Synergy #27 Results - January 24th, 2011

Vinegar: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Synergy! After lastw eeks show, everyone has a lot of questions, how will Donovan react to missing out on the Lord of the Ring Tournament, what is Ooley's game, how will jet respond to the consortium? Will we get answers tonight? Who knows, but lets dive straight into the show.

"Shout 2000" hits over the PA system as John Russo, Kyle Tacker and Sierra Steel appear from behind the curtain. Sierra gives John a smile, which sets him and his partner off running down the ramp and they end up sliding into the ring under.

Dennis: This Cooperative match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, Jooooooooooooooooooohn Russo and Kyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyle Tackkkkkkkkkkkker!

Vinegar: The happily engaged couple saw some violence last week as Red Fusion unleashed hell on Sierra after she interfered in the match.

Dr. Lieberjosch: Well deserved.

Vinegar: Are you supporting violence against women?

Dr. Lieberjosch: Don't play that card, have you seen this sport?

As they pose in the ring and play to the crowd, Sierra makes her way down to ringside. John looks over at Sierra standing over at ringside before smiling and yelling out to the crowd, "Shout!"

"Quick Death" plays as The Thames Valley Hit Squad appears!

Dennis: And their opponents, your UGWC Cooperative Champions, The Thames Valley Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit Sqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqquad!

Blake strides out and begins walking straight to the ring, but Ryder hangs back to pose for the crowd, even stopping to sign a couple of autographs. Blake, now on the apron, turns to find his partner still three quarters of the way up the ramp, rolls his eyes and yells for him to move it along. Ryder takes his time, but finally makes it to ringside.

Dr. Lieberjosch: This could be a real team to reckon with if they could get on the same page and not change gimmicks after every pay per view.

Vinegar: Tacker and Ryder are going to start this one off.

Dr. Lieberjosch: Ryder moving in with some forearm shots, backing Tacker up to the ropes before whipping him to the other side.

Vinegar: Tacker returning with a big boot.

Dr. Lieberjosch: Ryder doesn't stay down long, pops back up to his feet with a big clothesline.

Covert Jay: The Royal Thames Hit Battallion is a team that has gained a lot of respect and confidence in the last couple of months, and you can see how undaunted they are out there tonight.

Vinegar: Duncan throwing a tag to Blake, who rushes in with a dropkick!

Dr. Lieberjosch: That may be, but it's hard to break the joke stigma that surrounded them for much of 2010.

Covert Jay: What's so funny about a couple of British Loyalists?

Dr. Lieberjosch: What are you talking about?

Vinegar: Spinebuster from Blake!

Vinegar: He crawls to his corner to make a tag to Russo, but Johnny Blake leaps to splash.

Dr. Lieberjosch: No! Russo ducks it, pulling the ropes down, and Blake spills out onto the floor.

Vinegar: Russo accepting the tag, then falling off the apron with an elbow drop to the outside!

Dr. Lieberjosch: Shoving Blake back in the ring now, he lifts him up for a big Samoan Drop!

Vinegar: Rollup

Vinegar: No, Tacker spears Blake, breaking up the move!

Dr. Lieberjosch: Green trying to restore order as Tacker brawls Johnny Blake to the side of the ring and clotheslines him over the top!

Vinegar: Tacker follows Blake outside, as the brawl continues.

Dr. Lieberjosch: Russo and Ryder are battling it out in the ring, Russo gaining the upperhand!

Vinegar: Knee to the gut, DDT!

