[You click into GIW’s homepage and you see that there is a link which reads, ‘The Revolution finally Speak Out’, you hastily click on the link and are sent through hyperspace to a page explaining that what follows is footage from a recent interview conducted by Wrestling Illustrated’s Jim Hack, you click on the live stream and wait patiently as it buffers the content and runs the latest Aragato Kuwubara Commercial as you wait. Finally the video lstarts to play and we see Travis and Declan sat on a Sofa, travis in trademark Aviator Glasses and Leather Jacket, Declan Prescott in a freshly pressed Armani Suit…Jim hack sits just to the side, much of his appearance is cut off]
Jim Hack – “I think the most pressing question on everyone’s lips is, why did you align yourself with Declan Prescott and turn your back on the GIW fans who had started to support you so whole-heartedly?”
Travis- “That’s only a pressing question if your struggle to tie your own shoelaces. The man sitting beside the ‘Headliner’ is ‘The Heart and Soul of Global Impact Wrestling’, why wouldn’t Travis Roberts want to align himself with the very essence of this company? You all saw firsthand how important Declan Prescott is to GIW, in his absence the company fared well, but in too many areas it lacked style and substance. The return of ‘The Significant Player’ at Guerilla Warfare changed that, and ever since GIW has been the place to be…”
Jim Hack – “How about you Declan, what made you align with Travis, especially as you already had alliances with the remaining members of Global Domination, Donovan Hastings and Lord, Deathman?”
Declan – “Alliances are broken Jim, it happens. I thought it was pretty clear that my association with both of GIW’s Lord’s was convenient, nothing more, nothing less. It was clear that Global Domination was going nowhere without myself doing most of the work, and as you know, I have an entire company to run.
I want Global Impact Wrestling to be the number 1 company in the world, and to do that you need the most Iconic and charismatic athletes of a generation. Like myself, Travis Roberts falls into that category, and together we can lead a path for the rest of GIW to look towards for inspiration…”
Travis – “You know as well as we do Jim, that no-one comes close to either ‘The Significant Player’ and ‘The Blessed One’, in terms of being the complete package. Sure some of the guys out there have their skills, but none of them encompass the variety of excellence that ‘The Revolution’ demonstrates on a regular basis. Sure Brandon Brown’s resilient, and funny…but Travis Roberts has to wonder how Brandon deals with things when the serious business is called into play. Lord, Deathman is as big as they come, he’s as creepy as they come…but he’s not always the most observant of GIW’s stars, without ‘The Significant Players’ influence I wonder just how dominant he will be.
So it was simply always going to happen, from Day One, Travis Roberts and Declan Prescott were always destined to align, because no-one else in GIW can come close to the level of ability we possess…”
Declan – “Not to mention our captivating Charisma…”
Travis – “Nor our Killer fashion senses….”
Declan – “Dude you wear a Leather Jacket, in LA, in 100 degree heat…I wouldn’t be drawing people to comment on your dress sense if I were you…”
Travis – “Pfft, you just have a stick up your ass ‘cause you have to wear ‘respectable’ clothes for all those meetings with sponsors. Don’t go getting pissed at ‘The Blessed One’ because you chose the ‘Businessman Look’…Travis Roberts has never attempted to look ‘respectable’…”
Declan – “Tell me about it…”
Jim Hack – “If I could interrupt you both, I still have more questions to ask. Firstly, when did you make the Decision to join Declan, was it when you found you had lost the vote to Komosube? And now you are aligned, is Declan the Phase II you have spoken so much about in recent weeks…”
Travis – “Dude is everyone that watches the shows this monumentally retarded?”
Declan – “I’ve never really cared about their IQ’s, just the buy-rates…”
Travis – “Firstly Jim, no, ‘The Blessed One’ didn’t just make a spur of the moment decision at ‘In Your Hands’ and align with Declan. This was in the works for much longer than that. Does ‘The Blessed One’ look like he acts on impulse? Does Travis Roberts strike you as the kind of person that doesn’t carefully contemplate every move?
And for that matter, has ‘The Significant Player’ done anything to suggest he would choose to align with someone in a split second, without thinking through the business practicalities? The vote did not influence ‘The Blessed Ones’ actions in any way, this was always going to go down this way…”
Declan – “And yes Jim, I was Phase II…I gotta admit I thought that was pretty clear…even Brandon Brown followed that much…”
Jim Hack – “My apologies if I offended either of you. So when did you decide to ask Declan to join your ‘Revolution’ Travis?”
