Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
“El Flippy Loco” enters first to a respectable cheer. He flips, flops, twists, leaps, corkscrews and cartwheels his way down to the ring and actually manages to sign an autograph on the way down. While his first two matches in UGWC haven’t gone his way, the astoundingly agile aerial artist has made a strong impression on the UGWC fanbase and roster. Wrestley McWrestleface gets to the ring and launches himself from one side of it to the other, then settles into his corner and waits for Dave Rydell to enter.
He doesn’t have long to wait as one-half of the reigning UGWC Co-Operative Champions and stalwart Dave Rydell storms out onto the stage. He shows his half of the Co-Operative Championships off then walks down to the ring as if he owns the place before he enters the ring. He tosses his shirt out, shows off his half of the Co-Operative Championships and then hands it off to Referee Alice Nasmith. Nasmith hands it out of the ring, then steps in and calls for the bell.
Right out of the gate Vinegar pointso out how the two men are the same height and almost a perfect match in weight. The two men spend a couple of moments looking the other up and down as the Vinegar and Lieberjosch talk about how their contrast in styles are going to make it an interesting match. The two men finally lock up and shove each other back and forth before they disengage as neither gains an advantage. They circle each other and lock up again. This time Rydell ties to muscle MmWF over, only for him to flip out of the attempted throw and land on his feet. Rydell looks at it and shakes his head appreciatively.
The two circle each other briefly before they lock up again. This time Rydell twists WmWF into a DDT. He drops for it, but WmWF and somehow gets his hands down and handsprings his way through it. He turns and looks at Rydell, who smiles and nods his head again. The two men look at each other for a few seconds before WmWF darts at Rydell. He ducks under an attempted clothlesline, then a second before he springs off of the ropes and drives both feet into him with a dropkick. Rydell lands hard, but pops right back to his feet. WmWF keeps the pressure on and connects with a headscissors takedown that sends Rydell out of the ring.
Referee Nasmith checks on Rydell, who insists that he’s ok. He stands up and turns around, then promptly gets flattened by a top rope cross body. WmWF pops to his feet, grabs Rydell and rolls him back into the ring. He leaps from the floor onto the apron, then onto the top rope and comes flying off. He plans Rydell with a springboard DDT and hooks his leg, but only gets a two.
He darts towards the corner, spins and races back at Rydell. His momentum is abruptly killed as he’s nearly turned inside out with a vicious boot to the face that causes the first two rows to wince. Rydell pulls him up and connects with a snap suplex that he follows up with a spinning facebuster. He pulls WmWF up from the facebuster and lands a jawbreaker, which he follows up with a leaping DDT. He rolls WmWF over and into a cover, but only gets a two before the luchadore kicks out. He pulls his opponent up, wraps him into into a standing headlock, then runs up the turnbuckle, twists and plans him with an Acid Drop that gets him another two.
He stands up and barks at Alice Nasmith, who backs up a step and puts her hands up. Rydell bends over to pull WmWF up when he’s suddenly rolled up with an inside cradle for a surprise two. He leaps up and throws a looping punch at WmWF, who rolls under it and hits him in the forehead with a flipping kick. Rydell staggers back and is knocked back into the ropes by a flipping dropkick. He bounces off and is quickly taken down with “Upside Down”. WmWF kips up and lands a senton, followed by “Boy You Turn Me”. He leaps out of the ring and grabs the ropes and once Rydell staggers to his feet he drives him down onto his face with “Inside Out”.
He leaps up onto the turnbuckle and waits for Rydell to stir. He connects with “Round and Round”, but Rydell gets his foot on the bottom rope. McWrestleface pulls Dave to center ring, connects with a second “Boy, You Turn Me”, followed by a second “Inside Out” and gets the three count.
Winner: Wrestley McWrestleface

Backstage, Kenzi is pacing.
Both entertainment professionals make their way down to the ring, each one receiving a raucous reaction from the Chicago faithful. Both individuals appear to be all business here tonight, only Angie does so with a smile. The two nod at one another as Hazel East calls for the bell, and this Round Robin match is officially underway.
