Triple Threat Tag Match
Alex Kiseragi and Brandon Brown
vs.
Chris Austin and Randy Boolzian
vs.
Donovan Hastings and ‘Diamond’ Jack Severino
Referee: Owen Peterson
Winners: Chris Austin and Randy Boolzian
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The scene opens with a camera on Roxy Malone in a corridor in the back of the GiW arena. Her and the cameraman seem to be walking around as if they’re looking for someone, you can see she’s saying something to the guy filming her though you can’t hear it clearly as she’s not holding the mic up. As the pair turn a corner she seems to get excited and the camera pans up away from her for a second to look up the hall where we can see someone walking away, the wooden training sword they’re bouncing against their right shoulder a clear giveaway of who it is. The camera shakes and loses focus for a few seconds while the pair of them run to catch up with the superstar.
“Alex!” Roxy calls out and the Dragon looks back over his shoulder, turning around fully once he’s registered who’s there. A moment later the camera’s refocused as Roxy tries to start the interview.
“I’m here with Alex Kiseragi before his big match on Sentinel this week, just one week before going into the Battleground match at our upcoming Pay Per View. Alex, what’re your thoughts on your match this week?”
Alex looks like he’s about to speak but stops himself. Then again he opens his mouth but closes it again. He hesitates for a second, Roxy looking concerned that the interview isn’t going quite as she had hoped. Finally Alex reaches out to try to take the mic. “You know Roxy I think it may be easier if I just take this…” he holds it gently, waiting for her to let go which she grudgingly does. “…and you just, take a seat or something. Or stand there, it’s up to you.” he shrugs. Roxy looks slightly offended that she seems to be getting kicked out of her own piece but realises there’s nothing she can do about it and gives a dejected shrug as she steps back to the right out of the shot and the camera pans left slightly to centre on the man now holding the microphone.
“So, we’re just a week from Battleground and it looks like he have ourselves a little preview match. So, let me just address how things are going to go down.
Who first? Guess I’ll start off with Chris Austin. I’ve heard you used to be good. Got that long Hardcore title reign you’re always quick to tell people about. But remember this, you’re not as good as what you’ve done, you’re as good as what you’re doing, and you’re not doing much at all are you? Now I’ve heard a little rumour going around that you’re going back to your old ways. So, your answer to your loss of form is to focus less? Ya know it may just be me but I’m not seeing the logic in that. You’re lucky though, for two reasons. One, I’ve already pinned you, so I don’t feel like I have a lot to prove there. Two, brings us onto our next topic…
The Red Bull Icon Randy Boolzian, Mr. Undefeated. You know I’m going to give respect where it’s due. I’ve been on both sides of the ring with you and I know what the deal is. Shit, I saw your match last week, you’re as bad as they come. Just gotta ask yourself though. Can you carry that buddy of yours and still pick up the win?
Now, we’ve got ‘Lord’” Alex makes air quotes around the word. “Donovan Hastings. Well congratulations you finally won a match. Even if it did take a borderline transsexual with an attitude problem taking out three of your opponents for you for you to do it. Now I know what you’ll say,” Alex puts on a ridiculous high pitched whiney voice. “It’s the referee, Owen Peterson’s got it in for me.” His voice returns to normal. “Well ya know what? No he doesn’t. It’s in your head you crazy asshole, you just suck, stop making excuses and man up. You’re lucky though, for the same reason Chris Austin is, I already pinned you once, fair and square.
Your partner however…Diamond Jack Severino. Well done big man, you must be real proud of yourself, because you can go around and tell anyone you like that you’re the first person to pin The Dragon here in GiW. But unlike the guy you’re unlucky enough to be stuck with, I’m not going to make any excuses. Ok, you got me, straight up, 1, 2, 3. But what’s unfortunate for you is that means I’m left with something to prove and now you’re a marked man. You see this isn’t just going to be a preview because of who’s here, but how it’s going to go, and when you feels the Dragon’s Tail whip you upside that big square head of yours you’re going to know how it feels when I eliminate you from the Battleground.
I guess finally I should say a few words about my partner. The great Brandon Brown, GiW’s only two time Global Champion. Now what I have to say is probably not going to be necessary after last week but I’m going to say it anyway. You’d better have your shit together. If I hear you mumbling to yourself about that belt then I will happily slap the sense back into you personally because I’m not going to carry you.”
Finally Alex stops and lowers the mic, taking a deep breath and recomposing himself after the uncharacteristic outburst. He holds the mic out and Roxy reappears from out of shot to take it. Once it’s out of his hand Alex turns his back, giving a backhanded wave and walking off the way he had originally been going. Once he’s out of earshot the microphone just picks up her words.
“What’s up with him?”
