Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
We begin Synergy with the Keymaster and World Champion making his Horizons choice!
Dark Destroyer and Captain 80’s make their way out first. DD fumbling around as usual while his pal tries to help him along the way. Dave Rydell comes out next, looking focused and irritated at the same time. Ezra Wolf comes out, showing off his newly won Cross-Hemisphere Title.
The opening bell sounds and Dave starts against Captain 80’s. A quick lock up proves to be unsuccessful for the Captain as Dave quickly hits a standing spinebuster. He then whips the Captain into the opposing corner and DD accidentally tags in while trying to secure his cape. Dave smirks while he hurls Captain 80’s over the ropes. He grabs Dark Destroyer by the head and flings him over the ropes into the ring. Dave whips DD into his teams corner, tags in Ezra and they both go to work. Double suplex. DD pops back up but turns right into a double superkick! Dave looks at Ezra then points to the top rope and Ezra hops up. Dave quickly hits the Virus of Life on Dark Destroyer while Ezra leaps and hits Gravity Falls! Ezra covers for 3 while Dave tackles an incoming Captain 80’s!
Winner: Ezra Wolf and Dave Rydell via pinfall
Time: 2:01
After the final bell, Ezra is about to exit the ring but Dave stops him.
We come back from the break with Vespertine now in the ring after the incident before the break. Rogan makes his way out to the ring flashing his half of the Co-Operative titles. Vespertine is none too pleased, and who would be after that interaction with her rivals?
The bell rings and Vespertine rushes at Rogan, hoping to catch him off guard. Unfortunately for her it doesn’t work and he uses her own momentum against her to launch her with a nasty overhead throw. He follows it up with raw displays of power, consisting of more suplexes, throws, a couple of powerslams and finally a facebuster and a piledriver for a two count. He pulls her up a straight up throws her into the air, watching as she crashes to the mat. He bends over to pull her up, but she surprises him with a roll up for a two count.
Rogan gets up and boots her in the face as soon as she’s up. The impact knocks her back into the corner and Rogan goes for a splash. Vespertine moves, getting her first opening when Rogan crashes into the turnbuckle face first. He stumbles off and gets dropped with a chop block. She proceeds to put on an arial display with a 450, a springboard legdrop, a Five Star Frogsplash and a 650. She goes for the pin, but Rogan kicks out. Vespertine stays on the attack by attacking his weakened leg which she finishes by wrapping him into tarantula in the ropes. She waits for the maximum time of the five count before letting go, but leaves Rogan tangled up in the ropes. She leaps up onto the far turnbuckle and leaps, driving both feet into his face with a vicious dropkick that leaves him flat on the mat. She drags him to the middle of the ring and drops him with “Especially Diva”, then connects with and locks in “Death by Diva”.
Rogan struggles against the hold, eventually working himself over to the ropes. He pulls himself up with them and then uses physics to break Vespertine’s hold…by literally falling backwards on top of her. The impact doesn’t quite break the hold, so Rogan pulls himself back up, runs across the ring, turns and slams Vespertine back first into the turnbuckle. She releases him with a woosh of air, then stumbles out into the ring just in time to take a clothesline that draws winces from the first five rows. He lands both “The Rise of Hydra” and “An Ode to Megatron”, follows them with “The Call of Cthulhu” and gets the three count.
Winner: Rogan MacLean via pinfall
Time: 8:12
Montague comes out first, followed by Pierce. Covert Jay mentions it’s colder than Konrad’s snowballs in here. Come to think of it, it has gotten a bit chilly.
The match starts off quickly, Monty and Travis trading blows, before Travis ducks and gives Monty the cold shoulder. Looking insulted, Monty charges forward right into a hip toss from Pierce. Now that’s cold! Usually it’s Montague who uses trickery to gain the advantage.
Montague gets back on his feet and they continue to fight each other off, neither gaining a clear advantage. Now it’s Montague who ducks a standing clotheline and sweeps the legs of Pierce. Pierce on his back and Monty rolls to the outside to rummage under the ring. Pierce leans out between the ropes, however, and grabs Montague by his hair.
As he pulls Montague up, Monty points something that looks like a nozzle and sprays Pierce! It’s liquid nitrogen! Pierce stumbles backwards and Monty crawls in to make the pin for a near fall, Pierce kicking out. But Pierce is still blinded by the nitrogen, and Montague uses it to his advantage, hitting him with the Big Finish for the 3 count and the victory!