Both Zane and Angie tentative here in the early going, as they both know how important this match is. Vaughn would love nothing more than to put another notch in the win column, and Zane Scott definitely doesn’t want to find himself two matches down this early in the tournament. Collar-and-elbow tie-up, with Zane applying a side headlock. Vaughn slides out of the hold, applying a hammerlock. Zane reverses the hold, wrenching up on Angie’s arm, before shoving her towards the ropes.. Deep arm drag by Zane sends Vaughn across the ring, both both pop right back to their feet.
Another lockup, with Angie applying an arm ringer to the left arm of Zane Scott. She drives the point of her elbow into his tricep, but Zane quickly reverses and applies one of his own. Angie with a cartwheel to take the pressure off, before springboarding off of the middle rope, and flinging Zane across the ring by his arm. Zane back to his feet, but Angie connects with a standing dropkick that sends him back into the ropes. Zane shakes his head, but immediately begins moving forward towards Vaughn, but Angie connects with a drop toe hold, following it up with a leg drop across the back of Zane’s neck. Angie back to her feet now, waiting on Zane to push himself up off the mat. Bicycle kick finds its mark, and Angie quickly steps through the ropes and out to the ring apron. Slingshot senton, and Angie rolls Zane over onto his back, but only gets a one-count.
Angie drops a knee across the forehead of Zane, and then makes her way back to her feet. Quickly out to the ring apron, she climbs to the top turnbuckle, as Zane begins making his way back to his feet. Double-axehandle attack across the top of Zane’s headd, and it drops the big man down to a knee. Angie wastes no time in snapping off multiple kicks to the side and hip of Zane Scott, before grabbing him by the head and planting him with a DDT. She rolls him over and makes the cover, but Zane is able to get a shoulder up at two-and-a-half.
Zane over onto his chest, attempting to push himself up to his hands and knees, but Vaughn moves in behind of him and applies a rear naked choke. Zane grabbing the arm of Angie, doing his best to keep her from fully cinching the hold in, as he struggles to get to his feet. Zane isn’t on a vertical base for long, as he throws himself backwards, crushing Vaughn in between of his body and the mat. Zane rubbing at his neck as he works on getting air back into his lungs, as Vaughn clutches at her chest in pain. Zane up to his feet now, leaning against the ropes, as he watches the number one contender to the World Title make her way back to her feet. A running big boot turns Angie inside out, and Zane covers without hooking the leg, and only gets a two-count.
Zane to his feet now and pulling Angie to hers. Irish whip across the ring, and Zane executes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Zane pulls Angie off of his knee, interlocking his fingers around the back of her head. Multiple Muy thai knee strikes follow, and then Zane lifts her high into the air, running across the ring and tossing her through the air with a corner powerbomb. Angie stumbles out of the corner, where Zane is there to meet her by lifting her high into the air again in a powerbomb position. He falls to the mat ass-first though, connecting with a neckbreaker, before making the cover, this time hooking the leg. Angie somehow manages to slip a shoulder up just before the three count is registered though, and this match continues.
Zane pulling her off the mat, wrapping his hand around her throat and lifting her high into the air, possibly attempting Piercing Misery. Angie is able to wriggle free from his grip though, landing behind of Zane. When he turns back towards her, she grabs his arm...lifts her foot into the air and places it against his cheek, and connects with the move Fall of Eden move that was made famous by Eden Morgan. Both competitors are now down on the mat, as the crowd goes wild.
Zane is the first to his feet, shaking out the cobwebs as he slowly bends down in order to grab Angie and pull her to her feet. Out of nowhere, she catches Zane by surprise and locks in a triangle choke. Zane looking for a way out, but begins to fade. Hazel in the perfect position to check on him, and just when it looks like he might be on the verge of unconsciousness, he lifts her off of the mat, high into the air. Angie is able to release the triangle choke, and applies EW!, trying to wrap her legs around the waist of Zane. ‘The Personification of Pain’ is able to block her right leg, not allowing her to lock around his waist. He tosses her overhead, attempting a back-body drop, but Angie is able to land on her feet. Zane quickly turns though, grabbing her by the arm, and connecting with The Purge. It takes a moment for Zane to make the cover, and it was just enough to allow Angie to kick out at two-and-a-half.
