I want to discuss this because not just the feedback I was given today (I apprechiate that by the way Chad on the feedback you've given me.), but it's been pointed out to me more than once from here and in other feds I'm apart of as well I should do a lot more often. I will be honest about this, I've never been comfortable of using other people's characters consistantly unless other handlers give me ideas with their characters or have to use them in a stip which I'm still very uncomfortable with.
I never seem to have any ideas that I could involve other people's characters with consistantly, more so that socialising with wrestlers as everyone knows is Konrad's biggest weakness right now and I know that really does need to improve for me and for Konrad. It's why Konrad hasn't been interacting as much anymore because he doesn't know how to without showing anger, especially now he might have Social Anxiety Disorder.
How do you lot work together so well with each other and how did you get started on your characters interacting with each other and feel comfortable doing so? How could I improve on Konrad slowly getting him to interact with wrestlers without him being angry? I apprechiate the responses I'll get from this as always.
Its pretty much just as simple as reaching out to the other handler, and the two of you bouncing ideas off of one another.
Nobody expects you to use other peoples characters without their ok, and nobody expects you to be able to write as those characters and do them justice. It's simply a matter of communication. For instance...
You find yourself in a match where for the roleplay, you have to incorporate a scene involving a strip club owned by a motorcycle club. You reach out to Chad and say "hey, I have to incorporate Mixxxies into my rp, but I'm not sure how best to do it because Konrad hates motorcycle clubs". We then bounce ideas off of each other, and once we land on a general premise, I offer to have Chaos (or Lucky, or Xandy, etc) appear in your roleplay. I get my idea of a scene, I set it up with verbiage back and forth, and then I send to you so that you can go over Konrad's part and change whatever you need to in order for the Konrad being represented to be authentic to the character. Or you send me a scene, and I update Chaos' parts in order to accomplish the same end goal.
I can't speak for others, but when I say "I am curious to see how people utilize my ideas or my characters", I'm not expecting everyone to be able to write Chaos exactly as I would. In fact, there are only a few still here who I trust to write my characters without needing my input. For those that aren't on that list, it's just a simple matter of reaching out to me, and us working something out together. That way you are working with other people, that other persons character is still being represented according to their vision, and you don't have to stress about writing as someone else.
