- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
The show starts off red hot with the fans giving a resounding welcome to Alx Kiseragi as he makes his first entrance for a match under the UGWC umbrella in 8 years. The camera’s fixate on numerous homemade signs celebrating the occasion as ‘Teahouse’ blasts across the arena. Alex cannot hide the smile on his face as he slaps the hands of the fans on his way to the ring. He jumps through the ropes, rolls and then climbs the turnbuckle and then remains there taking in the thousands of fans chanting ‘Welcome Back!’ When he drops off the turnbuckle he lowers his head and turns from the camera apparently to hide the overwhelming emotions that would be visible to the world otherwise.
He cannot hide his emotions when Travis Pierce’s music hits and the crowd’s attitude turns on a dime, Kiseragi unable to stop himself laughing at the sheer pantomime that can only be found in this industry. From the reaction of the crowd you would think Pierce had punched every audience members closest loved ones in the face, and ‘The Icon of Entertainment’ revels in it. He tells the camera that if they think this is loud just wait until he spoils this homecoming party in a few moments time.
The bell rings and as it does Alex ofers out his hand to Pierce, who looks at it as if it were covered in the contents of Blessed Vanity’s RV toilet. Covert Jay says it’s great to see that Alex is still an honorable Ninja. Lieberjosch remarks that it's good to see that even after close to a decade that Alex is still a naive fool, and reminds the world that Pierce always fiercely disliked Kiseragi and was never going to volunteer to be part of the Welcome Home Brigade.
When the action finally gets underway despite a lot of effort and a lot of attempts at kicks, it is clear that Kiseragiis somewhat off the pace. Pierce manages to dodge everything Alex throws at him, and patiently waits for an opportunity to strike, and when he does he hits a clothesline that sends Alex over the ropes and lands him on his backside outside. At this point Hans mentions that one match in an Indy Fed, and one that isn’t directly affiliated with UGWC to boot, was never going to be enough to shake off the ring rust and be able to step toe to toe with the UGWC athletes.
Pierce stands in the ring taunting Alex and the fans asking if this was really worth all the hype that came before it. Alex smiles and nods acknowledgement at pierce’s upperhand, dusts himself down and rolls back into the ring. This time he tries a different approach and locks up with the Alpha Travis, but again he finds himself losing the upper hand as Pierce manages to reverse every hold that Kiseragi attempts, before breaking out of his grasp and sending him over the top to the outside again with a dropkick.
This time Kis springs to his feet quickly, smiles and shakes his head once more and rolls back in the ring and decides to attack Pierce with speed this time and charges towards him, but Pierce manages to sidestep him, and then grab him and send him into the corner. When Pierce follows him in Kis manages to jump over and behind him, landing on his feet. He then charges at the turning Travis, but one again his opponent gets out of the way by rolling underneath him, but Kis jumps onto the second rope and then springs off, rotating round into a flying crossbody, which Travis Pierce catches and turns into a hard bodyslam. He then pulls Kiseragi onto his feet and tosses him out of the ring onto his backside once more.
Pierce now doubles over in exaggerated laughter, pointing at Kiseragi on the floor and playing to the fans in the arena who are showering him with abuse. Alex does not get to his feet immediately, and there are no smiles as he slams the arena floor either side of himself with the palms of his hands before getting to his feet slowly. As he does a small section of the crowd stops booing Pierce and starts a barely audible chant. Kiseragi stands up and slaps the canvas in rhythm with the chant as it grows louder, as it does the harder he slaps the canvas, until the entire crowd can be heard chanting ‘LIGHT HIM UP DRAGON! LIGHT HIM UP!’
When he climbs back into the ring there is once again a smile on his face, but this one makes Pierce uncomfortable as Kis just stands in front of him and beckons him to make the first move this time. The crowd continue to chant for Alex and for the first time in the match Pierce briefly looks somewhat unsure of himself, looking from the crowd to the smirking Alex, before narrowing his eyes and throwing a right at Alex. Kisderagi brushes the attempt away, as he does the next several strike attempts before ducking under a lariat attempt and hitting Rolling Wheel Kick which sends Pierce down in the corner.
