Welcome to GlobalTrollz LIVE Synergy Coverage for October 22nd, 2018!
Championship Roll Call:
World Heavyweight Champion: Alan Wallace
Cross-Hemisphere Champion: Alan Wallace
Cooperative Champions: Angelica Vaughn and Dave Rydell
Chaos Champion: Le Bord de Dieu
Welcome to this week's Synergy recap! I'm Brutus Weathertop, all set to bring you the not-so-live-but-live-to-you coverage of Synergy.
We are a week away from Battleground, and the field for the titular match is set, with Bordy, Kem Dynamo, Konrad Raab, Phrixus Deimos, Travis Pierce, and Zane Scott all set to battle within the brutal cell, with control of their fate at Horizons on the line. Four of the six will compete in cooperative action tonight with Dynamo and Pierce taking on Bordy and Raab, meanwhile Zane Scott has had the odds stacked against him by the Creative Director, and he will take on all four of the #CoolKids in a handicap match.
One of those four, Sarah Selena Grey-Lacklan, is preparing to face Alan Wallace for the World TItle at Battleground, but Vain has a major hurdle still in his path to get there, as his surprising three week long title defense against Maggie Lockheart is expected to reach a conclusion here tonight.
Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
Wylde looks uncomfortable having to team with Necron. She eyes him cautiously as Eden and Baal make their way together to the ring. Commentary hypes that not only will Eden Morgan face Lucy Wylde at Battleground, but Gabriel Baal will be taking on Necron.
Wylde tells Necron she’ll start the match, Eden smiles and steps out through the ropes to let Baal start against her. Double elbow tie-up as they both grapple for position, knee to the chest by Baal as he moves into a waistlock. Standing switch by Lucy, and she takes Baal down with a side leg sweep. She comes off the ropes as he gets back to his knees, and Lucy connects with a shining wizard. Lucy covers, but Baal kicks out at one and a half. Lucy goes for a springboard leg lariat as Baal is getting up, but Baal catches her in the air and drives her to the mat.
Baal makes a tag to Eden, but comes back to Lucy and hits a kneeling neckbreaker, transitioned into a DDT. Eden rushes into the ring and connects with a running shooting star to complete the Belladonna, and she hooks the leg, but Lucy gets the shoulder up at two. Eden brings Lucy to the corner and drives her shoulder into Lucy’s chest with repeated thrusts, before tagging back out to Baal.
Baal and Eden make a series of tags, each taking shots on Lucy as they keep her isolated from Necron, who quietly glares at both of them as they pick Lucy Wylde apart. Baal pins Lucy against the turnbuckle and makes a tag to Eden, who comes in and performs a headscissor takedown. Baal puts Lucy into a sleeper hold and rolls onto his back, bringing Lucy up as a shield as Eden climbs the turnbuckle, and Eden leaps into the air for a double footstomp, but Lucy tucks her legs, rolling off of Baal and Eden accidentally lands on him instead, forcing him to release his hold, and Lucy rolls to her corner and makes the tag to Necron.
Necron storms into the ring and knocks both Eden and Baal down with clotheslines, he grabs Baal by the throat and glares at him, but Eden clubs him from behind. Necron spins and has her by the throat instead, Baal charges at him but catches a boot to the face. Eden gets her foot up, looking for the Fall of Eden, but Necron counters it into a jacknife pin and surprises her for the three!
Winners: Lucy Wylde and Necron

Post-Match, Necron is looking for more...
Deimos enters first and makes his way to the ring without acknowledging the fans. He enters the ring and walks to his corner, which he leans into in an almost bored looking manner as he awaits his on-again, off-again tag partner and consistent rival for the Cross-Hemisphere Championship. Rydell enters shortly after, taking time on the ramp to show off his half of the Co-Operative Championship before he runs down to the ring and slides in. He practically marches over to Deimos and raises his Championship belt up in Deimos’ face as he trash talks. Glenn Burke finally separates the two of them and sends Rydell back to his own corner. He performs the rest of his pre-match Referee duties and then calls for the bell.
The two men advance on each other and engage in a tie up that leads to the two of them trying to force the other into a corner. This goes on until Rydell catches Deimos with knee to the stomach that he follows up with a running knee-lift that catches Deimos squarely on the chin. Deimos staggers back but Rydell charges him and clotheslines him into the corner, then grabs him and slams him face first into the mat with a DDT. Deimos rolls out to center ring and Rydell leaps up onto the turnbuckle, then flies off and lands the “Rydell Bomb”. He goes for the pun but only gets a two before Deimos kicks out.
Rydell glares up at Glenn Burke then roughly pulls Deimos up by his head. He hooks an arm around his head and runs towards the corner for the Acid Drop, but as soon as he pushes off of the turnbuckle, Deimos shoves him and sends him crashing to the mat. Deimos briefly steadies himself in the corner, then runs out of it and hits a running neck snap on Rydell. He leaps to his feet, turns and follows it up with a stiff kick to Rydell’s face that drops him to the mat. He pulls Rydell up, hits him with a quick neckbreaker, which he follows up with a German Suplex and then pulls Rydell up and slams him back into the mat with “The Numbing”.
