Aside from the ass-cension, I was good to go. However, the crowd hated roman. I don't blame them. Bryan went out way to early and ziggler got fucked hard. Rusev was the saving grace but no. Let's stick to the shitty plan.
Vince and Hhh feel like the Colonel from the A Team. They love it when a plan comes together. Fucking assholes.
...or they can make sure a third of the way in that they eliminate any possible suspense and make it extremely predictable.
I wonder if they knew the crowd would shit on Reigns winning after Bryan was eliminated, so they had the elimination come early in the hopes that there was time left to turn the crowd around, and thought that having Rock involved in the finish would seal it. Not so much.
Also, the commentary during the Rumble was particularly bad. Stardust enters and they rave about how it is his "debut" and then minutes later refer to his interactions with his brother in the previous year's rumble. Cole quickly tried to cover it up by referring to it as an alternate universe. There was another comment that irked me, but I can't remember what it was, and it's probably better that way.
It's amusing that no one even considers the possibility of Lesnar.... oh, I dunno....signing a new contract?
He's got a great thing going, he makes sporadic appearances, gets paid like seven figures, and is treated like a deity. Why wouldn't he want to keep that gravy train rolling? The WWE has obviously invested a shit ton in him, so why wouldn't they want him to stay?
I just don't understand why everyone everywhere sees it as a foregone conclusion that he's done after Mania.

I remembered.
When the Rock showed up, Cole was stunned, and commented that there were rumors he was in town. Yet the very last thing they did on the pre-show was show a picture of him standing at ringside, letting you know he was in the arena.

Think the continuity agent has been hanging around the writing staff too long?

*wicked smiles* The Brock vs Roman match will need a mortician ringside, rated R advisory, and for small children to leave the room.
Considering Lesnar's contract is up at Wrestlmania, I doubt it, but nice try.
Best you can hope for is Seth cashes in. Either way, I win!!!!
I don't think it's that they hate Reigns, I think it's that the crowd is tired of having WWE "Creative" ignore what they want and dictate who the ones they "should cheer" are. I have no issue with Reigns, but seriously, follow the crowd reactions and acknowledge that you give a shit what they think. I like that they gave Wyatt a great showing, that was a good idea. Have the final four be him, Bryan, Reigns and Ziggler (he gets incredible reactions) and have Rusev (who bores the hell out of me personally, but I find that gimmick to be tired) be #5. Eliminate them as Rusev (by Reigns), Zigger (by Wyatt), Wyatt (by Bryan) and then if you must go with Reigns, have the two slug it out for a good ten minutes before Reigns finally tosses him out. Sure, the fans would have booed it, but it would have been far less of a middle finger to the audience (who want Bryan) and it would have been less detrimental to Reigns.
At least Reigns acknowledged it quickly instead of ignoring the reaction for two weeks before telling the fans to blow it out of their collective asses.

WWE bought a lot of this on themselves and they planted the seeds 12 months ago.
When they changed their plans in the face of the vocally disappointed fans after Batista's Rumble win, Punks departure and the rise of the 'Yes movement' they set a precedent. They have also acknowledged publicly that they changed their plans because they listened to the fans, Bleacher Report had a whole article and interview where Steph spelled that out like a week or so ago.
I don't know how far in advance they book the Royal Rumble venue, but I'm pretty sure that they don't do it a year in advance like WM. So whoever decided, 12 months after the Bootista end to the Rumble, that this years event should be held in another vocal and 'smart' city like Philly needs to be fired. It's also incredibly inane that they didn't take this into account when booking the Rumble match.
As for Reigns, I'm not sold on him at all, and I truly think that him beating Brock will be a waste to what should be a monumental achievement. That's not even a dig at his skill or potential, I'm not sure he's ready to carry what will come with it psychologically.
Having said that, if anyone really believed there was going to be any other result was fooling themselves or a child who still believes anything can happen. Reigns win has been telegraphed for weeks, arguably months. Hell rumours were out there the day after WM XXX that it was gonna be Roman vs Brock at WM, it was always going to be this way.
I can see why they did it, the reactions on shows are not reflective of the entire customer base of this business, and that's what it is, a business. Like it or not the money is not with the smart fans who turn up to be 'ironic', it's in the families and the casual viewers. They clearly feel Reigns has the mainstream appeal, a friend of mine who's been wrestling close to 2 decades now put it this way, the mainstream crowd (a big target audience for WrestleMania) won't buy Borck vs Bryan, but they will Reigns. It's a shallow simplistic way of looking at it, but it's hard to argue. Those who need convincing to buy WrestleMania don't give two shits about work rate and in-ring ability. They purchase the spectacle.
Also, people wanting Bryan to win need to consider a few things. He's just come from a neck injury that was complicated and almost career threatening, I'd have thought only those who hated him would want him in a ring with Brock so soon after as that guys stiff as fuck. And secondly, we had the DB is underdog story last year, I'm not sure we need it again. And if not Bryan, the only other guy, bar Cena, who might have a shot of Mainstream exposure the WWE looks for for WM (especially if The Rock keeps the family connection rub going) is Reigns.
Having said all that, as Ad points out it was uber lazy booking and they brought thee reaction upon themselves.
But then what do I know, I personally think they have used Lesnar perfectly since WrestleMania and that the Title actually means something despite it's lack of screen time now, and I sense that's a minority opinion.