Dr. Lieberjosch: He doesn't cover, but pulls Ryder back to his feet.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool come running out from the back and take their respective positions on the ‘Ground Zero Band’ stage to a massive pop from the UGWC fans. Billie approaches the mic before screaming

Most of the crowd begin to rise as Green Day launch into skate punk hit of the 90’s, ‘Welcome to Paradise’

BJA: Dear Mother

(JK follows the motion of Green Day and bolts out from behind the back to even more screaming from the audience as he approaches the mic set up for him in the middle of the ramp)

(JK leaves the mic with a looks of satisfaction plastered on his face, due to the fact that he has yet again got a huge band to play his little entrance, and continues his march on the ring)

BJA: A gunshot rings out at the station
Another urchin snaps & left dead on his own
It makes me wonder why I'm still here
For some strange reason it's now feelin like my home
& I'm never gonna go

(JK walks down to the edge of the ring, looks out to the sea of admiring fans, before running his hands through his hair to sweep his fringe back)

(JK walks around to the other side of the ring, and climbs up the steel steps. As he reaches the top of the ring apron, he turns around to the fans, smiles, and raises a single arm to the roar of the thousands in attendance, and possibly, the millions watching at home [DX aint got noithin’ on me])

BJA: Dear Mother
Can you hear me laughing?
It's been 6 whole months

(He enters the ring, and again looks out to his admiring fans as he waits out the final chorus)

JK: Thank-you so much, GREEN DAY!

One last cheer ushers out from the audience as the band takes its leave.

JK: Wow, what a week it’s been, huh? As you know from last week, I have been in Brisbane doing some charity shows to help raise money for those affected by the floods which claimed a massive 75% of my home state. It’s been a week after the huge 5.5 meter flood, to put it in perspective for you Yanks, that’s about 18 feet and 0.53 inches of water, hit the third largest city in Australia, and the damage was still visible. Many businesses and homes were submerged and even iconic restaurants and Sporting complexes such as Oxley’s on the river, and Suncorp Stadium were claimed by the torrents. Many people were killed, and others missing as the flood water swept through the Lockyer Valley. And in some areas, such as in Ipswich, the water levels reached as high as 20 meters, or 65 feet and 7.4 inches.

JK lowers the mic for a second to the almost deathly silence of the fans in attendance to let it sink in a little.

Vinegar: Oh my god…

JK: Many friends of mine back home would like to say thank you to everyone in America who has expressed concern and even to the US government, who offered support to us, it is nice to know that people out there care about us.

A few small cheers emit from the audience

JK: Now, on to business. I said this last week, I wanted to interview the guy who I beat for the CH title back in Horizons, but unfortunately, he wasn’t available then. This week, however, he is. Please welcome, JOHN RUSSO!!!!!!!!!!

"Shout 2000" hits the P.A. to a massive reception from the audience as John Russo walks out from the back. The two exchange a curt handshake, before JK hands his Horizons opponent a mic.

JK: John, thank you for taking the time to be on the show, I know you’ve had a real hectic couple of weeks with wedding planning and all.

Russo: Yeah, it's been a hell of a couple of weeks. And that was just finding the right venue and such.

JK: Now, Horizons, big night for many. In your absolute honest opinion, what did you think was the best match of the night?

Russo: Honestly?

John lowers the microphone to think for a second before raising it back up to speak.

Russo: Even though I know you and I tore that place down... I gotta give it to Prescott and Roberts, that truly was a great match-up.

JK: Did you think that our match would end in the way that it did? Or were you expecting the match to have a bit of a more violent end?

Russo: I wasn't expecting to tap if that is what you are saying. That's a hell of a hold you got there.

JK: As was previously mentioned, you proposed to Sierra just before our match, I myself am a married man, so I just have to ask. Has Sierra gone all Bridezilla yet? Cause I can’t say anything about mine because she’d kill me if she saw *JK laughs*, but I just gotta know.

John chuckles for a moment.

Russo: Well; aside from the fiasco with making sure we could get the right venue, which we did apparently, not too much of a Bridezilla.

JK: What do you think that the year 2011 holds for John Russo and his friends?

Russo: For starters; I think I'm gonna get my first world title this time around, and quite possibly become the face of UGWC come Valentine's Day. And of course a happy to start to Sierra and I when we tie the knot. As for my cohorts, who knows... just as long as I can kick Tacker of his addiction to DC Universe it would be a win.

JK: Will you be going for the CH title for a third time? Or are you moving on to bigger and better things?

