de Dieu stands proudly, her head turned up just above the view of the horizon, as a very distinct instrumental begins to play on the P.A. and a youthful voice with a Londoner accent sings:
The guards then take an insanely long amount of time removing the elaborate robe from Le Bord de Dieu as the soldiers and honor guard make their exit.
Vinegar: Aveline Lacklan has made one thing clear in her time with UGWC, and that’s that she IS the Champion of Chaos, title or not.
Lieberjosch: That being said, she’s made it clear that she sees the championship as her God-given badge, and she’s even changed up her game some to make sure she can overcome the champion tonight.
Pyros explode on the opening rifts of the song, and as the music softens Travis Pierce comes out from backstage and walks to the ring.
Vinegar: Travis Pierce is nearing a career-defining number of days with the Chaos Championship.
Lieberjosch: He’s one of the most prolific champions of our history, and despite the unorthodox challenger he meets tonight, he’s confident that he’ll defend and secure the record for longest collective days as champion.
Dennis: The following contest is a Chaos Rules match, and is for the UGWC Chaos Chaaaampionship!!
Dennis: Introducing first, standing at 5’5” and weighing 115 pounds, she hails from the soverign nation of Lacklandland, the Queen of Red, LE BORD DE DIEEEEEEU!!
Vinegar: Oh wow, the crowd does not like Bordy.
Dennis: And her opponent, he is the Icon of Entertainment, your Chaos Champion, TRAVIS PIIIIIIIERCE!!
Lieberjosch: Pierce unstraps the belt and holds it aloft in one hand as the crowd cheers, then he turns to smirk at Bordy before handing the belt over.
Vinegar: Mitch calling for the bell, and our Main Event is underway!
Lieberjosch: Typically, you see Le Bord open a match with an uncontrolled attack, but you really get a sense of how focused she is here as she circles Travis looking for a good opening.
Vinegar: Pierce turning to track Le Bord, and when he goes to step up to her, she yelps and throws herself over his head for a flying neckbreaker!
Lieberjosch: Bordy goes into a crouch as Pierce gets back to his feet, and she’s off again with a running knee right to his chest.
Vinegar: Pierce drops to the mat for the second time in the opening moments of the match, but bounces back up again, growling with frustration.
Covert Jay: Le Bord off the corner!
Lieberjosch: She flies from the second turnbuckle simply grabbing Pierce’s face in both hands and shoving her knees into his chest, knocking him off his feet!
Vinegar: She’s got her claws into the skin of Pierce’s face, and she’s clutching at him as if she’s trying to tear it off.
Lieberjosch: Pierce rolls to the left, throwing her off and free himself, but he rubs his face gingerly as he sits up.
Covert Jay: Le Bord rolled up to her feet and hit the ropes, throwing herself at Travis, but he rolls away!
Vinegar: Bordy finding nothing but mat as she lands, and Pierce punt kicks her in the midsection hard enough to lift her off the mat!
Lieberjosch: Le Bord, finally slowed down, curls up in a ball, holding her stomach from that kick.
Vinegar: Pierce reaches down and drags Le Bord to her feet with a handful of hair hair, and he spins her around to wrap her up with a crossface chickenwing.
Covert Jay: Travis is trying to slow things down here.
Vinegar: A good strategy, you can’t leave openings in your defense, because she’ll get in there faster than you can say Path of Light Church.
Lieberjosch: Bordy is trying to sit out, but when she can’t break Travis’s grasp, she hits him with a mule kick that nearly catches his testicles, but does serve to break the hold momentarily.
Vinegar: Travis, to his credit, doesn’t fully let go, and instead takes the opportunity to swing Le Bord around by her hair and sling her through the ropes, dumping her to the outside!
Lieberjosch: Bordy hits the floor hard, and Travis follows up with an elbow drop over the top rope!
Covert Jay: Suicide Piercing Blow!
Vinegar: Pierce to his feet, a little shaky from that suicidal dive, but he gets Le Bord up and whips her up onto the barrier, draping her half way across.
Lieberjosch: He’s pounding on her back with axehandle chops, but soon gives up to scoop up a folding chair!
Vinegar: Travis raises the chair, and is about to bring it down on Le Bord, but she rolls over onto her back and uses both feet to kick the chair into his face!
Covert Jay: Travis staggers back, hitting the steel steps and falling into a seated position, dazed.
Vinegar: Bordy up on the barrier now, she leaps off, hitting Travis with a kick that smacks his head back onto the top of the steel steps.
Lieberjosch: As he crumples off the side of the steps, Le Bord snatches the chair away and grabs it by the legs, driving the edge of the chair into him repeatedly!
Vinegar: Travis reeling, and in desperation sweeps Le Bord’s legs from under her.
Covert Jay: He flips the apron up, and drags a kendo stick out.
Lieberjosch: Travis is clutching the stick, and he crawls over on his knees and begins driving the end of it into Le Bord as he gets unsteadily to his feet.
Vinegar: He’s still slamming that kendo stick into her, but he eventually tosses it aside and scoops Le Bord up to roll her into the ring.
Lieberjosch: Travis going up the turnbuckles now, looking to close this one out…
Covert Jay: Piercing Blow!
Vinegar: Le Bord rolled away!
Lieberjosch: Pierce found nothing but mat as he landed, and Le Bord has escaped from the ring on the other side!
Vinegar: She’s grabbed a camera from one of our techs, and she’s dragging it into the ring.
Covert Jay: Those things can weigh upwards of forty pounds!
Vinegar: Le Bord pulls Travis to his feet, but he grabs her and sets up the Breakdown toward the camera!
Lieberjosch: No! Le Bord manages to wriggle free, and grabs a double handful of Travis’ hair!
Covert Jay: X-factor onto the camera!
Vinegar: Le Bord descends on Travis, and locks in Le Doux Sommeil de Dieu!
Lieberjosch: Travis has nowhere to go, Le Bord picked her spot well.
Covert Jay: He’s tapping! He’s tapping!
Dennis: Your winner, and NEW UGWC CHAOS CHAMPION, LE BORD DE DIEU!!
Vinegar: Down a difficult road, Le Bord refocused and managed to find her way back to the Chaos Championship!
Lieberjosch: Travis falls just short of setting the record he’d hoped for, but I have a feeling he’s not going to forget who ruined it for him!
Winner: Le Bord de Dieu

Kem Dynamo and Konrad Raab vs Kenzi Grey and Roxy Cotton

Alan Wallace vs Gabriel Baal vs Jet Somers vs Lucy Wylde

Chaos Championship
Travis Pierce vs Le Bord de Dieu
Travis Pierce vs Le Bord de Dieu
Richard Vaughn, dressed in a pompous attire of puffy reds and blacks, and wearing a foppy hat, walks out onto the entrance ramp and cries out for all to hear:
“ALL RISE FOR THE QUEEN OF RED'S PROCESSIONAL! ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!”
O Lacklanland!
Our home and annexed land!
True subjection the Queen of Red command
With glowing fires we see you rise
The true Champion of Chaos!
From far and wide
O Lacklanland, we raise our fists for thee
God keep our Queen, beautiful and free
O Lacklanland, we raise our fists for thee!
O Lacklanland, we raise our fists for thee!