Alex rolls into the opposite corner and clutches onto the middle two ropes as he squats rocking slightly and waits, the crowd shaking the building, Pierce starts to climb to his feet and Kiseragi lets go of the ropes and runs across the ring…
Covert Jay: DDDDRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOONNNN!!!!!!!!!
...and hits the Yari Kick as the crowd erupt! He then makes the cover and gets his first victory in a UGWC ring since 2012
Winner: Alex Kiseragi

Backstage, Sarah Lacklan knocks at the door of the Creative Director.
This hodge-podge of cooperation all make their way to the ring, with ‘The Number One Hitmaker’ Johnny Bonecrusher accompanying Kenzi Grey. Alice Nasmith begins going over the rules of the match, as Johnny begins shouting over her that she’s doing it wrong. It’s to be noted that the announce booth is likely a whole less chatty for this match, as Covert Jay is nowhere to be found. My sources tell me that, after seeing A-Kis in action mere moments ago, Jay was feeling lightheaded and had to go lay down.
Bell rings and Rydell shoves past THE World Champion, walking towards the center of the ring. He motions for Kenzi to come take her ass whipping, and she responds by connecting with a superkick (eye poke). She grabs the arm of Dave and attempts to whip him towards the ropes, but he reverses, and sends Kenzi crashing to the mat with a shoulder block upon her return. Kenzi quickly back up, but a boot to the midsection doubles her over, and then Dave sends her back to the mat with a swinging neckbreaker. He makes the cover, making sure to grind his forearm into the side of Kenzi’s face, but she gets her shoulder up at one.
Dave grabs Kenzi by the hair and jerks her to her feet, and then sends her into the ropes with a European Uppercut. He returns the eye poke, and then grabs her and sends her into the air with a monkey flip. Kenzi is able to rotate through though, and lands on her feet. She takes off across the ring and bounces off the ropes, speeding towards Dave as he gets back to his feet and turns towards her. She just into the air with a crossbody, but Rydell catches her in mid-air. He drops her across his knee with a backbreaker, before rising back to his feet and tossing her overhead with a fallaway slam. He makes the cover, but JBC is able to drape the foot of Kenzi over the bottom rope out of view of Alice Nasmith, and she calls for the break at two.
Rydell back to his feet and pulling Kenzi to hers, positioning himself in behind of her for a possible German suplex attempt. Johnny hops up onto the ring apron, diverting Alice’s attention long enough for Kenzi to connect with a back-kick low blow, before sending Dave face-first into the mat with a bulldog. Kenzi with the cover as Johnny hops back down to the floor, but Dave kicks out at two.
Tempest calling for the tag, and after a moment of thinking about it, Kenzi tags out to the native of Gnaw Bone, Indiana. With Ny-Otep and Daedalus watching from their positions on the floor, Tempest hits the ring like a ball of fire, sending Rydell to the mat with a spinning heel kick. As Dave gets back to a vertical base, his legs are taken out by a basement dropkick, his face hitting the mat hard. As Rydell unsteadily gets back to his feet, Tempest springboards off the middle rope and connects with a cutter. He makes the cover, but Sarah enters the ring and connects with a stomp to the back of his head, breaking the count at two-and-a-half.
Tempest pulls Rydell to his feet and hoists him up onto his shoulders, but Dave is able to wiggle free of his grip, and lands behind him. He shows Tempest forward a few steps, and as he turns back towards him, Dave connects with a well-placed superkick that may or may not have knocked a tooth into the third row. Or spit. Who’s to say? Rydell still shaking out the cobwebs from that cutter when Sarah leans over the top rope and tags herself into the match, earning a hateful glare from the number-one contender to THE World Championship.
