The pyros explode in the arena as Headstrong plays.
Mister Mav: Welcome, one and all, to our summer Pay-Per-View spectacular, welcome to Meltdown!
Arelas: Eight huge matches are on the card tonight, Mav. Six titles will be unified, CoolJ and Lock square off once more in a No Holds Barred Match, and Phoenix and Triple M will finally set foot in a ring together for an I Quit Match!
Bounce hits to a mixed reaction, and Black Rose walks out from the smoke.
Mister Mav: Arelas, a lot of people think that someone like Black Rose doesn’t have much of a shot against a big man like Ghostdad in a match like this, particularly under Havok Rules, but those people don’t really know Black Rose.
Arelas: Oh, agreed Mav. Black Rose is a tough lady, and it has got to tell you something that she is a member of the Metal Militia.
Halloween hits, and Ghostdad walks down the ramp, carrying the LWF Havok Title, but as he nears ringside Black Rose leaps onto the turnbuckle and over the ropes, smashing into Ghostdad right in the face with the UWF Hardcore Title!
Mister Mav: Black Rose just hit a leaping shot to the face on Ghostdad with her title, off the turnbuckle and over the ropes! What an explosive way to start this match, an explosive way to start this pay-per-view!
Ghostdad gets back to his feet, dazed, and he sidesteps another swing of the title, shoving Rose away from behind. Ghostdad shakes his head and tries to get his bearings, and Black Rose slides beneath him and delivers a low blow! Ghostdad goes down clutching himself, and Black Rose goes around the ring and grabs a chair. She goes back as Ghostdad is still on his back, and Black Rose swings the chair down, but Ghostdad rolls out of the way, then kicks Black Rose in the chest, knocking her down. He gets up and she scrambles for the chair, but Ghostdad lifts her into a bear hug! He runs towards the closest ring post and slams her right into it, back first! Black Rose screams and crumples at ringside, and Ghostdad pulls her up and shoves her into the ring.
Arelas: Ghostdad got a slow start here, but I think he has realized he needs to hurry up and finish this match before Black Rose finishes him, plus you never know when the rest of the Militia may decide they want a ringside view, if you know what I mean.
Mister Mav: No, what do you mean?
Arelas: Okay, you know what? When this match is over, you’re going to go to the back and get me a soda, and while you’re gone I’ll just call the matches myself.
Ghostdad climbs in with the steel chair, but Black Rose has gotten back up, and as Ghostdad goes after her she dropkicks the chair right into his face! Ghostdad falls into the ropes, and they push him back into a kick to the chest from Black Rose, and a DDT! Black Rose covers, one, two, Ghostdad kicks out!
Arelas: A near fall for Black Rose, looking to become the unified Havok Champion!
Black Rose bounces off the ropes as Ghostdad is getting up, but Ghostdad floors her with a big boot. He pulls Rose up and into the Ghostdad Dominator, right onto the steel chair! Ghostdad covers Black Rose, one, two, three!
Winner and new Unified Havok Champion: Ghostdad
Arelas: All right, here’s a dollar, go get me a soda from the machine.
Mister Mav: You’re serious?
Arelas: You’re damn right I’m serious, now go get me a Pepsi!
Mister Mav gets up from the table and walks backstage as Black Rose is helped to the back.
Arelas: I’ll tell you, it is tough to find good working conditions nowadays.
The red eyes appear on the titantron, and Rip Out Your Eyes hits to a mighty pop from the crowd. Xecutioner, the LWF People’s Champion, walks down the ramp and climbs into the ring.
CAN YOU EAT IT, SUCKAAAAAAAA!
Chef’s music hits, and the UWF Imperial Champion makes his way to the ring, climbing in as Xecutioner has rolled out of the ramp and is leaning underneath the ring.
Arelas: You know, this music is sort of stupid.
Chef loosens up in the ring, and Xecutioner rolls in, and he has his mace! Xecutioner has his mace, and he walks towards Chef, but the referee cuts him off and tells him to get rid of the weapon. Xecutioner stares at him, then grabs the referee by the throat and delivers a one armed chokeslam! Chef charges at Xecutioner, but Xecutioner nearly beheads him with the mace! Xecutioner picks up the referee and throws him out of the ring, then raises the mace overhead and slams it into the back of Chef. Xecutioner stands over him, then walks to the ropes and steps out of the ring, heading up the ramp, meanwhile Arelas climbs up and stands on the announce table, a house mic in his hand.
Arelas: Nicely done, Xecutioner. You just went and squandered a perfectly good unification match, probably because you didn’t get your way when you came back on Lockdown last Thursday. Because you had to go and beat up the referee and hit Chef with a mace, we can’t have a winner tonight, which means we can’t declare a new unified champion tonight. Well, it won’t be Chef, and it won’t be you either. You might not have heard, but as of tomorrow I’m the new LWF Commissioner. Xecutioner, you’re the LWF People’s Champion, but the last time you defended that title was in May, and meanwhile Chef hasn’t done much of anything since UWF came in. So as of tomorrow, that title will be vacanted, and I’ll figure out what I want to do about it later. As for you, go on and walk backstage, and just keep on walking!
Xecutioner scowls, but he turns and walks backstage, as Arelas goes back to his seat and puts his headset back on.
Arelas: Haven’t even started the job yet, and I gotta deal with this garbage.
Winner: No Contest
Paradise City hits to heat from the crowd, and C.J. Diamond walks down the ramp to the ring. The Outlaw Torn hits to a mixed reaction and Nomad makes his way through the crowd to the ringside area.
Arelas: Nomad and C.J. Diamond are about to go at it in a match to unify the LWF Technical Title and the UWF Metal Title, but in an even bigger piece of news, Mister Mav is still not back with my Pepsi.