He drops on top of Rydell and goes for a pin, but only gets a two before Rydell kicks out. Deimos pulls Rydell to his feet but is suddenly hit with “The Virus of Life”. The move leaves the two men flat on the mat with Deimos laying face down and Rydell flat on his back. The two men lay still on the mat for a few moments before Rydell rolls over, pushes Deimos onto his back and drapes an arm across him. He gets a two and eight-tenths before Deimos kicks out. Rydell slams his fists into the mat and slowly gets to his feet. He backs up a few steps and yells at Deimos to get up.
Deimos slowly gets up and staggers back into the corner. Rydell charges at him, clearly looking for “The Tip of the Spear”. Just as it looks as if he’s going to connect with it, Deimos steps to the side, drives his knee into Rydell’s chin and then grabs him by the ears and slams him into the mat on the back of his head. He pulls him up, drops him onto his head with another “Numbing”, then leaps up onto the turnbuckle, hits a “Meteor Press” and three seconds later he has another win.
Winner: Phrixus Deimos

Raab enters first and waits a the top of the ramp for his partner, the reigning Chaos Champion, Le Bord de Dieu. She enters soon after and holds the Chaos Championship up for all to see. The two walk to the ring to her music and enter, although she makes sure to enter first to show y him who’s in charge of the team. Once in the ring, Le Bord holds her Chaos Championship overhead again and makes sure that everyone sees it. Once she’s done, she hands it to Hazel East. Mitchell Dennis introduces their team and then they both await Kem and Pierce.
Kem enters first and makes her way out onto the ramp. She only gets a part of the way through her entrance when Pierce’s music suddenly cues up because...Pierce. He walks out onto the stage and looks at her dismissively before he orders her to walk to the ring behind him. She looks at him like he’s insane and they exchange brief unpleasantries before he turns and walks down the ramp on his own. She shakes her head and follows him down, clearly exasperated. Once they get there, Pierce points at the ropes and orders her to hold them open for him. She replies...impolitely and he finally scowls at her and enters the ring himself. She enters a moment later after shaking her head in disgust. The two go to their corner and Pierce orders her to start the match. She rolls her eyes at him but stays in the ring.
Raab joins her a moment later and the two walk to center ring and shake hands, a gesture that makes both of their partners extremely unhappy. They back up and begin to circle each other, measuring up their best options for attack. After a few moments of it, the finally tie up and Raab uses his slightly greater weight and his greater height to push Kem back into the corner. He drives his hip into her stomach a few times, then quickly snaps her out of the corner with a snap suplex that he rolls through and pulls her back to her feet, wraps his arms around her waist and drops her onto her head with a German Suplex. Hazel drops to the mat but only gets to one before Kem kicks out. Raab stands up and backs up a couple of steps, which draws a sharp rebuke from Le Bord.
Kem slowly gets to her feet and shakes the cobwebs out as she rubs the back of her head. She nods at Konrad and the two walk to center right and lock up again. Raab wraps an arm around her head but she shoves him off and into the ropes. He bounces off and comes back, only for her to hit him with a rolling kick that catches him in the side of the head and takes him back to the mat. Kem pops up, leaps up and drops onto him with a senton, then leaps up, bounces off of the second rope and drops onto him with a splash. She pulls his leg up for a pin but barely gets a “one” when he kicks out.
She pulls him up and whips him into the far corner, then runs at him, drops into a roll a few steps away, springs up and hits him with a clothesline. He staggers out of the corner and drops to the mat as she leaps up onto the turnbuckle and leaps off. She drops for an elbow drop but finds nothing but empty canvas as Raab rolls out of the way. She slams down hard on her elbow and Raab leaps onto it and locks her into an armbar. He has to break it quickly as she’s close to the ropes. He pulls her out of the corner and drops back into the armbar, wrenching down on her arm as she yells in pain.
It’s broken up when Pierce comes into the ring and kicks him in the head. Hazel tells Pierce to get out of the ring, but instead of leaving he takes the opportunity to land a cheap shot in Raab’s ribs. Hazel finally manages to shove him back into his own corner. He steps out, leans over and yells at Kem to tag him. Meanwhile, Raab is slowly making his way to his corner, where Le Bord has her hand outstretched and is screeching at him to tag her in.
Raab makes it first and tags Le Bord in. She leaps over the top rope, charges at Kem and falls on her with a barrage of punches. Hazel warns her about using closed fists and Le Bord just cackles at her before she stands up and begins to violently stomp Kem. She pauses and looks at Pierce with an evil smile, then grabs Kem by her head and begins to viciously smash her face into the mat. Hazel warns her about grabbing Kem by her hair, but Le Bord just ignores it and continues to bounce Kem’s face off of the mat. She doesn’t stop until Pierce runs in, grabs her by her hair, snaps her backwards and slams her off of the mat head first. Hazel grabs him and shoves him back into his corner as Kem finally reaches it and tags him in.