Both slowly back to a vertical base, with Angie connect with a kick to the abdomen of Zane Scott. She bolts towards the opposite ropes, returns, and connects with a bulldog. Zane pushing himself back up to his hands and knees, and Vaughn attempts #Vaughnemous, but Zane moves out of the way. Angie jumps up onto the middle rope, hops up onto the top rope, and leaps off. Rotating in the air for what looks to be a crossbody, she didn’t see Murderous Intent coming. Both entertainment professionals down on the mat, with Zane Scott slowly crawling over and draping an arm over the chest of Angelica Vaughn. Vaughn gets the shoulder up, but it was a fraction of a second too late, and Hazel East calls for the bell.
Winner: Zane Scott

It’s already been an exciting night as Wrestley McWrestleface picked up his first win after a hard-fought match with current Co-Operative Champion Dave Rydell and the Number One Contender to the World Championship, Angelica Vaughn, had her eleven match winning streak snapped by a focused Zane Scott. How will Angelica react to this setback as she marches towards facing World Champion “Vain” Alan Wallace? We’ll have to wait and see.
Speaking of the World Champion, he has a challenging and potentially dangerous night ahead of him as he teams with Kenzi Gray, who is hardly an Alan Wallace fangirl. He’ll have to have eyes in the back of his head while not losing sight of what’s staring him in face as he and Kenzi square off against “The Iceman” Konrad Raab and a ghost of sorts from Alan Wallace’s past, Holden Orson. Nick Vinegar reminds everyone of the heated rivalry that the World Champion had with Holden when he was under his other identity, “The Mainstreamer” Martin Graber. Lieberjosch points out that the rivalry hasn’t carried over to Graber’s more mercurial nom de guerre since he became Holden Orson. Jay say something banal in response, Lieberjosch tells him to shut up and before they can begin even more pointless name calling, they’re mercifully drowned out by Konrad’s music as it blares through the arena.
Konrad walks out onto the stage and gets a reaction that even takes him by surprise. UGWC fans appreciate a person with strong character who puts in a good effort, even when that person has found positive results to be elusive. He walks down the ramp and slaps hands with some of the fans on the way by, then enters the ring and waits for his partner. He doesn’t have long to wait as Holden enters as only Holden can. He makes his way down to the ring, ignoring the fans the entire way down. He gets in the ring, looks from Referee Sam Green to his partner and scoffs...because Holden. Sam rolls his eyes, while Konrad doesn’t quite seem to know how to take him.
Scoff.
Kenzi enters third and receives a thunderous ovation in return. She seems to be momentarily overwhelmed by her greeting before she quickly recovers and makes her way down to the ring. The ovation never lessons as she does so and a few “fu-ture Champ” chants break out. She gets to the ring, nods at Konrad, who returns the gesture and then looks to do the same for Holden, but he turns his back on her with a loud sound of disapproval. She shrugs it off and goes to her corner as she awaits her “partner”. She doesn’t have long to wait.
The World Champion makes his entrance as he walks out onto the stage. He soaks in the angry boos as if the roof of the arena is being blown off of by cheers and he’s the reason why. One can never doubt the man’s confidence. He strides down the ramp as if he world revolves around him, because in his mind it does. He reaches the ring, takes his time ascending to the apron and gestures for Green to gets the ropes for him. Green ignores him and “Vain” enters the ring as if someone had held it for him. Sam Green relieves him of the World Championship and hands it out to Claude de Rhombus, then steps back in, points to eac corner and calls for the bell.
Konrad enters for his team, not that Holden looks like he gives a damn. “Vain” makes the decision for Kenzi as he drops off of the apron to the floor. She glares down at him but steps through the ropes and she and “The Iceman” begin to circle each other. They lock up and Raab uses his size and power advantage to spin Kenzi around and drive her into the canvas with a German suplex. He transitions his grip and lands a head and arm suplex, then pulls her up and drives her back down with a back suplex. He rolls over for the cover but only gets a “one” before Kenzi kicks out.
Konrad pops to his feet, pulls Kenzi up and whips her into the ropes. She bounces back, slides between his legs, leaps up and connects with a leaping DDT. She follows the move with a springboard moonsault that comes down across his back, then drives both feet into his head with a shotgun dropkick that rings through the arena. The move topples Konrad over onto his back and Kenzi springs back into the corner.
And suddenly crashes to the mat after Holden yanks her down by her hair.
