Still haven't made a Declan CAW. I will get to it eventually haha. I was shocked that Roberts has short how now. *gasp*
Anyway, I have a bit of a conundrum - as I suspected before I bought the game, Universe mode really sucks this time around. The rivalry manager is a good idea in theory, as you can set up feuds between exactly who you want, but the execution is exactly what I feared. There seem to be NO rivalries happening outside the rivalry manager. The game won't create any feuds organically itself. It'll still give you cut scenes outside of preset rivalries, but they don't go anywhere. The next week there won't be any follow up at all. This is a problem for two reasons:
1) Each show can only have 3 rivalries. So even if you have 2 shows (6 rivalries total), you're never going to have enough rivalries going to cover every PPV match (PPVs have 8 matches). So there'll always be some crappy filler matches.
2) The rivalries you do set are terrible. The same 3 or 4 generic storylines seem to play out in every rivalry and most rivalries are just a constant stream of singles matches between the two wrestlers involved. They'll have wrestled 3-4 times already before you get to the first PPV in the feud. Horrible.
I do want to get back to uploading videos (I won't blame you if you don't believe that at this point), but do I use '13 or 2K14? I like 2K14 because you can actually use alt. attires in Universe and you can have KOTR PPVs, not to mention the fact that Travis has uploaded a bunch of more CAWs and it's great having someone else's take on characters. But '13 has the benefit of a) I already have about 40 CAWs on that game and b) even though I can only control the feuds indirectly (setting allies, rivals, etc.), the game consistently has every match on the card revolving around a feud. There's a lot more storytelling going on in '13, even if it is a bit random at times.
So at this point I'm thinking I stick with '13 in order to make the vids. Am I missing anything here that should compel me to use 2K14 instead?
And to answer your question JK: yes, you should.
20/10/2010 The day open mindedness returned to UGWC. Lest we forget.

So what you are saying is that it is accurate to the current WWE product.

Sounds about right.

Since I returned, I decided to make Ezekiel in WWE 14. The Universe Mode is kind of shitty. The rivalry's get boring and I haven't noticed any new cutscenes yet. I marked out after downloading the extra move pack because they added in some cool moves but for the most part it's WWE 13. Like Travis said, the Wrestlemania Mode was cool to a point. They skipped some main events, besides the one with Benoit it, and it got tiresome playing as Cena.