Travis – “Firstly this is not, Travis Roberts’ Revolutuion, this Revolution belongs to all of GIW, they will all feel the benefits of what is yet to come. And what makes you think ‘The Blessed One’ asked anything of the ‘Significant Player’, how do you know he didn’t send a Badger ‘The Headliners’ way begging to be a part of it…”
Declan – “Truth is, when I heard Dylan James was starting a Revolution and that Travis Roberts’ may also be a part of it…”
[Declan pauses for a second, looks seriously at Jim Hack who is attentively nodding and scribbling notes on a pad of paper and then he lets out a huge laugh, he looks at Travis]
Declan – “Dude, any chance we can stop jerking this around and get on with it? We’ve made idiots out of them all for long enough…”
Jim Hack – “So I take it you planned this together after Guerrilla Warfare…”
Travis – “Oh Jim, how ‘The Blessed One’ envies your ignorance, if Travis Roberts could spend his life, with such fluffy carefree musings, ‘The Headliner’ would probably be a lot more relaxed. But you see an operation on the scale of ‘The Revolution’ does not just happen overnight, it’s not just a scheme planned out on a whim like the New Resistance or Darkness Incarnate, this has been a meticulously planned project…”
Declan – “Would you really expect me to be involved in anything less?”
Travis – “Travis Roberts recalls Brandon Brown’s words after ‘In Your House’, and ‘The Headliner’ suspects never a truer statement has been uttered from his mouth than,‘Prescott and Roberts played us all’. You have no understanding of how true that is…”
Declan – “You see Jim, this wasn’t decided at Guerrilla Warfare, nor Toxic Intent….this was planned, from the very beginning. You see, I met with Travis Roberts at a charity function a few days before No Holds Barred. He wanted to make his glorious return to Sports Entertainment, and I was more than interested having him do it with GIW. Even from my hospital bed we communicated…and everything thus far has been part of the road to ‘The Revolution’”
Travis – “Travis Roberts was aware of everything the moment he walked into GIW’s corridors. Even Global Domination was set as part of our plan for the Revolution, we knew for it to be successful it had to have impact, how better than to have everything that has occurred during the past few months to center on ‘The Revolution’ itself…”
Declan – “You see whilst you all ran around, picking sides either for or against Global Domination, we laughed as we watched you dancing to our tune. Why do you think Travis Roberts did not align himself with Global Domination? Because we knew it would be a disaster, it was planned that way…”
Travis – “Sometimes ‘The Revolutionaries’ must created the environment for uprising…and you were all so ready for ‘The Blessed One’ to lead a revolution from below. But Travis Roberts has always been smarter than that, he has some knowledge of history…and knows well Revolution is easier when it comes from above…”
Declan – “We don’t expect the minds of your readers, or the members of the GIW Roster to fully comprehend what went down, but it was all engineered so that what went down at ‘In Your Hands’ happened…”
Jim Hack – “You cannot expect the world to believe you wanted Komosube as Global Champion, or that you didn’t want travis in that main event…”
Travis – “you have very little idea of how best to fulfil a Revolution Jim, that much is clear. Of course we wanted Komosube as Global Heavyweight Champion…why wouldn’t we? Try and see things from the standpoint of ‘The Revolution’. What good would it have done ‘The Blessed One’ to win the title under those circumstances? As a mystery opponent…Deathman and Brown would have had all the excuses they needed based on preparation time etc. Travis Roberts will be Global Heavyweight Champion, but no-one will have any excuses when it happens…”
Declan – “And we were never going to let Brandon brown continue to disgrace the Global Heavyweight Title, nor were we going to grant Lord, Deathman a second run with the title. You see, when ‘The Revolution’ finally grabs that prize, it needs to be from a Champion the world will consider worthy, a champion the world will consider a monster…”
Travis – “And who better than our ‘Puppet King’ Komosube. If you don’t think his ascension was planned by ‘The Revolution’ just take a look at the facts. Declan Prescott ordered Komosube to lay down to him so ‘The Significant Player’ was automatically entered into the vote. This was the riskiest part of the operation, we were relying on the general public being ignorant and naïve enough to believe that a man of Declan Prescott’s pedigree, would really be that stupid…
Honestly, you don’t think Travis Roberts and Declan Prescott didn’t see what happened coming? ‘The Revolution’ is more than aware of Komosube’s pride issues, he would never throw a match, it was always going to end with Komosube refusing…