Referee Sam Green admonishes him but he just dismisses the warning. Kenzi lays on the mat writhing in pain as Konrad inches his way to his corner. On the other end of the ring “Vain” stands in his corner with a bored look on his face. He makes no attempt to lean into the ring for a tag. He looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. Kenzi rolls herself over and begins to pull herself across the canvas as Konrad does the same towards his. The fans cheer both wrestlers on as they struggle to their corners.
Konrad reaches his first and tags in Holden, who almost leaps off of the apron from the contact. He steps through the ropes and shoo’s Konrad out. On the other side, Kenzi gets to her corner and leaps up to tag in Vain...who once again drops off of the apron. Kenzi yells at him in irritation, but doesn’t get a chance to do anything about it as Holden grabs her by her foot, drags her to center ring and drives a vicious kick into her ribs, then proceeds to alternate between kicks and forearm and elbow strikes that leave Kenzi writhing on the mat. He pulls Kenzi up and slams a vicious forearm to the back of her head that sends her crashing to the mat. He drops to the mat, grabs Kenzi’s arm and locks in “White”.
Kenzi snaps to awareness and begins to scream in agony. Sam Green asks her if she wants to submit, but she screams “NO”. Holden wrenches back on the hold and Kenzi’s agonized wails. She raises her hand and it wavers for a moment as if it’s going to drop and she’s going to tap when Vain suddenly comes flying into view and drives a hellacious kick into Holden’s face. The kick sends Holden corkscrewing back into his own corner where Konrad leans over and tags himself in as Vain drags Kenzi across the mat and tags himself in.
He slowly enters and advances on Raab, mockingly laughing the entire time. He looks at Raab and dismissively waves him away. He eats a right from Raab for his effort that makes him stagger back. Raab drills him with a spear, then a standing elbow drop. He leaps up onto the turnbuckle and bounces off of the second rope, but never gets to finish the move as Vain kicks his right leg out from under him and leaves him hung up in the ropes by his feet. Vain pulls him up and slams him onto the mat on the back of his head with a nasty looking spinning neckbreaker. He pulls Konrad out and goes for a lazy pin, but Konrad kicks out at two. Vain pulls him up, spins him around and connects with a backbreaker, then yanks him back up and slams him down onto his back with a snap suplex. He kips up and grinds his boot across Konrad’s face, then drops a leg across his face that leaves Konrad writhing on the mat. Vain pulls Konrad up, whips him into the ropes and hits an atomic drop that he transitions into a belly-to-belly suplex. He drops down to cover Konrad again, but once again only gets a two.
He yanks Konrad up by his ears and promptly drops him with a “Curtain Call”. He stands up, bull rushes the opposite corner and drills Holden in the jaw, which sends him sprawling off of the apron to the floor. He smiles and looks down at Konrad, who is still out on the mat. He pulls him up, underhooks him and slams him down face first with “The Cherry Popper”, then stands up and tags Kenzi in with a rough looking slap to her chest.
She glares at him but steps into the ring anyway as he rolls out, walks over and sits down in Claude de Rhombus’ seat after shooing him out of it. Kenzi bends over to pull Konrad up and is taken completely by surprise as he springs out and locks her into an armbar. They drop to the mat and Kenzi begins to try and pull herself to the ropes. Konrad wrenches on her arm and tries to use his weight to ground her, but it doesn’t deter Kenzi from trying to reach the ropes. She gets near to them and reaches out with her foot but doesn’t quite reach them. She switches tactics and twists herself around, then drives her heel into Konrad’s forehead. The kick causes him to relax, but not release the hold. She drives another kick into his head but he keeps the armbar locked in.
Vain stands up from ringside and frowns, then slides into the ring. He yanks Konrad off of Kenzi, drills him in the stomach and connects with a quick leaping leg drop before Holden drives him from the ring with a vicious boot to the chest. He turns to hit Kenzi, but eats “The Breakeout Performance” for his efforts and topples through the middle rope to the floor. Kenzi turns and walks into a hand to the throat. Konrad pulls her up for “The Icenator”, but she kicks away and counters with the “One Hit Wonder”. Konrad staggers back and bounces off of the ropes, eats a second “One Hit Wonder” and then “The Blockbuster” and three seconds later she racks up another “W”.