John pauses for a second once again looking around at the fans in the arena.

Russo: Well, I know that everyone here and at home would like to see the both of us mix it up again. But in actuality, I think I'm gonna roll with the punches and take whatever opportunities present themselves to me.

JK: Last week, you took on Red Fusion for a spot in the Global Challenge, were you nervous going in?

Russo: Against Red? Naw, he and I have gone at it a multitude of times, so this was just another match to me. Reward or not.

JK: What was your thought process while going through the highly anticipated opener to the UGWC season?

Russo: Believe it or not, I actually had Welcome to Paradise playing in my head the entire time.

JK: John, a little bit of a favour I have to ask of you here, While I was in Queensland, I did a visit to a little kid with Cancer in one of the evacuation centres in Brisbane. He had asked the Make-a-wish foundation if he could meet a UGWC superstar, so they wrangled me in. Anyway, he is a huge fan of yours, and he asked me if I could get you to autograph this.

JK pulls out a UGWC t-shirt with Russo and JK prominently displayed, bearing the Horizons logo underneath

JK: So, could you sign this for little Jackson?

Russo: Sure, can't say no to a kid.

Russo: It's been fun.

Vinegar: We continue on here on Synergy, with another qualifying match for this year’s Global Challenge!

Covert Jay: Who wants to be Lord of the Ring?

The lights dim to a near blackout, as all you can see on the Titantron is the words: "He Is Here!" Suddenly, an explosion erupts from the stage as "Firefly" by Breaking Benjamin starts up. Medos appears just as the chorus starts. He walks to the front of the stage, looks around, raises one hand up slowly, then throws it down as yet another explosion appears from behind him. The screen is showing Medos wrestling with several other wrestlers from previous matches. Medos carries on walking down, he slaps hands with one fan, and walks past the others. He rolls into the ring, and towards an turnbuckle. He points at the fans, raises his hand to his forehead, sticks his index and middle finger out, and salutes the fans. He then prepares himself.

Dennis: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Global Challenge Qualifying Match! Introducing first, the British Lionheart, MEEEEEEEEDOOOOSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Covert Jay: Medos, you tres.

Vinegar: Medos last week came up short when he challenged Ezekiel Pax for the Chaos Championship, we’ll see how he bounces back tonight in what is another big opportunity for this young talent.

"Vow" starts, and the arena goes black with red lights strobing all over the place in time to the opening guitar riffs. When the music cresendoes, the lights goes into a steady red all over the arena, and a light blue spotlight shines on the entrance as The Talk comes out with his Mallet Of Doom ™ slung across his shoulders. He walks down, taking his time, looking all around the arena with an unreadable gaze. When he hits the ring, he stands on the apron staring out into the crowd. As the song crescendoes into the chorus for the first time, he raises his Mallet Of Doom ™ with one hand and pyros blow the all around the perimeter of the ring in red, blue, and white. On the Titantron, when The Talk comes out for the first time, "The Talk Of The Town" fills the screen in huge letters, followed by clips of The Talk wrestling and laughing maniacally.

Dennis: And his opponent, The Talk of the Town, ALAN FERNANNNNDEZZZZZ!!!!!

Vinegar: This year’s Global Challenge represents the return of LWF’s Lord of the Ring tournament, an event that Fernandez once won.

Lieberjosch: Which I of course wrote about in Article #23 which was about things that happened a long time ago.

Covert Jay: The Talk won it in 2002, and just a few months later he won the World Championship at Outlast!

Lieberjosch: And this is 2011, and Medos is a talent on the rise and Fernandez’s has more days behind him than ahead.

DING DING!

Vinegar: Referee Brian Chartreuse getting us underway, both competitors circling each other, double elbow tie-up, transition into a waistlock by Fernandez, Medos reverses and cuts behind.

Lieberjosch: But Fernandez spins and drops him with a Snap DDT!

Vinegar: And Medos tries to get right back to his feet, but Fernandez springboards off the ropes into a missile dropkick!

