“Cram your purse, Vines," Jet spits. The sight of the spittle flying from his mouth nearly makes Phrixus wretch, but he manages to control himself as Jet continues to talk. "I could easily go to Ooley with this request. It's clear to anyone who has been paying attention that you two couldn't manage your way out of a paper bag. Ooley has the strategic mind to protect his investment in Pierce, but I'm trying to save you two a little face here. Bar him from ringside, no cost. Or would you rather ruin another potentially great Heavyweight Title match with your insufferable purse?"
Phrixus can’t help but to roll his eyes. In the meantime, Jet scoops up the belt, turning to leave.
"If Travis Pierce shows his face while Deimos and I have our little date with destiny," Jet warns, "He will get hurt."
Jet storms out of the office, as Moss and Dexter exchange a glance.
“You’d think he’d be a bit more concerned about the devil he’s certain to face rather than the one he’s not.”
Both Moss and Dexter nearly jump out of their skins as Phrixus steps forward from the shadows.
“Where the hell did you come from?”
“The heart of terror can always be found deep in the shadows.”
“What does that even mean?”
“I’ve been here the whole time.”
“You have?”
“Jet does make a good point. It would be a disappointment if somebody were to interfere in this match.”
"Well then,” says Vines, “it's a business transaction that YOU want to discuss. As I was saying, to add a stipulation to a World Title Match at a pay per view is quite costly..."
“I just told you I was here the whole time. I’m no more interested in giving you some of my purse than Somers was. I’m also conscientious enough to know that it doesn’t matter what we say to you, as I’m sure the entire reason you put us in a Cage Match to begin with was for this exact reason. Somers and I will settle what is between us, between us.”
“What did you even come in here for, anyway?”
“Circumstances have rendered my video camera unusable, I was hoping I could borrow one.”
“Well,” Vines grins, “such a request might carry quite a bit of a price-”
“Oh, forget it. It’s not like you’d all understand what you were watching anyway.”

I was planning an elaborate video campaign to demonstrate to the world the truth about Jet Somers, but Alan still has the camera in his bedroom and I’d rather not know what he is doing with it. The Consortium doesn’t know their heads from their assholes, so it appears that I will continue to see the truth that everyone else is blind too.
When Somers and I first crossed paths, I saw him nearly immediately for the hypocrite that he was. He claimed to be an honorable person, yet he showed his true colors when he faced me at Revolution, bending until he finally broke. It was that day that made me confidant of that which I already knew, that Jet Somers is just as weak a person as everybody else.
Still, the world cheers this man. People are so easily misled, although having just faced Hastings on the grand stage didn’t hurt. Yet now I watch him be cheered in spite of the fact that he has become a paranoid fool that sees the world as being out to get him. We all know that Travis Pierce has enough of a purse to take a title match whenever he wants. Yet Somers not only looks past me to a match that may never come, but on Synergy this week he was about to engage in an unprovoked assault on Pierce. How anyone can view this man as a “hero” is beyond the scope of my understanding.
His attention continues to be everywhere save for where it should be. He appears unconcerned with the attempt on his life, and while I don’t really believe the blame that I suggested be placed upon him on Pierce’s show last week, the truth is that it wouldn’t shock me if it turned out to be the case.
Somers cannot be allowed to continue as champion. He must be forced to face his inner fears, the truths about himself. The reality of the path he has chosen.
No one can do it better than me.