Sarah over to the still-downed Tempest and mounts him, raining down elbow strikes as Tempest does his best to cover up. Getting to her feet and pulling him to hers, she Irish whips him across the ring, sending him to the mat with a drop toe hold. As Tempest holds his face, Sarah is quickly back to her feet and coming off the near ropes, connecting with an elbow drop to the back of his head. She rolls him over and goes for the pin, but Tempest gets his shoulder up at two.
Sarah connects with a dropkick to the knees of Tempest as he tries getting to his feet, and then she begins connecting with multiple stomps to his legs and knees. Dropping to the mat she applies a kneebar in the center of the ring, and Tempest is in major pain as he grabs at his knee. He attempts to drag himself to the ropes, but just before he gets to them, Sarah releases the hold and gets to her feet. She drags him back to the center of the ring, and then quickly reapplies the kneebar. Out on the floor Daedalus is seen saying something to Ny-Otep, who then hops up onto the ring apron. Alice gets to her feet and makes her way over towards him, where she is instructing him to get down. While she is busy administering a five-count to Ny-Otep, Tempest looks to tap out, but there is no official to see the act. Sarah then releases the hold, walking over towards the six-foot, ten-inch monster, as he simply hops back down to the floor.
Sarah turns her attention back towards Tempest, as he struggles to get off the mat. Up to his hands and knees, Sarah takes off towards him, nearly taking his head off with the Mark of Cain. She’s quickly back to her feet, but before she can go for the pin, Dave Rydell slaps her on the back, tagging himself back into the match.
Rydell waits for Tempest to get to his feet, and then connects with an After Shock. The force of the move knocks Tempest back into the ropes, but he is able to wobbily stay up on a vertical base. It doesn’t last long though, as Rydell connects with a kick to the stomach of Dave, followed up by a DDT. He makes the cover and hooks the leg, but Tempest kicks out at two-and-three-quarters. Not sure how he did it. Kenzi isn’t either, but she still connects with a kick to the face of Dave for good measure. Kenzi back out on the ring apron, with Dave making his way towards her and throwing a stiff right hand at her that she barely avoids as she hops down to the floor. Dave has something to say to Kenzi, Daedalus, Ny-Otep, as well as three or four members of the crowd in the first row. When he finally turns back around, Tempest is not only back to his feet, but is barrelling towards him. Big boot connects to the jaw of Dave, and then Tempest lifts Dave up onto his shoulders. Rolling Death Valley Driver drives the air out of Dave, and Tempest then climbs to the top rope. Frog splash finds its mark, with Tempest hooking the leg, but Dave somehow manages to kick out just before the three. Probably good, as this time around, Sarah didn’t bother moving from her spot out on the ring apron.
Both men down on the mat as Alice Nasmith begins the mandatory ten-count. Both are to their feet when she gets to eight, with Rydell turning and tagging Sarah into the match. With a right hand. To her face. Rydell then slides out of the ring, leaving Sarah seething as she steps through the ropes. She looks across the ring in time to see Tempest tag in Kenzi. Kenzi with a grin as she enters the ring, but Sarah turns and looks to tag out to Dave. He simply leans against the guardrail though and waves at her, before giving her the finger and telling her to do her job. Sarah turns back around only for Kenzi to say she’s Better Than You, as she connects with a supergirl punch to the jaw of her beloved. Sarah hits the mat and Kenzi immediately goes for a cover, but Sarah reaches out and grabs the bottom rope, breaking the attempt.
Both women get to their feet, simply staring at one another, as Rydell hops back up onto the ring apron. The two women begin arguing, but just when it looks like they might come to blows, Sarah turns around and slaps Dave across the face. She slides out of the ring, as Johnny hops back up onto the ring apron. Dave sends him back to the floor with a stiff right hand, and then connects with a shoulder block through the ropes as Kenzi moves towards him. Dave slingshots himself into the ring, rolling Kenzi up with a sunset flip, but Kenzi rolls her shoulder off the mat at two.