Nomad approaches the ring, but Diamond runs and baseball slides through the ropes, knocking him into the barricade. Diamond delivers several chops to Nomad, then whips him into the steel steps, the impact echoing through the arena. Diamond goes under the ring and pulls out a steel ladder!
Arelas: And here we go! The match needs to be won via submission, but it is looking as C.J. Diamond wants to fight this match on his terms, Metal Champion, metal weapons!
Nomad gets to his feet, but C.J. Diamond uses the ladder like a battering ram, slamming it end first into the chest of Nomad. Diamond raises the ladder overhead to bring the end slamming down on Nomad, but Nomad rolls out of the way, then sweeps Diamond’s legs out from under him. Nomad grabs Diamond and slams his head off the steel post of the turnbuckle, then grabs Nomad and rolls him into the ring. Nomad slides the ladder into the ring, then climbs onto the apron and steps through the ropes into the ring. He picks up the ladder and walks to the corner, propping himself up on the top turnbuckle and holding the ladder. He pushes off, riding the ladder towards Diamond, but Diamond is on his knees and catches the ladder, then shoves it back, slamming Nomad into the turnbuckle! Diamond yanks away the ladder, then swings it towards Nomad, but Nomad sidesteps it, then grabs Diamond and hurls him over the ropes to ringside! Nomad takes the ladder to the center of the ring, then sets it up and starts to climb it.
Arelas: Now this is a confused individual. This isn’t a ladder match, climbing the ladder achieves nothing, he’s going to stand up there like a jackass until C.J. Diamond gets around to coming in and knocking it over.
Nomad reaches the top and stares down at Diamond as he gets up at ringside, and Nomad motions for him to come to the top of the ladder. Diamond fumes, then slides into the ring and frantically climbs the rungs.
Arelas: Okay, this is idiocy.
Nomad greets Diamond at the top of the ladder with a right hand, and they exchange blows. Nomad clubs Diamond on the top of the head, then starts to set up a suplex, but Diamond hits a low blow. Nomad lets go of Diamond, in pain, and Diamond grabs him and pulls him off the ladder into Diamond Rain!
Arelas: Diamond Rain off the ladder! C.J. Diamond hits Diamond Rain on Nomad off the ladder, because for some reason they were up there on top of it, and both men are down now in the center of the ring, and will somebody please take that ladder out of there before they do something else stupid with it!
C.J. Diamond slowly staggers to his feet, and he walks over to Nomad to pull him up, but Nomad quickly wraps him into body scissors and pulls him to the mat, then puts him into the Leash! Leash to Diamond, and C.J. Diamond taps out!
Winner and new Unified Technical Champion: Nomad
A highlight package is shown of the feud between CoolJ and Lock. The pair win the LWF Tag Titles at Revolution, but CoolJ is attacked by C.J. Diamond and Vic Malato. Lock is revealed to have been behind the attack. CoolJ defends the title in a handicap match. CoolJ is eventually defeated, losing the championship. CoolJ hits a Shader on Lock, preventing him from having a chance at winning the UWF Title.
My World hits to strong heat, and Lock walks out from backstage, his trenchcoat billowing slightly. He makes his way down the ramp to the ring.
Arelas: We’ll get to the jackass making his way to the ring in a moment, but first I would like to take note of the fact that Mister Mav is finally back with my soda. What the hell took you so long?
Mister Mav: The machine didn’t take dollars, so I had to find some change, and then there was a line.
Arelas: Ok, enough.
The Fight Song hits to a strong pop, and CoolJ struts his way to the ring as Lock drops over the ropes and takes off his coat. CoolJ climbs into the ring and raises his arms to a pop from the crowd.
Arelas: Way back in 2001, CoolJ and Lock faced each other in a match at Vengeance. CoolJ pinned Lock in the match, and Lock took his frustrations out of the referee, giving him the Lockdown for supposedly counting too fast. It’s just another example of his corruptness, but fortunately that’s something I don’t have to harp about any longer.
Lock climbs into the ring, and the bell rings to officially start the matchup. CoolJ and Lock grapple in the center of the ring, and CoolJ puts Lock into a hammerlock, but Lock cuts behind him and gets him into the Lockmission! Lock is looking for a quick finish to this match, and CoolJ is writing in pain! CoolJ flails his arms, and manages to grab hold of the ropes. Lock pulls CoolJ away from the ropes and whips him across the ring, then goes for a superkick, but CoolJ dives and rolls under it, then pops up and bounces off the far ropes. CoolJ goes for a clothesline, but Lock ducks and counters with a neckbreaker, then floats into the cover, but CoolJ kicks out at one and a half. Lock pulls CoolJ up and sets up a full nelson, but CoolJ breaks the hold and cuts behind Lock, hitting a suplex. CoolJ hits a leg drop and covers, but Lock kicks out at one. CoolJ pulls Lock up and goes to whip him across the ring, but Lock reverses and pulls CoolJ into a waistlock, but CoolJ breaks free and cuts behind Lock, chopping his knee out from under him. CoolJ gets Lock into the Jmission! CoolJ tears away at Lock, but the LWF Owner manages to grab the ropes. CoolJ releases the hold and steps back, motioning for Lock to get up. Lock uses the ropes to pull himself up, then turns around and CoolJ goes for the Shader, but Lock shoves him away. CoolJ bounces off the ropes and runs into a kick to the chest from Lock. Lock sets up Lockdown, but CoolJ backdrops out, and Lock turns it into a sunset flip, one, two, CoolJ kicks out. Both men get up, and CoolJ bounces off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Lock sidesteps it and hits a Full Nelson Slam. Lock covers, one, two, CoolJ kicks out. Lock rolls out of the ring and picks up a steel chair, then slides back into the ring. CoolJ is slowly getting up, and Lock winds up with the chair and cracks him right into the face with it. Lock tosses the chair out of the ring, then covers, one, two, CoolJ gets the shoulder up!