Pierce leaps over the top rope, dashes across the ring and slams a forearm into Konrad’s face, which knocks him off of the apron and to the floor. He’s suddenly upended as Le Bord grabs him from behind and reciprocates the earlier hair-slam as she drives the back of his head into the mat. She doesn’t let up after it and promptly drops an elbow into his chest and then proceeds to spend the next few minutes bouncing around the ring and slamming into him at every opportunity until both of them are down on the mat in clear pain...although Le Bord is still smiling gleefully.
Hazel waits a few moments and begins the standing ten count while both Kem and Konrad stand on the apron calling for their partners to tag them in. By five, Travis is about halfway to his and Aveline is about three-quarters of the way to her’s. Unfortunately for Pierce, Aveline reaches her’s first and she tags in Konrad, who leaps in and cuts Pierce off with a wheelbarrow suplex before he can tag in Kem. He proceeds to flatten Pierce with nearly every variation of German Suplex that you can think of, and probably a few that you haven’t, which leaves Pierce as a crumpled heap in the ring.
He rolls Pierce over and goes for the pin, but Pierce kicks out at two and a half. Konrad pulls him up and goes to wrap him up for another suplex, but Pierce headbutts him. The impact staggers Konrad, who lets Pierce go. He promptly runs to his corner and tags Kem in before he rolls out to the floor. She looks at him with open disgust before she steps through the ropes. For the next few minutes Kem and Konrad trade holds. Konrad uses his strikes and suplexes on her while Kem uses her Lucha arsenal to keep him off balance. By the time the two are done, they’re both clearly tired, but clearly respect each other.
They extend for another collar and elbow tie up when Kem is suddenly hit from behind by Aveline. She slams into Konrad, which sends him back into the ropes, after which Kem staggers back into her corner. Pierce slaps her hard on the shoulder, steps in and orders her out. She glares at him disgustedly, steps out and stands on the apron. Travis turns and walks right into “The Iceinator” and a shocking three count.
Winners: Le Bord de Dieu and Konrad Raab
Time: 12:36
Backstage, Maggie and Vain are well underway.
Commentary gets word that after what we just saw backstage, this will be tonight’s main event. Sheesh, I hope they give the live crowd a dark match main or something, because this looks like it’s about to get ugly.
Kenzi is steps in to start the match against Zane, she looks a bit reticent but Roxy and Sarah are both shouting encouragement from the apron. Kenzi is cautious at first, but delivers a kick to the gut and lifts Zane into a suplex. She rolls to her feet in anticipation of a follow-up, but hesitates when she sees that Zane is not getting back to his feet. Sarah and Roxy encourage her to keep going, but Kenzi backs away from Zane, and Roxy leans over the ropes and tags herself in.
Roxy charges in with a running knee to the seated Zane, and she drags him to the corner and stomps him down in front of her stablemates. Roxy and Sarah make a series of fast tags, taking turns stomping away on Zane, who is once again doing nothing to defend himself. From the apron, Angie looks as though she is watching somebody torture a puppy.
Roxy comes in on the most recent tag and backs away from the corner before charging in for the Kitty Buster. She pulls Zane out of the corner and covers, but Sarah comes in and pulls her off. Roxy asks Sarah what she is doing, and Sarah says he hasn’t had enough yet. Sarah pulls Zane up and cracks him with the Cop Killa, and now she covers. Looks like Owen Peterson is unfazed by the now lack of tags, he slides into position for the count, but Roxy is on the turnbuckle and launches off for a moonsault. Sarah sees her in the air and rolls quickly out of the way before Roxy crashes onto Zane, and Roxy hooks the leg, only for Sarah to again pull her off, and now they are having an animated debate, with Sarah pointing in the air and pantomiming the moonsault that almost hit her. Meanwhile, Angie has left the apron and joined the commentary team, loudly voicing her displeasure with the entire affair. Hans suggests she go do something about it if she feels so strongly about it.
Sarah and Roxy appear to have put aside their differences and they work together to lift Zane into a double brain buster, which Covert Jay calls The BB. Sarah and Roxy cover together and get the three!
Winners: #CoolKids
Time: 6:19
Sarah and Roxy celebrate their victory with obnoxious feigned exhaustion as Kenzi looks conflicted on the apron and Angie rebukes the injustice of the entire segment on commentary, when Dave Rydell appears out of nowhere and lays out Roxy with the Virus of Life! Rydell drops right out of the ring and jaw-jacks at Angie about getting her shit together on his way into the crowd.
Kenzi drops off the apron and stares out over the barricade at him, and Vain suddenly springs out of the crowd and catches her in a Curtain Call!!! Sarah has been checking on Roxy in the ring, and she scrambles to the outside to Kenzi, as Vain is back on the other side of the barricade with the World Title held overhead, and he winks to Sarah before disappearing into the mob.