Covert Jay: The Talk was known for years for being the Innovator of Offense, he’s probably forgotten more maneuvers and holds than Medos will ever know.

Vinegar: Medos knocked through the ropes and out of the ring by the impact, Fernandez rolling out after him, pulling Medos up by his hair.

Lieberjosch: Chop to the chest!

Vinegar: Fernandez staggered, and Medos hits Transatlantic Trouble!

Lieberjosch: It gives Medos a moment to get his bearings, and he’s got to get the match back into the ring, he can’t win it on the outside.

Vinegar: Brian Chartreuse yelling at them from the ring to bring it back in, Medos shoves Fernandez in, rolling in himself.

Lieberjosch: Fernandez knocks him down with a roundhouse kick!

Vinegar: Fernandez gets his bearings, comes off the ropes.

Covert Jay: Medos leaps up and drops him as he runs right into the Tanabata!!!!

Vinegar: He’s got a cover!

Lieberjosch: This is a veteran that knows what this tournament can do for his career, it’s likely to take a lot to keep him down.

Vinegar: Medos must realize that, even as he backs of now, staring at Fernandez as the Talk trying to get to his feet.

Vinegar: Fernandez rolls out of the way, pulls Medos into a school boy pin!

Lieberjosch: And he earned it with this hard fought victory, but it’s still uphill from here!

Vinegar: We’ve got plenty more action for you here tonight, on Synergy!

We go backstage, and in a similar scene to last we week, we are greeted by the site of Robert Ooley sitting around the Oval desk, his Consortium partners are nowhere to be seen. This week however he is joined by Todd the Intern who is clutching a pad and paper. Todd's eyes are continually drawn towards Lois, Ooley's baseball bat, which is leaning against the arm of Ooley's chair.

Dexter Vines and Moss Edwards eventually walk into the room, both men finishing a hushed conversatuion as they take their seats. Ooley looks at his watch and smiles.

Ooley: How are you both?

Dexter:What's he doing here?

Dexter motions towards Todd.

Ooley: Who? Toss? Have either of you ever read the UGWC Consortium Rules and Procedures for Conducting Business?

Moss: Skimmed it.

Dexter: Helped Co-Wrote it.

Ooley: Marvellous! Then both of you will be aware that we have been conducting our meetings inappropriately, as we have not had anyone taking minutes. Toss takes care of that.

Dexter: But he's not even writing anything, he's staring at your bat.

Ooley: He's what? I knew he was a little perver...Oh, you mean Lois? She's a fine specimen, who can blame him. Toss knows to only take the pertinent notes. It's the only way we can ensure these Consortium Meetings can be classified as official, we need proper documentation of events.

Dexter: I guess it makes sense. Now we need to talk to you about that business in the Main Event last week, what were you thinking? As a member of the Consortium you cannot be getting involved in contests between the Entertainment Professionals.

Ooley: I have my reasons, but before we move on, don't you think we should recap you on the meeting so far.

Moss: We've only been here a couple of minutes, I'm sure we can recall everything.

Ooley: Indeed, but the meeting officially started twenty-five minutes ago, and as per the Rules and Procedures, as long as there is a minute taker and one member of the Consortium present the meeting may go on.

Dexter: So, what was discussed.

Todd: Well Mr Ooley presented to the forum his current motion. He feels the UGWC Human Resources department is being stretched tpo thinly. Many people have a very narrow view of HR, that it's main function is for discipline, and whilst this is one of it's functions, no truly committed HR specialist would focus solely on this.

Moss: Yeah, they should never forget facilitating vacation time.

Both Dexter and Moss snigger, as Ooley motions Todd to continue, as he sits back in his chair, unperturbed by his colleagues reactions.

Todd: Mr Ooley stated that he believed that currently the HR department is not fulfilling it's commitment to advancing those in the employment of UGWC. He expanded to explain that any company should always strive to help it's employee's better themselves and achieve their full potential, and he had a strategy to ensure this would be the case here in UGWC.