Mister Mav: A narrow escape by CoolJ, and I’ll bet you think Lock is abusing his power somehow by using that chair, don’t you?
Arelas: Wrong again, as usual. It’s a No Holds Barred Match, stuff like that is supposed to happen. Now, granted I’d rather it be CoolJ hitting Lock with the chair, but we can’t be picky.
Lock rolls to the outside and shoves down a cameraman. Lock picks up the dropped camera and rips out the cord, then rolls back into the ring with the cord. CoolJ is starting to get up, but Lock wraps the cord around his neck and chokes him. Lock pulls CoolJ to the ropes and hurls him overtop, but holds onto the cord, hanging CoolJ over the ropes. CoolJ tries desperately to breath, but the cord is cutting off his air supply. CoolJ manages to get his feet onto the apron, and Lock doesn’t notice. CoolJ reaches back and grabs Lock’s head, then steps off the apron, pulling Lock’s neck into the ropes. Lock is catapulted back into the ring as CoolJ falls to the outside, where he pulls the cord off and gasps for air. Lock rolls out of the ring and snatches the ring bell from the announcer, then rolls back into the ring as CoolJ rolls in also.
Arelas: He takes the camera from a cameraman, ring bell from the announcer, if he comes over here and takes my mic you’re going to have to smack him.
Mister Mav: Me?
Arelas: Well I can’t touch him.
Lock charges and swings the bell at CoolJ, but CoolJ hits a drop toe hold, then locks Lock in the Jmission! Jmission! The crowd pops bigtime as Lock is in major pain, but Lock still has the ring bell, and he smashes it into CoolJ’s head, knocking him off and forcing him to release the hold. Lock drops the bell as he tries to recover, and the referee takes it away. CoolJ uses the ropes to pull himself up, and Lock charges, and CoolJ drops back to the mat and pulls down the top rope, sending Lock spilling to the outside. CoolJ gets up and staggers across the ring as Lock retrieves the steel chair that he used earlier. Lock slides into the ring with the chair and charges at CoolJ, who superkicks the chair back into Lock’s face. Lock staggers off the ropes, and CoolJ grabs him and hits the Shader, right onto the dropped chair! CoolJ covers, one, two, three!
Winner: CoolJ via Pinfall
Arelas: Ha ha, you got to love that.
A highlight package shows the formation of the Metal Militia and the restructuring of the Degenerate World Order.
Lunchbox hits to strong heat, and John Hard and Dirtay Hollywood, the UWF Tag Team Champion Degenerate World Order, walk down the ramp to the ring. Metal Militia hits to more heat from the fans, and Flame Demon and Dark Angel, the LWF Tag Team Champions, head to ringside and climb into the ring.
Arelas: This is funny. The fans hate everybody.
The two teams open the match with a brawl, and Flame Demon knocks Hollywood down and lays the boots to him as Dark Angel brawls John Hard into the ropes and clotheslines him over. Flame Demon pulls Hollywood up and whips him off the ropes, and the LWF Tag Champs knock him down with a double shoulder tackle. Flame Demon leaves the ring as Dark Angel pulls Hollywood up into a neckbreaker. Dark Angel talks some trash to John Hard as he climbs onto the apron, then pulls Hollywood up and whips him off the ropes, but Hollywood comes back with a spear. Hollywood bounces slowly off the ropes and leaps into the air, driving his knee into Dark Angel’s chest. Hollywood covers, but Dark Angel kicks out at one and a half. Hollywood goes to pull Dark Angel up, but Dark Angel punches him in the chest, then wraps Hollywood up in a waistlock and hits a German Suplex. Dark Angel makes the tag to Flame Demon, then holds Hollywood up as Flame Demon comes into the ring and jabs him in the chest. Dark Angel steps out as Flame Demon staggers Hollywood with another punch, then hits a scoop slam. Flame Demon covers, one, two, Hollywood kicks out. Flame Demon pulls Hollywood up and whips him off the ropes, and Hollywood goes for a spear, but Flame Demon steps out of the way. Hollywood rolls to his feet and off the ropes again, but runs into a big boot from Flame Demon. The big man pulls Hollywood to the Metal Militia’s corner.
Mister Mav: The Metal Militia are doing a good job of keeping Hollywood isolated from his partner, John Hard, in this match.
Flame Demon slams Hollywood’s head off the turnbuckle, then makes the tag to Dark Angel. Flame Demon lifts Hollywood onto his shoulders as Dark Angel climbs to the top rope, and Dark Angel leaps into the air and takes Hollywood off of Flame Demon’s shoulder to the mat with a facebuster. Dark Angel covers, one, two, John Hard breaks up the cover!
Arelas: Good teamwork by the DWO, as John Hard makes the save for his team.
John Hard heads back to his corner as Dark Angel stares at him. Dark Angel clubs Hollywood in the back of the neck to knock him back down, then charges and punches John Hard, knocking him off of the apron. Dark Angel shouts at John Hard, then turns back around, and Hollywood dives and knocks him down with a clothesline. Hollywood bounces off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker, then floats into the cover, one, two, Dark Angel kicks out. Hollywood pulls Dark Angel into the Dirtay Bomb, then pins, one, two, Dark Angel kicks out again. Hollywood goes again to pull Dark Angel up, but Dark Angel low blows him, and both men are down. The referee starts the ten count, and at six both men start crawling towards their respective corners.
Arelas: The team that makes the tag first is going to have the advantage here.