Winners: Kenzi Gray-Lacklan and “Vain” Alan Wallace

Backstage, Konrad Raab is walking when he encounters the Creative Director.
Pierce starts off this match trying to put a stop to Le Bord’s opening momentum by shoulder blocking her legs when she leaps at him, sending her ass over tits and crashing into the mat. He follows up with a quick elbow drop, then pulls her up for a snap DDT and covers for a two count!
Bordy scoots away, taken off guard by this early dominance from the Icon. Pierce isn’t ready to take a breath, and he launches himself across the ring, going for a shin kick, but Bordy ducks it, popping up behind him to punch him right in the ass! Literally punched him in the ass!
Pierce goes down to a knee, wincing and clutching at his ass, and Bordy slides up to wrap her arms around his head. Pierce sits out, tries to pull Le Bord into a cradle, but the Chaos champ rolls through and reverses it and gets a two count!
Both competitors separate and head to opposite sides of the ring to get back to their feet. They pause only briefly before sprinting across the ring again. Bordy leaps up for a splash, but Pierce wraps her up in a bear hug. Pumping his legs he barrels her into the corner, but as he lets go, she hangs on! She screams in rage as she slams a headbutt that drives Pierce to his knees. The Fist of God doesn’t let go, but lets out another blood-curdling scream before headbutting him again!
The crowd begins to chant as Bordy headbutts him over and over again, eventually driving him down to the mat. She finally lets go, rolling him over onto his back, where she stands up and begins running in place on Pierce’s back! Pierce groans loudly as each stomp drives into his back, and Le Bord hasn’t stopped screaming as she increases the pace of her run. Out of nowhere, though, Pierce plants his hands and suddenly pushes up to his hands and knees, flipping the Champ off of him, and she lands awkwardly on the heel of his feet.
Bordy rolls away, clutching at her midsection where she hit, as Travis climbs unsteadily to his feet. He sees Le Bord writhing in pain and makes a decision, heading for the turnbuckle and climbing up. He measures the leap, then launches for a Piercing Blow!
Le Bord rolls away at the last second, and Pierce catches nothing but mat! He bounces and rolls into a sitting position clutching at his elbow, but he knows he can’t give Le Bord a chance to recover, and slowly pushes up to his feet again. He runs across the ring and yanks her back to her feet, whipping her helplessly to the ropes, hitting a shoulder slam as she returns and flattening her.
Pierce doesn’t let up there, dragging her up by her hair this time, and using it to execute a snapmare. Once more to her feet, and he sets up for The Breakdown, but he’s having trouble getting the full nelson fully locked in with his banged up elbow.
Le Bord senses the hesitation and grabs his weak arm, yanking him around to her front and locking in Le Doux Sommeil de Dieu! Pierce fights to power out, but Le Bord is in control and begins whipping him left and right to maintain control with the hold. Without letting go, she aims a kick into the back of his knee, which brings him down, and she drags him to the mat with the hold, where, after several minutes of struggling, Pierce is forced to tap!
Winner: Le Bord de Dieu

Backstage, Ichabod pays a visit to Donovan Hastings.
Vinegar: It is time for the first title defence of 2019, and this match has the potential to be a real classic. Lockheart is looking to establish her second reign as Cross-Hemisphere Champion by defeating the challenger Deimos tonight.
Lieberjosch: The Man They Call Fear did what Konrad Raab is too stupid and too proud to do and cashed in his purse for this shot tonight. It is worth remembering that Deimos is a three time Cross-Hemisphere Champion himself, and he is known to hold that prize in higher regard than any other, it's history and prestige appeal to his own sensibilities.
Covert Jay: That was back then when Fear had a sense of honor and duty, even if it was sometimes twisted. Last week he showed us he no longer follows that code. He may well have turned on partners in the past, bit never for no other reason than ‘he could’, there has been pathos and it has been to achieve something further. Last week he did it to make a statement, and that statement was forget everything you thought you knew about me.
Vinegar: Did anyone ever claim to really know anything about Deimos? He has always been an enigma.
Covert Jay: He had a code, he valued his honor, now...I don't know if he values anything at all.
Dennis: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the UGWC Cross-Hemisphere Championship!
“Phucking Phreak”
Dennis: Introducing first, the challenger….PHRRRRRIIIIIIIXXXXUUUUSSSSSS DDDDDEEEEEEEIIIIIIMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSS.
