In a display of The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition’s commitment to being the Industry’s most forward thinking and innovative brand, a decision has been made that could change the way Sports Entertainment evolves in the future.
During the many months of preparation for the launch of The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition, we recognised that the current business model every sports entertainment brand follows is severely outdated and does not allow for the many vast changes in the world over the past decade or so.
On realising the weakness in the standard model followed by the industry, we at The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition made it our goal to be the most relevant and modern brand in the sector today. We have a business plan the ensures the success and security of this brand overcoming years of inevitable change.
To prove our determination to forge our own path and become the new model for the industry, we at The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition are proud to announce we have severed ties with both Global Impact Wrestling and the Lock Wrestling Federation’s TV Networks. This in itself is not an unprecedented move, but the fact the UGWC will not be seeking alternative networks is.
Television audiences have been in a steady decline for the past decade and with more and more mediums over which to receive entertainment there are no signs of a revival. We hear at UGWC do not want to board a sinking ship, and instead will move in a new direction.
In the first half of 2009 Global Impact Wrestling lost their network timeslot due to various controversies, this however did not harm the brand, for they made a temporary home on the internet. This was obviously not the ideal scenario as the required planning was not in place to ensure 100% functionality.
Along with a group of sponsors, The UGWC have created the first ever Sports Entertainment online channel. Every Unified Global Wrestling Coalition show will be streamed live, in HD, and at super fast speeds on this very website. Not only that, every edition of UGWC Synergy will be available to either stream or download for completely free on the website. The standard weekly shows will contain adverts from various sponsors throughout the show, much like a TV broadcast, but the types of adverts received will be selected by the viewers via an online survey. This is a move welcomed by the sponsors as it gives them a more defined target audience, and enables UGWC to maximise the profit made from advertising.
Pay-Per-Views will be held on a special pay section of the site, but will be noticeably cheaper for our fans than the standard TV PPV providers, and still provide a greater profit margin for UGWC enabling it to invest in its staff and its facilities. Our fans will also be given numerous options by which to pay, including but not limited to yearly PPV passes at a discounted price, direct debit payments on the date of each PPV, and even payment via paypal.
The uniqueness of this venture will allow The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition to manage every aspect of the brand as we see fit, and rather than the TV network gaining the profits of our success, it will be channelled directly back into UGWC to the benefits of Entertainment Professionals and Fans alike.
In breaking our links with the many television networks across the world, UGWC has unshackled itself from the many regulations and constrictions which come with such a partnership. The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition is very proud to be the only brand in the industry to have 100% control over its own destiny and future.