Hollywood tags John Hard, and Dark Angel makes the tag to Flame Demon a moment later. Both men charge into the ring, and John Hard clotheslines Flame Demon down. Flame Demon pops back up into another clothesline, then pops up again, and John Hard whips him off the ropes. John Hard goes for a thrust kick, but Flame Demon dodges it and grabs John Hard for a reverse neckbreaker. Flame Demon goes for a headlock, but John Hard snapmares out of it. Dark Angel charges into the ring, but John Hard sidesteps him and Dark Angel slams into the turnbuckle. Hollywood charges into the ring, and this match has become a free for all. John Hard knocks Flame Demon to the outside, then climbs out himself and they battle at ringside. Hollywood and Dark Angel brawl in the ring, and Hollywood goes to whip Dark Angel into the ropes, but Dark Angel pulls him back for the Deep Freezer, and Hollywood elbows him away. Dark Angel staggers, and Hollywood kicks him in the chest and hits the Dirtay Bomb! A second Dirtay Bomb to Dark Angel, and Hollywood hits the Dirtay Drop! Dirtay Hollywood covers, and Flame Demon is occupied on the outside with John Hard, one, two, three!
Winners and new Unified Tag Team Champions: Degenerate World Order
A teaser is shown for next month’s Pay-Per-View spectacular, Vengeance. The theme for Vengeance is Weak and Powerless by A Perfect Circle.
Holidae In hits to a mighty pop, and Red Fusion, the UWF Global Champion, makes his way to the ring as the blue and yellow strobe lights flash.
Mister Mav: WOO WOO!
Arelas: What the hell was that?
Mister Mav: The pain train coming through!
Arelas: You know, I think I get dumber sitting through these broadcasts with you.
Faint hits to strong heat, and Fear walks out from backstage, the LWF Cross-Hemisphere Title secured around his waist.
Arelas: And here is Fear, ready to face Red Fusion in a Table Match to unify the Cross-Hemsiphere Title, and the UWF Global Title!
Fear pulls out a table and begins to set up it up on the side of the ring, at about the middle of the side of the ring, up against the railing. Red Fusion rolls out of the ring on that side and steps behind Fear to a huge pop as Fear finishes steadying the table. Fear turns and Red Fusion lifts him right up, and Red Fusion is looking for a quick finish to this match. Red Fusion is about to slam Fear through the table, but Fear floats out and hooks his arm around Red Fusion’s neck and puts him into a sleeper hold. Red Fusion fails his arms, then steps backwards and rams Fear into the side of the ring. Fear lets go of the hold, and Red Fusion turns and throws Fear towards the table. Fear slides over the table and the barricade into the crowd. Red Fusion hops the railing and goes after him. The crowd swarms them, and Fear shoves a fan away from him, then turns around and gets clotheslined by Red Fusion as security pushes the fans away to give the competitors room. Red Fusion pounds away on Fear’s back, then picks him up and drops him on the railing. Fear tumbles back to ringside near the steps. Red Fusion steps over the railing and stands over Fear, who drops him onto the steps with a toe hold. Fear staggers to his feet as Red Fusion rubs his forehead and rolls into the ring. Red Fusion climbs the turnbuckle as Fear is still trying to get his bearings. Red Fusion leaps through the air for a clothesline as Fear turns around, and Fear kicks him right in the chest. Red Fusion is bent over with the wind knocked out of him, and Fear hits a facebuster. Fear slides out of the ring and picks up a second table, and slides it into the rings. Fear rolls in himself as Red Fusion is getting up. Fear goes to whip Red Fusion into the ropes, but Red Fusion reverses it and kick Fear in the face on the rebound. Fear rolls over to his hand and knees, checking his mouth for blood. Red Fusion pulls him up from behind and hits a pump handle slam. Red Fusion walks over to the table and sets it up in the corner, steadying it as Fear staggers to his feet and creeps behind Red Fusion. He lifts him for the Numbing, but Red Fusion breaks out of it into an arm drag, sending Fear sprawling near the ropes.
Mister Mav: What a counter by Red Fusion, breaking free of the Numbing!
Red Fusion charges at Fear, who dumps him over the ropes with a back body drop. Red Fusion falls outside to where the table is set up, and he uses it to pull himself up. Fear bounces off the far ropes and leaps over the ropes to splash Red Fusion, who dives out of the way, and Fear crashes through the table!
Arelas: The crowd is going nuts, but this match can only end when somebody goes through a table after an offensive move. Red Fusion has to put Fear through the table, he can’t put himself through it!
Red Fusion staggers to his feet, and pulls Fear out of the shattered table and rolls him into the ring. Fear’s left arm twitches slightly, but he is otherwise motionless. Red Fusion rolls into the ring, and drags Fear to the corner with the table. Red Fusion sets up the table, then lifts Fear onto the turnbuckle. He climbs the turnbuckle and sets up for a superplex, but Fear shoves him off! Red Fusion falls onto the table, and Fear quickly stands and leaps for the Meteor Press, slamming into Red Fusion and right through the table!
Winner and new unified Cross-Hemisphere Champion: Fear
Mister Mav: And Fear, with that painful Meteor Press, continues onward as the Cross-Hemisphere Champion, to continue his reign of terror!
Arelas: Whoa, buddy, that might be gimmick infringement.
Fear staggers up from the shards of the table, and the referee hands him the pair of titles, and Fear stands and raises them both overhead to strong heat. He steps to the center of the ring and spins around, holding up both titles, then stops as he sees Red Fusion starting to get up. Fear drops the Cross-Hemisphere Title and whips Red Fusion with the belt he used to own, knocking him back down, and the crowd pops as Ruff Ryder runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. He lifts Fear right into a spinebuster! Ruff Ryder stares at Red Fusion as he staggers slowly to his feet, then at Fear as Fear tries to get back up, and Ruff Ryder whips Fear into the ropes, then lifts him on the rebound, and Red Fusion runs over the complete a 3-D! A 3-D on Fear, and Red Fusion and Ruff Ryder lay out the Cross-Hemisphere Champion to a mighty pop from the crowd!