Dexter:You developed a strategy, Rob? You must be so proud.

Todd: Mr Ooley put it to the Consortium that he was in need of assistance in the HR department so that he could focus his time and energies on this project, rather than the everyday tasks that swamp him on a daily basis.

Dexter: Oh, I'm not so sure we could accommodate that at all Rob, y'know what things are like.

Todd: Mr Ooley then presented the Consortium with the Rules and Procedures of UGWC, and highlighted article 7, sub article D, which stated that if any member of the consortium felt they needed additional resources or support of any kind they could put forth a motion for the Consortium to vote upon. Mr Ooley requested that a vote be made in regards to him hiring a Special Consultant for the HR Department.

Dexter: You know us, we love some democracy.

Ooley: Something I am more than aware of.

Moss: I think I'm going to have to say Nay in regards to this.

Dexter: Me too, I feel your pain Rob, I really do, but at the end of the day I really don't see how this would benefit any of us.

Ooley: Toss, don't let them interrupt you. If you want to continue taking minutes and climbing that slippery ladder, you have to be more assertive.

Todd: The vote was taken, and The Consortium found in favour of Mr Ooley's proposal.

Dexter: Um, no we didn't? Can't you count, it was two against and one for. That's a denied motion, where did you...

Todd: No votes were cast against the proposal.

Moss: I think you will find we did.

Ooley: Unfortunately for you, you were about Twenty Minutes to late casting your vote. If you were able to read full pages of information, you may have noted that the Rules and Procedures state that if any members of the Consortium are late for a pre-arranged meeting, they forfeit the right to vote in any motions that are put forward in their absence.

Dexter: Why would you do this? What's your project and who's your Consultant?

Ooley: If you [really wanted those answers, you should have turned up on time. You'll meet the Consultant soon enough. I think that just about covers anything, Toss you can go...

Moss: Wait, what about Jet, we got a letter from him.

Ooley: And? That's not my problem, it was you two that thought it would be a good idea to try and paint him into a corner. Your “foolproof” plan was undone, by Astro Bummers of all people. You two fucktards just need to come to terms with the fact he is the World Heavyweight Champion, and that he has a low opinion of you. Just schedule Scared in a Number 1 Contenders match next week like he asked. And make it relatively easy, no-one else will get the buy-rates Scared will. Either way, I'm leaving.

Dexter: Shouldn't we vote on an opponent?

Ooley: Go ahead, you don't need me for that.

Ooley gets up with a triumphant grin, picks up Lois and walks out of the room swinging her around as he whistles 'the Grand Old Duke of York', as Dexter and Moss look at one another as if they have no idea what just happened.

Vinegar: We've got Coopertaive action up now, and all four competitors in the ring, and whilst Hazel East checks them all for foreign objects, lets take a moment to discuss them in a little depth.

Lieberjosch: So no entrances then? Does Dennis still get paid the same amount, even if he has to do less work? I mean, I have to be here and do my job for the whole show, I can't just stop talking.

Covert Jay: You could give it a try? We won't argue. We could talk about The Dragon and the thievery he was victim of last week.

Vinegar: We still have no explanations for Robert Ooley's actions at the end of last weeks edition of Sentinel, he cost Alex Kiseragi the opportunity to proceed to the Lord of the Ring Tournament at Infinity, and gave that prize to Kiseragi's enemy since the birth of UGWC, Travis Pierce. And he gets an early chance at revenge tonight, you can only imagine Kiseragi will be focused on Pierce rather than Fusion.

Lieberjosch: Fusion will have his hands full with Tyvola anyway, that's probably a blessing for Pierce. If Kiseragi wants him so bad, he may avoid the Destroyer of Dimensions.

Covert Jay: It has to be a tentative alliance between Kiseragi and Tyvola though. I'm pretty sure Ty has taken down Dragons with his bear hands and feasted on their carcasses for months. They could even have been the Dragon's family.