Covert Jay: Even the crowd know there's something different about Deimos, they have fallen silent in his approach to the ring.
Vinegar: The atmosphere in here has become rather eerie, I can tell you that for nothing, but I don't think Deimos is even aware. He has not acknowledged the crowd or any of the officials hen has just made his way to the ring, and turns awaiting the champion.
“Look What You Made Me Do”
Dennis: Introducing the UGWC Cross-Hemisphere Champion…...MMMMMAAAAGGGGDDDDDEEELLLLEEENNNNAAAA LLLLLLOOOOOOCCCKKKKKHHHEEEEEAAAAAAAAAARRRTTTT!!!!!
Vinegar: Lockheart is also entered into the Global Challenge at Infinity and she is considered one of the leading contenders to emerge victorious. A successful defence tonight would be a great momentum boost before the tournament.
Covert Jay: Don't forget Deimos, a previous winner of the Global Challenge is also an entrant, and I am sure he would love nothing better than to walk into it as Cross-Hemisphere Champion. Actually I am not sure Fear have ever been capable of loving anything, especially now.
Vinegar: Lockheart gets to the bottom of the ramp and strikes her pose as pyro explodes around her…
Covert Jay: Suicide Dive!!
Lieberjosch: Before the smoke has cleared from the champions pyrotechnic display Fear has launched himself out of the ring and wiped Maggie out!
Covert Jay: This is very unlike Fear, the match hasn't even started yet and he has ambushed the Champion.
Vinegar: Jay is correct this match cannot start until the Champion has entered the ring and Deimos looks like he is unwilling to let that happen any time soon as he hurls her into the steel steps.
Lieberjosch: This is the sort of attack Fear would have poured scorn on in the past, the sort of actions he would lecture the perpetrator on, the sort if thing that would have disgusted him…I LOVE IT!
Vinegar: Lockhart is crawling towards the ring while Deimos wrestles with the upper layer if the stairs and raises them above his head…GOOD LORD NO!
Deimos brings the steps down directly on the back of Maggie’s neck and she instantaneously crumpled to the floor. The commentary team are shocked into silence momentarily at the display of brutality from Fear. And he scoops Maggie up and rolls her into the ring.
Covert Jay: Thankfully Maggie seems able to get to her feet but she's not steady on them, and she is clutching her neck and grimacing in pain, unable to even reach down and remove the Championship Belt.
Vinegar: However she is on her feet, and despite the disgusting attack by Deimos the bell rings to start this match.
DING!
Vinegar: Oh no! This doesn't look good, Lockheart has fallen to one knee when she attempts to step towards Deimos, still clutching at her neck.
Covert Jay: Brian Chartreuse bends down and starts to check on her, but Fear shoves him out of the way and steps behind the Champion…
Lieberjosch: MILLENIAL DECAY!!!![/i]
Vinegar: Lockheart taps almost immediately, the damage had already been done.
DING!
Covert Jay: Chartreuse telling fear to break the hold but he refuses.
Vinegar: This could be doing irreparable damage to Lockhearts neck, this is entirely unnecessary.
Lieberjosch: Bet no-one overlooks Fear now.
DING!
Covert Jay: Fear finally lets go and Maggie slumps to the ground having passed out in his clutches….
Dennis: Here is your winner and new UGWC Cross-Hemisphere Champion...Phrixus Deimos.
Vinegar: Deimos bends down and pushes the paramedics away so that he can instead the Championship Belt from around the unconscious Lockhearts waist...And then raises it high above his head in front of this stunned crowd.
Covert Jay: I hope Maggie is ok.
Vinegar: I am sure the only person who isn't concerned about her is that man standing right in the middle of the ring, Phrixus Deimos...what has he become?
Winner: Phrixus Deimos

He turns and looks at Rydell, who smiles and nods his head again. The two men look at each other for a few seconds before WmWF darts at Rydell.

Angelica Vaughn vs Zane Scott

Holden Orson and Konrad Raab vs Alan Wallace and Kenzi Grey

Le Bord de Dieu vs Travis Pierce

Cross-Hemisphere Championship
Maggie Lockheart vs Phrixus Deimos
Maggie Lockheart vs Phrixus Deimos