Winner: Montague Cervantes
Time: 8:37
Raab immediately aggressive at the outset of the match, attacking JC with a series of right hands that back him into the ropes. Raab goes to whip JC into the opposite ropes, but JC reverses it before running to the perpendicular ropes, and he connects with Dance Macabre, sending Raab sprawling, and Raab tumbles under the bottom rope to the outside.
JC steps out through the ropes and drops to ringside, and he goes to bring Raab back up, but Raab suddenly grabs him and runs him backwards into the barricade. Raab viciously stomps away on JC before dragging him back to his feet and hurling him into the steel steps. The referee is telling Raab to bring the match back into the ring, and Raab rolls halfway in to break the count before heading right back out to ringside. He goes to grab JC again, but JC elbows him in the chest before shoving him back first into the ring post.
JC sends Raab back into the ring before climbing onto the apron and stepping in through the ropes. Raab stumbles to his feet with JC behind him, and JC goes for the Epiphany, but Raab turns at the last moment and ducks under it, goozling JC as he turns to face him and lifting JC into the Iceinator! Raab covers and gets a two count.
Raab attempts to set up a cloverleaf, but JC kicks him away. JC gets to his feet but Raab catches him with a European uppercut. JC stumbles and Raab pulls him into a waistlock, but JC throws back an elbow and knocks him loose. JC goes for the Big Boot of Death, evaded by Raab, who handsprings looking for the Black Ice Storm, only for JC to catch him in a fireman’s carry, and he connects with Solitaire Unraveling! JC covers and gets the three!
Winner: JC
Time: 6:19
JC has his arm raised in victory as he celebrates, when suddenly “Invidia” hits the PA. Donovan Hastings appears on the stage, staring at the victor in the ring. Hastings comes down the ramp and slowly enters the ring, standing toe to toe with the Bogeyman, who stares back at him. Hastings slowly turns his gaze to the Horizons logo hanging high in the arena, and after a moment JC does the same. The arena is deafening as both men stare at the logo, and JC slowly turns his head back to Hastings and nods.
JC starts to say something to Hastings, when suddenly Raab attacks him from behind with the flanged German mace! Hastings leaves the ring as the diabolical Konrad Raab repeatedly assaults JC with the weapon, angrily raining blow after blow upon him. Raab finally leaves as a stoic Hastings returns to the ring with a steel chair. Hastings calmly opens the chair and sets it up over JC’s chest, pinning him under it as Hastings sits backwards on the chair, looking over the back of it down at the wounded JC. Hastings tilts his head to the side and watches JC for a moment, before pointing back at the Horizons logo again, without taking his eyes off of JC himself. Hastings says something to JC that the cameras can’t pick up, before standing and exiting the ring, leaving JC under the chair.
Holden Orson comes out first, followed by Lucy Wylde, sporting two belts. Lucy 2 Belts. The bell sounds and both lock up in the middle of the ring. Holden and Lucy go through an impressive series of chain wrestling. Not the usual we see. Barely any arm drags! A few dragon screws that got countered rather quickly, and beautifully. There was a hiptoss or two though. Quite a bit of Irish whipping and countered rebound attacks.
Lucy is able to secure a headlock on Holden. He shoves her right into the corner. As she bounces out, he hits a back body toss. Lucy rolls into the momentum and pops up right into a shoulder block. Holden pulls Lucy up and whips her into the ropes. On the rebound Holden swings for a clothesline but Lucy ducks it and hits the ropes again. Flying forearm smash! Holden goes down but pops right back up. Spinning heel kick from Lucy!
Lucy grabs Holden and hits a quick snap suplex, followed by an elbow drop. Followed up by a knee drop to the chest. Holden clutches his chest in pain. Lucy drops down and gets Holden in an arm bar, but after about a minute of the hold, Holden reaches the ropes to get out of it. Lucy pulls him up but he counters with a back elbow to the face. Lucy staggers and Holden hits a back suplex!
Holden grabs Lucy and sends her into the corner, following up with a knee to the gut. Lucy staggers out and Holden goes for The Facade but Lucy counters out. As Holden turns, she goes for Wylde Liberation! Holden shoves her! She turns right into Black! But Lucy dodges it! Holden is shocked! He quickly turns right into Wylde Liberation!!!! Lucy covers and gets 3!
Winner: Lucy Wylde via pinfall