Vinegar: I'm still more concerned with what Ooley had to say to Travis last week, tonight's match just seems to be a distraction from a bigger picture, but I have no idea what it is.

Lieberjosch: He probably told him to take it easy for the rest of the month, he's got nothing to prove now, unlike the other three people in tonight's match, all of whom failed to make it to the next stage of the Global Challenge last week. They have to spend the rest of the month proving they are not failures.

Vinegar: Two of them have good reason to suggest they were screwed.

Lieberjosch: You have to take your opportunities, no matter what, you don't get second chances in this game...

Vinegar: Well...

[Hazel East signals for the bell, yes you do see Brackets, and you know what that means.]

Covert Jay: Recap time!

[Fusion and Tyvola are the men who start things off, and instantly Red is overcome by Tyvola's pure strength, he is initially sent into the corner at great speed, and as he stumbles out his hit by a brutal powerslam. Tyvola then scoops him up and sends him to the ropes, but Fusion ducks the clothesline attempt, and nails Ty on the rebound with a flying forearm. He quickly mounts the Jackal of Jwar Isle, and begins pounding his skull. Ty however manages to get back to his feet, lifting Fusion as he does so, and then dropping him with a ferocious atomic drop.

As Fusion stumbles to his corner and tags Pierce in Tyvola turns to his and unleashes the Dragon. Kiseragi is so pumped up he enters the ring inside the blink of an eye and has crossed it in another, hitting Pierce hard]

Covert Jay: YYYYYAAAAAARRRRRRIIIIII KIIIIIIIICCCCCCCKKKK!!!

Vinegar: Pierce goes flying over the top rope, inadvertently tagging Fusion back into the action. And Kiseragi flashes a satisfied smile.

Covert Jay: That was for last week.

Vinegar: Kiseragi looks slightly annoyed that Pierce made a blind tag and is no longer the legal man, and he whips Red into the turnbuckle as he takes stock.

Covert Jay: He goes over to the turnbuckle, but Fusion is waiting and he slams a boot into the Dragons midsection, before jumping to the top rope and hitting a leaping Bulldog to turn the tide, and buy himself some time.

Vinegar: He looks over to his corner, and sees Pierce is noth their, he is instead propped up against the guard rail clutching his head, he looks in no rush to climb back into the ring.

Lieberjosch: Why risk it, Infinity isn't far away.

Vinegar: Fusion on his feet now, and he slams Kiseragi's head between his legs and he heaves Kiseragi up for a powerbomb...

Covert Jay: But Kiseragi stretches backwards and manages to make the tag to Tyvola, and the big man climbs into the ring...

Vinegar: And Kiseragi slams a fist into Fusions forehead to weaken his grip, and then flings himself back...HURICANRANA..

Vinegar: Kiseragi quickly leaps out of the ring, and grabs Pierce before he manages to makes a quick escape...he throws him into the ring, and Tyvola looms over him. Pierce backs into the corner.

Kiseragi: I want answers.

Pierce: I don't know what you're talking about.

Kiseragi: Sure you do, you're an investigative journalist aren't you? So you must know why Ooley got involved in my business last week.

Pierce: Nope.

Kiseragi: Get on your feet, look me in the eyes, and tell me you had nothing to do with that?

Vinegar: Pierce is gingerly getting to his feet, and Tyvolva steps asie as he walks slowly to meet Kiseragi in the middle of the ring...

Covert Jay: RAIL JUMPER!

Lieberjosch: A fan, wearing a large oversized jacket has just stormed into the ring, and made a run straight at Pierce, colliding into him, both men falling to the floor. The invader on top of Pierce...

Vinegar: Tyvola pulls the fan off...IN THE NAME OF HONEY NUT LOOPS!

Covert Jay: That's no fan, it's Ooley!

Vinegar: And he passed Lois to Pierce, and Pierce has gone swinging at both Kiseragi and Tyvola and both men have been pummelled with the baseball bat, and have no option but to retreat from the rign as Pierce grins and Ooley stands, raising his arm for the second week in a row.