A highlight package plays of the history between Phoenix and Metalhead Matt Marauder. The two are shown teaming together in the Following, with Triple M as Phoenix’s protégé. Phoenix ends the reign of the Replica at Resurrection, distracting Triple M and costing him an opportunity to win the LWF Title. Triple M forms the Metal Militia, but Phoenix crashes the party. Triple M inspires several other LWF superstars to attempt to break Phoenix. Headstrong begins playing, as Phoenix is shown running the gauntlet of stars. Phoenix pins Maggo, takes a chairshot, and delivers one right back. Nomad runs Phoenix into an exposed turnbuckle. Phoenix breaks the Leash and puts Nomad into Dust to Dust. Ruff Ryder holds Phoenix in a bearhug. The DWO hit the combination Dirtay Kick and Hardbomb on Phoenix. The Metal Militia saves Phoenix from taking a Hardbomb through a flaming table, and Triple M bails before Phoenix can get to him. A staredown across the ramp is shown as the package fades to black.
Legions of the Dead hits to massive heat, and Metalhead Matt Marauder slowly walks out to the stage, his head tilted down somewhat as he stands at the top of the ramp.
Mister Mav: There is he, the man who would be king, Metalhead Matt Marauder himself.
Arelas: This is quite possibly the most focused we’ve ever seen Triple M, Mav, and with good reason. He is stepping into the ring in anticipation of what may very well be the biggest match of his career, and his toughest challenge yet.
Triple M steps through the ropes into the ring, and he faces the stage. Rise hits to a tremendous pop, and Phoenix rises from the flames to the stage.
Mister Mav: And here is the man who provides that challege, Phoenix!
Arelas: Fifteen months ago at Resurrection, Xecutioner attacked Phoenix and crucified him. I remember it like yesterday, Mav, I was his partner in the match. Later that night, Xecutioner dropped Phoenix, still strapped to his symbol, from the rafters of the arena through the roof of the Hell in the Cell, and Phoenix has never really been the same ever since. He’s had to deal with a nagging back injury, and everything that he has gone through this month, match after match, has taken its toll, and this punishing I Quit Match has got to win or lose be a bad omen for his future.
Phoenix slowly walks down the ramp, staring coldly at the Marauder, and ascends the steps, stepping through the ropes into the ring. He walks towards Triple M and goes right after him with right hands, backing him into a corner, but Triple M catches him with a knee, then grabs him and tosses him through the ropes to the outside, turning away to get his bearings, but Phoenix catches the middle rope on the way out and gets right back into the ring.
Mister Mav: Triple M looks to be trying to distance himself from Phoenix, and he may not have expected for Phoenix to come at him so hard so quickly.
Triple M turns back around as Phoenix catches him with a hard spear, then beats on Triple M with right hands until Triple M shoves him away. Both men get quickly back to their feet, and Phoenix blocks a right hand from Triple M before knocking him back, and Phoenix whips Triple M off the ropes, but he comes back with a shoulder tackle, knocking Phoenix down. Metalhead Matt bounces off the ropes, but Phoenix is back up and leap frogs him. Triple M hits the far ropes, but as he comes back Phoenix grabs him and uses his momentum to hurl him over the ropes to ringside, and Triple M looks stunned as he slowly stirs.
Arelas: You know, Mav, I think Triple M may have underestimated Phoenix coming into this match, it looks like he expected Phoenix to be hurting after what he has gone through the past few weeks, although I’d have to admit I might have had a similar expectation.
Triple M stands and turns back to the ring, but Phoenix comes soaring over the ropes with a crossbody tackle, crashing into Triple M, and again Phoenix beats on Triple M with right hands. Triple M again shoves Phoenix off and retreats around the ring, and Phoenix follows him, but Triple M catches him with a knee to the chest. Triple M pulls Phoenix along and goes to smash his head into the turnbuckle post, but Phoenix blocks it with his leg, then grabs Triple M and cracks his head into the post. Triple M staggers away and rolls into the ring, and Phoenix rolls in after him, and Triple M rolls right on through the ring. Phoenix slides out of another side of the ring. Triple M is catching his breath, but Phoenix runs around the ring and catches him by surprise with a hard clothesline. Phoenix’s momentum takes him a few steps away, and he turns and slowly walks back, pulling Triple M up, but the Marauder again catches him with a knee to the chest, then lifts Phoenix and drops him onto the security wall.
Arelas: And this could quickly turn into a costly mistake by Phoenix. He’s managed to take Triple M by surprise early here, but he is going to have to be relentless if he wants to make the Marauder quit.
Triple M rolls back into the ring, and Phoenix slowly gets up at ringside. Triple M reaches over the ropes and grabs Phoenix by the hair, pulling him up, but Phoenix swings his legs up and stiffly boots Triple M away before lifting himself over the ropes and back into the ring. Phoenix knocks Triple M down with a clothesline, then nails him with a dropkick as Triple M tries to quickly get back to his feet. He staggers off the ropes and into a snap suplex from Phoenix.
Arelas: This is what I’m talking about, Mav. Phoenix is keeping the pressure on.
Phoenix goes to the corner and perches on the turnbuckle, and as Triple M is getting up Phoenix leaps off the top rope and twists in the air for a swinging neckbreaker.
Mister Mav: An incredible and innovative move by Phoenix!
Arelas: Flashiness doesn’t win this type of match, though. Keep the pressure on!
Phoenix gets to his feet and waves at Triple M to get up. Triple M staggers to his feet and Phoenix goes for a superkick, but Triple M ducks it. Phoenix spins around and Triple M lifts him as though going for a sidewalk slam, but turns it into a backbreaker!
