Alignment: Tweener
Entrance theme: "Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave Them Motion" by Meshuggah
Wrestling Style: Technical/ High Impact
Move Set (10+ moves):
Technical Arsenal:
1. Judo throw/ Overhead throw
2. Kubi Hishigi (Neck Crush and Neck Crank versions)
a. Neck Crush: The standard version. Zane assumes a mount, laces his arms through the armpits of the victim, and then grabs his or her head from behind and pushes their head into his chest so that the person can't breathe.
b. Can Opener: Hyper flexing neck crank.
3. Muay Thai knee strikes
4. Inverted Gutwrench Suplex Slam
5: Various suplex variations. - His favorites are the overhead release suplex and the head and arm suplex, especially the Head and arm suplex onto the apron. He’ll also grab his opponent and suplex them back into the ring from the apron.
6: Bicep Slicer
7. Guillotine choke (Standing or grounded)
8. Cravate (Likes the Cravate Neckbreaker and Cravate Suplex)
9. Full Nelson, followed by knee strikes to the back and sides
10. Various wrist locks
Power Arsenal:
11. Counter uppercut to a leaping/ flying opponent, he’ll also counter a running opponent by driving his foot into their face.
12. Rear-mounted forearm or elbow strikes to the face.
13. Farooq style Spinebuster.
14. Corner Powerbomb, followed by putting the opponent across the top corner:
A. Stomach first. He follows up in a couple of ways:
I. Repeated elbow strikes to the lower back
II. Repeated forearm strikes to the lower back
III. Repeated knee strikes to stomach with his braced knee
Or:
B. He'll lay or drop the person back first across the top ropes and then execute multiple running knee strikes to the lower back. Once they fall from the corner he'll pick them up as if to execute another powerbomb, but drop back into a Backstabber.
15. Repeated knee strikes to a grounded opponent. (This includes running knee strikes into a cornered opponent) with his braced knee. - Focusing on the elbows, shoulders and neck
16. "Arm and Hammered": Zane pulls his opponent's arm through the turnbuckle pad (usually the bottom one) and gets it trapped. As his opponent struggles to get it out, he either repeatedly stomps on it or he gets a running start from across the ring and dropkicks the arm while it's trapped.
17. Banzai Knee Strike (the one Daniel Bryan does) with his braced knee.
18. Grabs the wrist, yanks the arm up and repeatedly stomps on the hyperextended shoulder
19. Drapes his opponent’s arms over the top rope then:
A. steps onto the apron, grabs the wrists and drops to the floor, violently yanking both arms and potentially dislocating the shoulders
B. from the apron: Grabs the wrists and pulls back, digging his heels into the apron
C. stays in the ring, wraps the arm back through and yanks back on it while he drives his braced knee into the person’s back
20. Cravate, followed by knee strikes with his braced knee (usually four or five, unless the person really pisses him off), followed by either a lariat or he’ll violently whip the person backwards and drive them down onto the back of their head.
Trademark Moves: Exiled and Erased, Leveling the Cypress, Elevator to the Gallows, Full Throated, Hobo Harmonizer
Exiled and Erased: Farooq’s Dominator
Leveling the Cypress: A kidney punch
Elevator to the Gallows: Rhea Ripley’s standing inverted cloverleaf. - Zane will usually violently whip the person back and forth and finish it with either a thunderous face-first mat slam or a vicious wheelbarrow suplex.
Full Throated: A stun gun (stunner across the top rope) into a Clothesline from Hell lariat.
Hobo Harmonizer - Bully Choke (If he can lift the person, he'll violently whip them back and forth).
Set-Ups: Salt the Earth, Murderous Intent, Kneed to No, Open Minded.
Salt the Earth: A vicious curb stomp where he grabs the person by both arms, leans back and then drives his opponent face-first into the mat with all of his weight behind it.
Murderous Intent: He throws his opponent up with all of his power (he usually bends his knees before the push for added momentum). When the person falls to the mat he smashes the victim in the curve of the jaw with a vicious European Uppercut. Sometimes he’ll aim for the armpit with the hope of dislocating the shoulder or at least significantly weakening it. If his opponent has pissed him off enough, he’ll aim for the kidney.
Kneed to No: V-Trigger with his braced knee. He normally lands it to the chin, but when he’s annoyed or feeling particularly vengeful, he aims for the nose or eye. (Usually, his set up for “In Cold Blood”)
Open-Minded: Seated surfboard followed by repeated kicks to the head. - He alternates between the back and the crown of the head.
Finishers: In Cold Blood, Conspiracy of Silence, Jaws of Strife, The Purge
In Cold Blood: Fireman’s Carry into knee strike with his braced knee (KENTA’s “Go 2 Sleep”) - An homage to Dirge, who called it “History Made” (Not usually done to those who are heavier than he is).
Conspiracy of Silence: Toni Storm's "Storm One" (DDT version).
Jaws of Strife: Zane grabs the jaw and the top row of teeth and pushes them in opposite directions.
The Purge: Hammerlock Lariat (CM Punk’s “Pepsi Twist”)
“Chair-iots of Pain” - A good ol’ fashioned chair shot. (It’s not a finisher or set up, but it’s sort of a trademark for him because he did it regularly before trying to be a good guy, specifically with his legendary steel chair, the “Lord of Pain-Killer/ Thriller”).
Zane has one other "move" that's not a regular move or a "finisher". He just does it because he wants to hurt someone and add a "trophy" to his collection. He gave it a name because he likes the resemblance to "Chariots of Fire". Yes, it's a bad pun. No, he doesn't care.