Covert Jay: What is going on?

Vinegar: I have no idea, but I don't like it.

We cut to a shot of an unidentified dressing room. Pretty standard fair until we start noticing the clothes. There are two pairs of women’s shoes strewn about the floor. Two pairs of dark blue denim pants hang over a chair and a couch. Two tiny and flimsy t-shirts lay on just inside the dressing room. Two ebony breasts heave up and down under the afterglow radiating smile of an unnamed woman.

The steam seeps from under the restroom door until the vacuum provided by the door being pulled open ushers away the warm fog. The Goddess Gabrielle steps out comically adjusting what appears to me a napkin sized cian towel in a near futile effort to cover herself while leaving just enough of a full view of her caramel coated complexion.

Gabrielle: I swear someone keeps shrinking my towels.

She stops at the sight of one of her lovers. The dark skinned woman looks up at the Epitome of Beauty and can only muster a low warm resonance from her still tingling body.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM*

The thunderous assault on the door is more than ample justification to sober the scene. Young nubile woman on the floor scampers to her feet as both recover from the jolt back to reality. Pulling on a shirt while Gabrielle reaches for a more appropriate robe the young lady slowly opens the door. Only a dirty heart shaped box greets her. She picks it up ducking her head out into the hallway in an effort to glimpse the deliverer. Then turns to present the ‘gift’ to Ms. Montgomery.

A mutual shrug of the shoulders and she leans in to watch Gabrielle open the box. A simultaneous gasp and pull back as the box of small animal hearts and hyena teeth hits the floor spilling its bloody contents into Gabby’s world.

Back to ringside.

Covert Jay: No not ninja right there. That’s fucked up.

Vinegar: It’s been an evening of excitement and action the likes of which we’ve come to expect here on Synergy, and we’re not through yet!

Lieberjosch: Owen Peterson is in the ring to officiate a match, checking my card, we’re about to see a Goddess!

The lights in the arena dim and the big screen lights up with a scene from the movie ‘Superbad’. The character played by Seth Rogen is bent over, hands on his knee’s breathing hard and you hear him say the words, ‘He’s the fastest kid alive’. The screen goes black then we see Marek run from under the big screen. He jumps into the air, grabbing onto the frame, swinging forward into a backflip and as he lands pyro goes off and ‘You’re The Best’ by Joe Esposito begins to play. Marek rolls forward from the landing and continues down the ramp. He stops at the bottom and puts his hands on his hips, relishing in the reaction from the audience. He then jumps from the ground, grabbing onto the top rope and vaults into the ring without even touching the apron. He stands on the turnbuckle and puts his arms outward, again relishing in the crowd reaction. He jumps down and stretches in his corner.

Dennis: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, the Human Missile, MAREK DAISUUUUUUKEEEEE!!!!!

Covert Jay: Shouldn’t he be introduced as the Chinkster?

Vinegar: I’m not sure that was an official stipulation at Horizons in the eyes of anybody aside from Travis Pierce-

Covert Jay: And me.

What You Want begins to play and Gabrielle walks out atop the entranceway giving a quick twirl before tussling her hair and making her way down to the ring. She climbs up onto the ring apron and then crawls along the length of it before crawling into the ring and getting to her feet where she saunters to the middle of the ring.

Dennis: And his opponent, the Caramel Coated Goddess, GABRIELLE MONTGOMMERRRYYYYYY!!!!!

Lieberjosch: Finally! We get around to being excited for her to come out, and production makes us wait those extra thirty seconds.

Vinegar: This match is between two competitors that have both qualified for the Global Challenge, meaning its entirely possible we could be seeing a preview of the final match that awaits us three weeks from tonight.

DING DING!

Vinegar: Peterson has barely called for the bell, and Daisuke begins unloading on Gabrielle with a flurry of multiple strike combinations, staggering her, and now takes her down with a quick arm drag.

Covert Jay: Daisuke has Gabrielle by the arm, walks her to the ropes, he’s ninjaboarding into a DDT!