Mister Mav: What an incredible backbreaker from the Marauder! What a vicious, powerful backbreaker that was, and Phoenix is in terrible pain!
Arelas: Another hesitation comes back to haunt Phoenix, and if Triple M starts to focus on that back of Phoenix, this match may not last much longer!
Triple M pulls Phoenix up and executes a second backbreaker, and Phoenix cries out and rolls in pain, holding his back. Triple M looks at the microphone laying on the announcer’s table, then turns back to Phoenix, calmly motioning for him to get it. Phoenix crawls to the ropes, but Triple M pulls him up by his hair and knocks him into the corner with a right hand. He pulls Phoenix along to the next corner and slams his head into the turnbuckle, then whips Phoenix to the opposite corner, and Phoenix crashes into it back first, slumping to his knees and then to the mat. Triple M pulls him up and again whips him into the turnbuckle back first, and Phoenix staggers out and falls to his knees in front of Triple M. Triple M stares down at him, then brutally kicks him in the face, knocking him onto his back. Triple M rolls Phoenix onto his chest, then drops an elbow right into his back.
Arelas: Now we’re seeing the intelligence of Triple M, Mav. He knows that back is the weak point, and he is unrelenting with his assault on it.
Triple M drops a second elbow, and then a third. He rolls out of the ring and walks to the microphone, then ignores it and pulls the timekeeper off his chair, picking up the steel weapon and sliding into the ring with it.
Mister Mav: Haven’t you done enough already? Take the mic and ask the man to quit!
Arelas: You really think he would?
Phoenix is on his hands and knees in the ring, and Triple M raises the chair overhead and smashes it right into his back! Triple M rolls out of the ring, and now he grabs the microphone off the table. He slides in, and drops the mic when he sees Phoenix stirring. Triple M pulls Phoenix up, and Phoenix tries to fight him off with right hands, but Triple M catches him again in the chest with a knee, and sets up for a vertical suplex, but Phoenix floats off it. Phoenix grabs Triple M for Rise No More, but Triple M shoves Phoenix away, and Phoenix comes off the ropes with right hands, backing Triple M up, then whips him off the ropes, but Triple M comes back with a spinning back crescent kick, knocking Phoenix down. Triple M moves the chair to the center of the ring, then pulls Phoenix to it, and he DDTs Phoenix right onto the chair! Phoenix is holding his head in pain, and Triple M picks up the microphone.
Triple M: It’s time to give up.
He thrusts the mic into Phoenix’s face.
Phoenix: No!
It is a short, crisp response. Triple M looks unfazed, and he tosses away the mic. Triple M pulls Phoenix to his feet and sends him back to the mat with a hard right hand, and Phoenix’s forehead is busted open from the DDT onto the chair. Phoenix rolls to a corner and uses the ropes to pull himself up slowly, and Triple M walks towards him, but Phoenix kicks him in the chest. Phoenix again kicks Triple M in the chest, using the corner for leverage, then comes out of the corner and beats Triple M across the ring into the opposite turnbuckle. Phoenix beats away on Triple M, then goes to whip him across the ring, but Triple M reverses it and Phoenix is again slammed back first into a turnbuckle. He staggers out, and Triple M puts him into an abdominal stretch.
Mister Mav: And the Marauder again putting pressure on that lower body of Phoenix!
Arelas: A perfect plan of attack by Triple M, as he is torturing Phoenix.
Triple M releases Phoenix and picks up the mic, but as he goes back Phoenix is already back to his knees, connecting on the surprised Triple M with a right hand. Phoenix gets to his feet, only to get drilled with a knee to the chest, and Triple M lifts Phoenix onto the top rope. Triple M climbs the turnbuckle and sets up a superplex, but Phoenix knocks him off with a right hand. Phoenix tries to stand, but Triple M shakes the ropes, and Phoenix slumps onto the turnbuckle, leaning forward with his back exposed, and Triple M snatches up the chair and smashes it right into the exposed back! Triple M sets up the chair in the center of the ring, as though he is going to sit and face the crowd, then goes back and pulls Phoenix over. He lifts Phoenix into the air and delivers a backbreaker, right onto the chair!
Mister Mav: OH MY GOD!
Arelas: The chair is dented, Mav! Triple M drove Phoenix into that chair back first with enough force to break the chair!
Triple M stands and picks up the mic, then gets on one knee next to Phoenix.
Triple M: Don’t be a fool. Give up!
Phoenix: No…never!
Mister Mav: Phoenix is insane! You made a strong effort! We’re all proud! Give up and save yourself!
Arelas: Phoenix is not going to give up, Mav! He’ll never give up! Triple M may have to quit himself just so he can get on with the rest of his life!
Triple M shakes his head in disgust and tosses away the mic, then goes to pull him up, but Phoenix grabs him into a headlock. Phoenix tries to adjust for leverage, but Triple M stands and lifts him for a side suplex, but Phoenix floats off it, and as Triple M turns around Phoenix lifts him into a spinebuster! Triple M is slammed hard into the mat, and Phoenix staggers into the ropes.
Mister Mav: An amazing comeback being attempted here by Phoenix, and the crowd here tonight is on their feet, giving him their full support!
Phoenix uses the ropes to hold himself up as he tries to recover, and Triple M starts to stir. Phoenix picks up the chair as Triple M is getting up, and Phoenix lays right into his face with it!
Arelas: Holy hell! That’s got to be one of the most intense chairshots I’ve ever seen!
Phoenix picks up the mic and twirls it in his hand, then walks over to Triple M. He uses his foot to nudge Triple M off his chest onto his back, revealing Triple M’s face to be a crimson mask. Phoenix stands over him, and leans down with the mic, but Triple M grabs his legs and rips them out from underneath him. Triple M stands and turns Phoenix over into the Liontamer, positioning him so that his face is right next to the dropped mic!
