With the family growing, I feel this would be a good time to get to know those members of UGWC who you haven't worked with before.
I'm Brandon, aka Ichabod. I roleplay as Jet Somers.
I was a member of GIW for seven months before it's acquisition. Prior to that is an 11 year legacy built mostly as one character (not Jet), with a few minor attempts to seek out new ones, in the world of ewrestling. I have also served 10 of those years as a fedhead in one form or another.
Ewrestling appeals to me first as an outlet for writing, which is an old hobby of mine. Secondly it appeals to my hunger for challenge, and my enjoyment of entertaining. I live for feedback, and I'm not shy about giving it. I respect anyone who has put in the time and effort to produce something creative and has the balls to post it in an open forum as part of a semi-formal contest, but I am quick to criticize as well, although it's always with a good intention.
In real life, I'm a geek in nearly every sense of the word. I go to sci-fi conventions, I play a few videogames religiously, I love horror, westerns, and feudal Japan. Mostly I love gaming, in almost any form, from card games, to roleplaying games, to board games, to trivia games. Again, that hunger for a challenge.
I manage a restaurant full-time, if you wonder what I do, heh.
I'm a fan of both world culture and history, and you'll see this love sneak into my roleplays a lot.
I LOVE working with other people in ewrestling. Even if he was an undeniable winner at every match, even if every soul in the federation took time to gloriously feedback my work, it would mean nothing if my character wasn't involved with a large portion of the roster. Don't be surprised if you get a PM from me soon asking if you want to be a part of some zany idea I have. Furthermore, if you ever have something you want to work my character into, feel free to drop me a line. Even if it's not something I am wholehearted about, I like to find ways to incorporate your ideas into my plans.
That being said, I also consider myself a prime sounding board. With so many years behind me in this game, I feel like I've seen and heard it all, I know what works and what doesn't (although I'm always open to anyone who wants to try and surprise me). Even if it has nothing to do with my character, feel free to contact me for ideas. Maybe you've been building an interesting storyline but don't know where it should go next. Maybe you've gotten stale and run out of ideas or feel you are becoming a cookie cutter character. Maybe you just want to figure out a way to incorporate something in the perfect way or want to get at someone you haven't been able to challenge so far. I'm your guy.
But I'm only your idea guy. I'm not admin, my decisions are not final. That concludes this disclaimer.
So, in short, I'm just a huge fan of this game (although not real wrestling, oddly), who loves and respects almost all it's members. I treat my fedmates like family, so if you've known me for years, if you only know me as Jet, or if this is your first time ever seeing me post, welcome, friend, don't be shy, pull up a chair and let's talk.