Lieberjosch: But Gabrielle counters him out of the air into a Sky High!

Vinegar: Gabrielle shaking her arm that she was kicked in a moment ago, Daisuke getting to his feet.

Lieberjosch: But Gabrielle knocks him down towards the corner with a jumping heel kick!

Vinegar: Gabrielle jumps over the fallen Daisuke, vaults onto the turnbuckle into a split-legged moonsault!

Lieberjosch: Beautiful, and beautifully done!

Vinegar: Hooks the leg!

Lieberjosch: And as Gabrielle gets to her feet, she bows and blows a kiss, this could be the end!

Vinegar: But Daisuke catches a kick to the gut, counters into a screw takedown!

Covert Jay: And he comes off the ropes with a Chono Kick!

Vinegar: Daisuke looking around, he goes to the corner.

Lieberjosch: High risk here!

Covert Jay: Flying Lionheart!!

Lieberjosch: GABRIELLE ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!

Vinegar: Daisuke crashes hard into the mat, holding his chest. Gabrielle to her feet, gets her bearings, Daisuke stumbling up!

Lieberjosch: But this time she’s got him, there it is, 34 Double DDT!!!

Vinegar: Gabrielle plants him with her signature DDT, and she’s got the cover!

Lieberjosch: My sources tell me Jet Somers is unwilling to outright purchase Phrixus Deimos a title shot for Infinity, instead the furthest he will stretch is purchasing him a Number 1 Contenders match. I wonder how the man formerly known as Fear will take that? It's not like Jet really needs his purse, he is already Champion, seems he is more interested in protecting himself, than his honor.

Vinegar: I'm not so sure Fear would have been too happy not earning his shot.

Lieberjosch: He earned his shot when he swallowed his pride and formed an alliance with Somers before Horizons.

Vinegar: I'm not sure I would have called that an “Alliance”.

Lieberjosch: Either way, Jet made a promise, and a man is only as good as his word. And Jet's word is apparently conditional.

Covert Jay: I'm sure, right now he's just focused on the match ahead, Fear is surprisingly good at compartmentalising things.

Dexter: I'm afraid he's telling the truth, their was a small scheduling SNAFU on our side. You see, just before the deadline for the card to be published Donovan requested to buy his way back into the Global Challenge 2011, unfortunately Todd didn't get the message, and the wrong card was sent out. We didn't have the time or resources to fix this.

Vinegar: What a crock of...

Dexter: Donovan must face another qualifying match tonight, and therefore we need the ring. But seeing as we have you both here, it seems a good time to let you know how we have decided to progress with the two of you. Next week Phrixus Deimos will be in a UGWC World Heavyweight Championship Number 1 Contendership match...

Vinegar: We figured as much.

Dexter: Against Jet Somers.

Vinegar: That makes no sense.

Dexter: If Phrixus wins, he will face Somers at Infinity for the UGWC World Heavyweight Championship. If Jet wins, we will pick his opponents.

Hastings: Great, it's simple, now get out of the ring, and let me have a proper entrance.

Vinegar: Phrixus and Jet climb from the ring, and I don't think either man knows quite what to make of this, and I'm not sure I do either.

Lieberjosch: UGWC is a big company, sometimes oversights are made.

Vinegar: What about the bizarre Number 1 Contendership match?

Lieberjosch: Who knows, it's interesting I'll give you that.

Lieberjosch: UGWC will only ever have one true Lord, and that's the man walking down the aisle now. If he isn't at least involved in the Tournament it becomes a farce.

Vinegar: Speaking of farces.

Lieberjosch: That is an insulting and sexist comment. You assume just because she is in a relationship with Donovan that her only interests are the advancement of his career? She is an active competitor too you know, and don't forget her nemesis Gabrielle has already qualified.

Lieberjosch: OK, maybe you were right.

Vinegar: Calypso lays down in the centre of the ring, and Donovan makes the subtlest of covers.