Arelas: Now this is a clever maneuver by the Marauder. He’s got Phoenix in a submission hold, and that mic is right next to his mouth, just taunting him to give it up!
The microphone amplifies Phoenix’s screams of agony through the arena, and Triple M smiles with glee, even as his own blood drips off his face. Phoenix struggles, griting his teeth and refusing to give, and he pushes off the mat to give himself leverage, then reaches back and yanks the leg of the Marauder, breaking his balance and forcing him to release the hold as he tumbles to the mat. Phoenix doesn’t move, and it looks as though he just used his last bit of strength. Triple M is starting to look frustrated, and he gets to his feet and pulls Phoenix up, then shoves him into the corner. Triple M grabs the steel chair, then goes to the corner and slams the edge of the chair right into the chest of Phoenix! Triple M slams it again, and a third time, driving the hard edge of the steel right into the ribs and stomach of Phoenix. Triple M grabs the mic and goes back as Phoenix starts to slump down, and Triple M catches him with his arm and lifts him back up, getting close to his face.
Triple M: Give…UP!!!
Phoenix has a pained look on his face, then violently coughs, bringing up blood that splatters onto Triple M’s chest. Triple M backs away, and Phoenix falls out of the corner onto his hands and knees. Triple M has a stunned look on his face, but he shakes it off and grabs Phoenix by the head, pulling him to the center of the ring, and Triple M lifts Phoenix and presses him overhead. Triple M holds him there for a moment, as blood drips off both of their bodies, and Triple M drops him into a super backbreacker! Phoenix slumps lifelessly to the mat, and the bell suddenly starts ringing!
Mister Mav: What the hell is going on?
Triple M looks around, confused, and several officials rush into the ring, including the referee, who has been watching the entire match from the outside. They surround Phoenix, and Triple M looks to be in disbelief, already holding the mic in his hand.
Ring Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the referee has decided to end this match for the safety of those involved, and award the victory to Metalhead Matt Marauder!
Triple M: NO!
Metalhead Matt rushes to the crowd of officials, pulling them away from Phoenix and shoving them down.
Triple M: You’re going to give up! You’re going to say I Quit!
Triple M is violently shaking Phoenix, who looks to be barely conscious and unable to move. The officials try to pull him away, but Triple M struggles against them, still holding the mic.
Triple M: Let go of me! He has to quit! I have to make him quit!
Triple M has tears of frustration in his eyes, and he breaks free from the officials and slides into Phoenix.
Arelas: This has gone on long enough!
Triple M: Just say it! Just say I Quit!
Arelas slides into the ring as Triple M shoves away another official, and Arelas grabs him and pulls him right up into the Eternal Slam, and Triple M rolls right out of the ring! Arelas stares at him as he lays at ringside, then turns back to the officials tending to Phoenix, a concerned look on his face. EMTs come down the ramp with a stretcher, and Arelas helps them position Phoenix on it and lift him out of the ring. The EMTs carry Phoenix up the ramp, as Triple M watches from ringside, blood still dripping from his face, and he slowly hangs his head.
Winner: Metalhead Matt Marauder via Referee’s Decision
Mister Mav: Well, that has to have been one of the most vicious matches I’ve seen in all my days of calling matches!
Arelas sits back down at the table, putting his headset on.
Arelas: It was a great match to be sure, Mav, an inspiring effort by Phoenix, and a miserable finish by Metalhead Matt Marauder.
Mister Mav: But an I Quit Match should only end when one of the participants gives up, Arelas!
Arelas: Actually, no. I’ve been doing a lot of research and reading up on rules and history, in preparation both for my commentary and for taking the commissionership back over, and it turns out that a referee can stop an I Quit Match if he feels that one of the participants is putting himself in permanent jeopardy by continuing or is unable to communicate that he can no longer continue. On a sidenote, I finally found out what the written rules are to a Napoleon’s Revenge Match.
Mister Mav: You found an entry for it in the LWF rulebook? What did it say?
Arelas: It said “the rules change everytime Arelas has an opportunity to win.” I’m not kidding, that’s what the book said. Lock is a jackass.
A highlight package is shown of the events leading to the unification of the LWF and UWF Titles. Emperor runs down Iceman at Lord of the Ring. Iceman is shown undergoing surgery. Emperor is able to retain the LWF Title in a triple threat match against Phoenix and Triple M after he is attacked by Big Pimpin and Lock announces his takeover of UWF. Iceman returns and has a confrontation with Emperor. Iceman defeats Big Pimpin to win the UWF Championship, setting up the rematch between the two as a title unification match.
The white stage pyro explodes as How Soon Is Now by Everclear hits to a mighty pop from the crowd, and Iceman appears on the stage, the UWF Title secured around his waist. He walks down the ramp through the blue flames to the ring.
Mister Mav: Will a journey of over two years be completed here tonight, as Iceman gets a shot at the title he introduced to this federation as its initial holder, the LWF Championship itself!
Greed hits to strong heat, and Emperor walks down the ramp to the ring. He climbs onto a turnbuckle and raises the LWF Title overhead to loud jeers from the crowd.
Arelas: Mav, Emperor has already proven that he will stop at nothing to keep the LWF Title, even going so far as to do something that could be life-threatening, as he showed two months ago when he ran Iceman down in the parking lot at Lord of the Ring!