JBC back up on the ring apron now, as Rydell moves towards Kenzi. With Nasmith trying to get JBC off the apron, Tempest enters the ring and moves him behind Dave. Temptest grabs Dave and lifts him into the air, dropping him face-first into the middle turnbuckle with a Boomstick. Rydell very unsteady as he tries getting back to his feet. Tempest slides out of the ring as Dave falls to his hands and knees, and JBC hops back down to the floor. Kenzi sees her opening and hits the Walk of Fame, and gets the three-count.

Vinegar and Lieberjosch talk about the size, weight and experience difference and how it all might affect Sloane’s ability to win the match. Jay talks about Doritos. Because Jay. Sloane and Hastings walk to center ring and lock up. Hastings immediately shoves Sloane away, which brings the commentary about the size and weight difference to mind. Sloane stands up and shakes her head, then charges at Hastings. She acts like she’s going for a lockup, but rolls past him and goes for a quick roll up, but only gets a one and a half before Hastings kicks out. She goes for another quick pin, but Hastings kicks out quickly. She goes for an elbow drop, but Hastings rolls out of the way and pops up to his feet. She looks at him irritably but quickly smiles.
The two finally lock up. Sloane quickly swings around to the back to go for a German suplex, but Hastings drops his weight. She punches him in the back of his head, then connects with a chop block that drops him to one knee. She follows up with a DDT, an elbow drop to the back of his head and a basement dropkick. She waits for him to get to his feet and connects with a spinning heel kick, then another elbow drop. She leaps up onto the turnbuckle and comes off for a flying elbow, but Hastings moves, then flattens her with a spear when she staggers to her feet. From this point Hastings takes over and slowly wears Sloane out with a selection of suplexes, a reciprocal DDT and finishes the combo off with a fireman’s carry into a facebuster. He goes for a cover, but she kicks out at two point five.
Hastings hauls her up and goes for Destiny’s Call, but she floats off and behind and hits a neckbreaker. Hastings tries to get back to his feet, but she puts him back down with Seeing Stars. She gets a two count before Hastings kicks out. She pleads with Chartreuse, but he shakes her off and insists it was a two.
Sloane turns back to the rising Hastings and takes a swing at him, but he sidesteps it and lifts her into a full nelson slam. Hastings shakes off the cobwebs and comes off the ropes as Sloane is trying to get up, but she springs to her feet and catches him in the Silver Lining! Both competitors are down as Hazel East starts the ten count. She reaches six as both begin to stir, but suddenly the Chimera interrupts!
UGWC Anniversary Flashback of the Week: The Human Resources Department hosts The Piercing Truth LIVE!
Backstage, Roxy Malone gets a reaction on the Chimera's reveal.
Yamasaki makes his way to the ring first, accompanied as ever by Johnny Bonecrusher. Sebastian Everett-Bryce III enters next. He and Bonecrusher stand in the ring seemingly making last minute preparations. The Cooperative Champions enter together. The arrogance is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Roberts and Wallace play rock-paper-scissors to start first. Rock beats paper and Travis enters the ring. SEB climbs in the opposite corner. The bell rings and Hide immediately slaps SEB on the back and climbs in. SEB looks out at Bonecrusher who just shrugs apologetically and SEB climbs out to the apron. Hide rushes Travis and hits him with a barrage of strikes. Travis retreats and scrambles out of the ring. Hide immediately turns on Alan who drops off the apron to check on his partner. The two confer while looking up at Hide prowling the ring like an animal. Travis gets up on the apron and insists Sam Green hold Hide back as he enters. On Bonecrusher's command Hide backs off until one of Travis' feet touches the inside of the ring then rushes past the referee and lands more strikes before Travis can drop back out to the floor. The crowd start to boo at the lack of proper action. Travis and Alan yell at Bonecrusher to keep his animal under control. The cycle repeats with Sam Green trying to hold Hide back so Travis can enter only for Deathwish to get past him and attack Travis again. Travis drops to the floor a third time. This time Hide follows. Travis runs around the corner of the ring, Hide in pursuit and slides into the ring. As Hide follows and gets to his feet, Wallace springboards into the ring and hits a dropkick to the running Hide. Yamasaki tries to get straight up, only to get knocked back down by Roberts with a low clothesline. Roberts goess for a cover and Yamasaki kicks out before even a one count. Wallace is still in the ring however and puts boots to Hide, stopping him getting to his feet. Travis gets up and joins him, the two stomping Hide's legs. Sam Green forces Wallace back out onto the apron, only for Travis to tag him in and the two person stomp down continues until Travis is removed.
