I enjoyed it front to back. A lot went on in this weeks show (7 contritibuters!), and it really hit the new year running. The Global Challenge comes out looking really like somthing worth fighting for. Hastings has certainly began his reign in memorable fashion, and we saw the departure of one and return (hopefully) of another GIW alumni.
Hanson was all over the place, but should fit what he's been going though I'd guess.
And the Moss cameo. Well it was a Moss cameo, and now I'd kill for a Moss return so he and I can end that fued proper like.

That was a truly loaded show from start to finish. I thought it flowed really well too and that Hanson's commentary (or lack of at points in the show) really worked well considering his court case.
I have to say Rob, you pretty much nailed Dirge's reactions in that end segment and I loved the way you wrapped it up....ending a rant about how long winded he is with him just saying "I accept" after laying the former Champion out. Classic.
Why choose a lesser evil, folks? Dirge. Presidential candidate of the future.

Normally, Ichy, I'd agree with you about #1, but I'm pretty sure the RPers were aware of the plan prior to their RPs (R!, correct me if I'm wrong). I think that makes it a different circumstance.
As for #2, I'm not quite sure where you're coming from...Donovan is the new champ, Raenius is his #1 contender, Dirge has a title shot anytime he wants one and made it clear Donovan was his target, and Travis just lost the title after essentially holding it for a year, so of course he is going to have some involvement on the first show after that...these four interacting feels to me like a very natural progression of the story.

Hmm... well, I've been led to believe (i could be mistaken) that R! wasn't in on the proceedings, and for that reason it would be a no-no. But I'd have had some action at least. Having the most important match of the night interrupted for talking is just too WWE for me. I'm sure you understand.
Let me restate what I meant by 2. For a while we've seen all four battle back and forth, they've pretty much been the top four draws over the last few months. New Year, I thought things would get shaken up a bit, especially after the feel I got from Robert's rp this week. I had a feeling Raenius and Hastings would spend a while focused on each other, that Dirge's feud with him would come later (he gets the shot anytime in the year), and that Hastings was moving on to other plans, whatever they may be. As natural as the proceedings may be, I just misinterpreted a few people's words or intentions.
It's not a huge deal, the four of you guys are pretty much the main event in GIW and it makes sense for the top storyline to involve all four, I guess, like I said, I just misinterpreted a couple of intentions.

I had no idea that the main event was to go down like that. Kinda made me pissed off that I rushed an rp out for something my character wasn't even really involved in.

R! I honestly thought I'd let you in on the plans, so that is my fault entirely, no excuses bar the brain fart. Look at it this way though, you rushed a post out because your the number 1 contender for the Unified Global Championship, and as such to make sure the feud for that title is worthy of Main Event status at the next PPV, ya need to RP when ya can. Are you saying knowing the way things were going down would have meant you wouldn't have posted? If so, I actually think it worked out best you didn't know, even if it did piss ya off somewhat (which wasn't my intention)
As for the Covenant/ Trob/Hastings thing, nothing has ever really happened of significance. Sure we had a tag match at Distant Whispers, but for most of that Dirge was out of the picture storyline wise. Also the main focus for Donny and myself were not The Covenant over the last months of 2010, it was one another and Horizons.
Travis only ever dismissed The Covenant whilst Champion, and has shifted his views now, giving R! And especially Ad a lot more material to work with, and a worth while feud.
And the way the main event went down was for entertainment sake, I've said it before and I'll say it again, if what people are interested in is Wins and Losses etc, they're in the wrong place. I try my hardest to take everyone on a journey, that occasionally has some surprises. Personally I thoughtt he end of the show was perfect for the first show back and sets up the first PPV of the year well, which is all this show should have been about.
And whilst I do like constructive criticism, it would be nice if people could find some good points to go along with it.
I honestly thought this was one of the best sentinels we have put on in recent memory, it wasn't just a succession of generic style matches with a few segments from Ichy and Brit being the only things that made it resemble an actual wrestling show, it actually felt like a show. Sure the main event may have been a bait and switch with a bit of WWE style promoing at the end of it, but given that I can't remember the last time anything like that happened here I thought it would be interesting and different, and wouldn't be viewed negatively.
Kinda makes me wonder whether we should go back to shoddy half assed shows, as there doesn't seem to be that much difference in the reception of the two.
Hanson: "May Roberts' soul go to a better place, free of chunky Asians, who do flips."
Oh don't get me wrong, it's not about the W's and L's. It's ALL about the story. But there is still that competitive edge. It doesn't matter to me if I win at something or lose at something here (mind you, that's as long as its for fair reasons) but after all, it is still wrestling... and further, it's e-wrestling. My creed forever more stands that the match reflects the rps. Brain fart aside (it happens) even if all four men agreed to suspend the main event and talk, I'd have been a bit disappointed. Some action, any at all, would supplant this dissatisfaction. Especially when I see so many no shows' characters get a good two or three minutes of actual offense before losing. It's just... out of balance, ya know?
That being said, you are right, Rob, I have done little more than negative feedback the last two days, and I confess that's for being rushed for time. I read the show (entirely, who does that anymore?) one night and did feedback the next day, so. I do try to take the time to read all rps, and the show in full, and if you look at teh rp feedback, there's a lot of good supportive comments there from me. So I dont' always have a negative outlook, I don't think.
Then again, maybe I think well of you and your skills and I'm holding you to a really high standard :-D

I gotta agree with T-Rob on this, in recent memory this has been one of the best Sentinels we have ever EVER put on (or at least within my career here). the segements were astounding and left me wanting more and more of em, and the different Hanson reactions to his court case were bloody marvelous (Pardon the language if that offends you.....some got offended by our 'where the bloody hell are ya' tourism campaign a few years back so better to be safe than sorry). I loved the way the M.E. turned out as well, namely because it was different to how the show is usually run.....I think the last time there was a more promo like main event was where Killswitch got killed by half the roster.
I tip my hat to all of those who worked in this brilliant show.