Emperor steps off the turnbuckle and turns around, and Iceman slams right into him with a hard clothesline, sending him spilling over the ropes to the outside. Iceman steps through the ropes to the outside as Emperor is getting back to his feet, and they brawl at ringside. They fight their way around the ring, and Emperor whips Iceman into the steel steps. Emperor lifts Iceman up and drops him onto the barricade. Iceman tumbles over the barricade and into the crowd, and Emperor chases after him. They fight their way through the crowd until Emperor eventually shoves Iceman back over barricade to ringside. Emperor goes to whip Iceman back into the steps, but Iceman reverses it, and Emperor slams into the steel. Iceman pulls Emperor up and shoves him into the ring, then rolls in himself. Emperor staggers to his feet, but Iceman wraps him up in a waistlock and hits a German Suplex. Iceman maintains the hold, then pulls Emperor back up and hits a second German Suplex. Iceman sets Emperor up for a third, but Emperor elbows out of it. Iceman steps back, and Emperor kicks goes to kick him in the chest, but Iceman catches the leg and spins Emperor around, then takes him down with a Lou Thesz press, and follows it up with the Freezing Point! Iceman stands up and points to the turnbuckle to a loud pop from the crowd. Iceman climbs to the top rope, then leaps off for the View From the North Pole, but Emperor rolls out of the way and Iceman tastes mat.
Arelas: I seriously have no idea why he does that. He never ever hits that move.
Iceman staggers up and Emperor hits a full nelson slam, then covers, one, two, Iceman kicks out. Emperor bounces off the ropes and goes for a swinging neckbreaker as Iceman is getting up, but Iceman pulls back out of the way, then grabs Emperor and hits the Deep Freezer! Iceman covers and hooks the leg, one, two, Emperor kicks out! Iceman shoves him back down and covers again with the lateral press, one, two, Emperor again gets the shoulder up!
Arelas: Iceman is doing a good job of keeping the pressure on Emperor, keeping him in a position where he is forced to be on the defensive.
Iceman bounces off the ropes and charges, but runs into a big boot from Emperor.
Arelas: I sit corrected.
Emperor sets up and hits a pump handle slam, then covers, one, two, Iceman kicks out. Emperor slams his fist on the mat in frustration, and rolls out of the ring. He retrieves his scepter from underneath the mat and rolls back into the ring. Emperor comes back into the ring as Iceman is staggering up and cracks him in the chest with the scepter.
Arelas: Mav, I’ll bet you the referee would like to be able to call a disqualification here, but this is a title unification match, and we want a decisive winner!
Iceman falls to his knees, and Emperor swings the bat from overhead, but Iceman rolls out of the way. Iceman pulls himself up with the ropes, and Emperor swings the scepter again. Iceman dives out of the way, and Emperor hits the ropes with the scepter, which propels the weapon back into his own face! Emperor staggers, and Iceman spears him to the mat, and both men are down.
Arelas: Mav, I have made many a mistake in my career, but I have never, ever, hit myself in the face with my own weapon.
Mister Mav: That would probably be rather bad with the Sword of Justice.
Iceman gets to his feet and waits for Emperor. Emperor slowly staggers up and Iceman scoops him for the Icy Depths, but Emperor floats out of it! Emperor goes to kick Iceman in the chest as he turns around, but Iceman again catches the leg and shoves it away. Iceman swings for a clothesline, but Emperor ducks it, then kicks Iceman in the chest and hits the Deathbow! Deathbow to Iceman! Emperor covers, one, two, Iceman gets the shoulder up!
Mister Mav: And Iceman just barely got his shoulder up after that Deathbow, and this crowd is on their feet giving him their full support!
Emperor stands up, frustrated, and he stomps once on Iceman’s chest before heading to the corner. Emperor goes to the top rope, then goes for the Leap of Royalty, but Iceman gets his knees up and Emperor lands right on them! Emperor rolls away in pain, and Iceman rolls over and gets to his feet. Iceman pulls Emperor up and sets up the Deep Freezer, but Emperor elbows him away, then kicks him in the chest and hits the Deathbow! Deathbow to Iceman, and the force of the move rockets him into the air and he rolls right out of the ring, as Emperor goes down still holding his chest.
Mister Mav: A second Deathbow to Iceman! You gotta believe that even if he is able to get back into that ring under his own power, he’ll have nothing left to beat Emperor with!
Emperor rolls out of the ring, then pulls Iceman up and bounces his head off the steel steps. He takes a moment to catch his breath, then rolls Iceman into the ring. Emperor slides in and stomps down on Iceman, then picks up his legs and starts to go for Hell’s Grasp, but Iceman kicks him away. Emperor staggers away into the ropes as Iceman gets up, and the ropes push Emperor back into a scoop from Iceman for the Icy Depths! Iceman covers, one, two, three!
Winner and new Unified LWF Champion: Iceman
Mister Mav: It’s Iceman! Iceman has done it, he has regained his long lost title, the LWF Championship!
Arelas: We’ve got a new champion as we enter the new era of Angelic Justice, tomorrow on Warzone!
End Pay-Per-View
Mister Mav: Welcome, one and all, to our summer Pay-Per-View spectacular, welcome to Meltdown!
Arelas: Eight huge matches are on the card tonight, Mav. Six titles will be unified, CoolJ and Lock square off once more in a No Holds Barred Match, and Phoenix and Triple M will finally set foot in a ring together for an I Quit Match!
Unification Match: Ghostdad versus Black Rose
Unification Match: Xecutioner versus Chef
Unification Match: Nomad versus C.J. Diamond
No Holds Barred Match: CoolJ versus Lock
Unification Match: Metal Militia versus Degenerate World Order

A teaser is shown for next month’s Pay-Per-View spectacular, Vengeance. The theme for Vengeance is Weak and Powerless by A Perfect Circle.
Unification Table Match: Fear versus Red Fusion
I Quit Match: Phoenix versus Metalhead Matt Marauder
Unification Match: Emperor versus Iceman