Wallace puts Hide's leg on the bottom rope then does that thing where you bounce and drop your ass on their knee. Hide rolls over and Wallace grabs him by the foot and slams the knee down onto the mat. Wallace steps around to Hide's head but Deathwish shoves him back. Wallace comes back in and Hide grabs him by the leg. Wallace stumbles over Hide's back and Deathwish tries to left him up from the floor. He manages it and drops Wallace with a samoan drop. Hide gets to his feet though his legs are clearly bothering him. SEB waves his hand around for a tag but gets ignored. SEB and Bonecrusher seem to argue on the outside while Hide helps Wallace to his feet. He whips him to the ropes and hits him with a spinning back fist on the rebound. SEB moves around the apron and reaches over to tag himself in. Hide and SEB have a confused argument through an impenetrable language barrier until Bonecrusher intervenes and gets Hide to step out. The distraction is enough time for Wallace to make a tag and Roberts enters.
Roberts and SEB meet in the centre of the ring with SEB challenging Roberts to a test of strength. The two lock up. Roberts uses his height advantage to force SEB to one knee but the Chelsea Crippler breaks one hand free and ducks under Roberts arm, pulling him into a hammerlock, maintaining the hold as he hits a back suplex. He quickly transitions into a shoulder lock on the grounded Roberts. The hold gets broken as Wallace steps into the ring and kicks SEB in the back. The referee sees Wallace back to the apron. SEB pulls Roberts to his feet then sends him across the ring with a releasing overhead suplex. SEB makes a show of tagging Hide in, even holding the ropes open for him before climbing out.
Roberts tries to get up only for Hide to pull him into a gut wrench powerbomb that gets a two count. Hide considers continuing the assault but instead turns and makes a slightly awkward tag, as if the concept feels strange to him. He holds Roberts open so SEB can land a kick to his exposed abdomen. SEB hits a northern lights suplex, bringing into a pin for another two count. Hide and SEB start to work surprisingly well together, landing one or two moves, followed by a tag and a double team move. This repeats several times, keeping Roberts isolated and beaten down. SEB eventually hits a Full Platter and Roberts only avoids being pinned by Wallace breaking the count.
SEB taunts Wallace as Sam Green escorts him back to the apron once again. When he turns back Roberts rolls him up with a small package and gets a sneaky two count. When SEB kicks out Roberts scrambles for Wallace's outstretched hand. They swipe for each other but don't appear to make contact. Wallace storms the ring regardless. He first levels SEB with a clothesline, then knocks Hide off the apron with a running forearm. He turns back and hits SEB with a Curtain Call and makes the cover but Sam Green refuses to make the count, claiming Wallace isn't the legal man. Wallace argues that he and Roberts touched fingertips. Before the argument can be resolved Hide has slid back into the ring and hit Wallace from behind. All sense of order breaks down as the referee tires to separate Wallace and Hide who are now brawling in the middle of the ring. Roberts and SEB each pull themselves back to their feet in opposite corners.
Wallace and Hide brawl their way into a corner while Roberts and SEB meet in the middle of the ring. What follows is a tense sequence of blocks and counters as each man looks for a big finish. It ends when Roberts manages to hit with the White Out. Wallace sees what has happened and charges Hide, hitting him with a clothesline that carries both men over the top rope and out to the floor. With them gone Sam Green turns his attention back to the legal men in time for Roberts to make the cover for the three count.

Donovan Hastings vs Sloane Taylor

Backstage, Roxy Malone gets a reaction on the Chimera's reveal.
Alan Wallace and Travis Roberts vs Hide Yamazaki and Sebastian Everett-Bryce III