But just to make sure you all bought it, we made Declan come to the ring wearing a suit. Ah the power of the suit…the buttons, the zipper, the jacket…they really do make it impossible to wrestle! We knew that that would convince anyone who was unsure that this was genuine…”
Declan – “And our hard work, and cunning disguises bared the fruits of our labour, as Komosubes popularity took a huge spike for standing up to his evil master and he went on to win the vote. Making it possible for us to install GIW’s first Puppet Champion…”
Travis – “’The Blessed One’ wonders how Komosube is feeling right now. The greatest night of his life, snatched away from him by ‘The Revolution’, Komosube knows that he is nothing more than a fake idol, he still has everything to prove. The fans may accept him as Global Heavyweight Champion…but Travis Roberts doubts very much that Komosube is proud of the way he attained it…”
Declan – “It’ll rip that monster in two…and I’m going to enjoy watching every moment of his descent into madness. And when he finally arrives at EI8HT, he will be so consumed by self-loathing, that he will destroy Brandon Brown just to prove he deserves to wear that belt…”
Jim Hack – “What about Lord, Deathman…Travis you will be facing him at EI8HT, how did that factor into your plans…”
Travis – “Deathman needed teaching a lesson, and the first part was dished out at ‘In Your Hands’. Travis Roberts noted a few weeks ago that Deathman is more of a liability to himself, than the all powerful monster he sees himself as. Sure he can do some intriguing magic tricks, but Travis Roberts stopped being impressed by Magicians after his Tenth Birthday party.
Deathman needed to realise that all he has accomplished in GIW, was given to him by Declan Prescott, that without ‘The Significant Player’, ‘The General of Destruction’ would never have held that Global Heavyweight Title…and it was time for him to realise his true place in the company….”
Declan – “Alas though, in this we may have failed. Did you see his comments yesterday…”
Travis - “Can’t say I did, I don’t have Crazy Madman Alerts sent to my blackberry…”
Declan – “Well it seems that ‘White out’ he took affected his memory. He seems to have forgotten what happened. Thinks you are gonna lash out against him…as if you have something to prove Travis? He didn’t seem to realise that we screwed him over…maybe the shock and trauma of the last moments of the match were too much for him, and his mind has developed temporary amnesia…”
Travis – “Travis Roberts can only imagine, bet he even congratulated Komosube, as if Komosube actually defeated him without any help…as if Komosube wanted congratulating after winning in such a shameful manner…”
Declan –“My friend, that is exactly what he did. He also made some comment about being more dangerous without the title…which shouldn’t be too difficult considering how unintimidating he was with it….”
Travis – “Was he also suggesting he should be facing Komosube rather than Brandon? Despite the fact he has lost two title matches in a row now?”
Declan – “Woah man, forget about Deathmans powers, you must be psychic…”
[Declan and Travis both start to laugh, each mans laugh seems to spur the other on to even more laughter, after a while they finally compose themselves]
Travis – “Lord, Deathman, if Travis Roberts were in your shoes, he’d spend less time dwelling in the past, which you display a frightening lack of knowledge of, and start looking towards the future. At EI8HT you have a chance to prove yourself as the Number One Contender, by facing ‘the headliner’ himself.
‘The Blessed One’ understands why you would want to protest that you should be number one contender, it makes perfect sense that you would try to face Komosube at EI8HT rather than Travis Roberts. In all your infinite power, you realise that if you do lose at EI8HT, it’s going to be a long time before you get a shot at that Title again…
You see Jim, this is also demonstrates our plan. When EI8HT draws to a close, and Travis Roberts heads to battleground as the Number 1 contender, finally the world will have been exposed to the fact that Lord, Deathman really isn’t that intimidating. It will be clear he was nothing more than another pawn in ‘The Revolutions’ plans….”
Declan – “Bear in mind that when all was done at ‘In Your House’ only Travis and I were happy…Komo, Brandon and Deathman all left feeling a little emptier inside…and I guarantee, it will be the same come the end of EI8HT…”
Jim Hack – “On that note I would like to end the interview by asking you how confident you are for the future…”
Travis – “Significantly”
[With that the streaming ends, and you check to see if that Gonzo Porn you were downloading is any good]
Jim Hack – “I think the most pressing question on everyone’s lips is, why did you align yourself with Declan Prescott and turn your back on the GIW fans who had started to support you so whole-heartedly?”
