Vinegar: Welcome back, everyone, to Day Three of WrestleStock!
Covert Jay: Huttah!
Vinegar: If you're just joining us for the first time, you've missed quite an exciting couple days.
Leiberjosch: And why the hell did you miss them?
Vinegar: Scott N Stein won the Cooperative Championship two days ago, and nearly had a second title, but Moss Edwards was able to retain the Cross-Hemisphere Championship.
Covert Jay: Don't forget that Ezra Wade is now the current Chaos Champion, but he'll have to survive another day of vigilantes and hoodlums trying to take it from him.
Vinegar: Today's format involving our featured competitors will be in the form of a Round Robin of sorts.
Leiberjosch: There will be a series of matches held in various combinations, and it will be double elimination. Once you have lost two falls, be them by pinfall or submission, you are eliminated.
Vinegar: Early matches are occuring all over the grounds, but we're going to get started here at our feature ring with a highlight match with plenty of history and bad blood behind it.
Covert Jay: A great way to start the day!
Dennis: Introducing first, from San Diego, CA. He is The DRAGOOOOOON, ALEX KISERAGIIIIIIII!!
Alex walks out to the top of the ramp as 'Teahouse’ by Juno Reactor begins to play. He throws two right roundhouse kicks, each accompanied by a small pyro, followed by a split legged backflip with a larger pyro. He walks down to the ring, slapping a few outstretched hands as he passes. As he approaches the ring he takes a few quick steps and jumps through the first and second ropes into a roll and up to his feet. He climbs the turnbuckle and poses for a second before back-flipping off.
Vinegar: This match has so much history and will no doubt be another chapter in the story that has unfolded between these two.
Dennis: And his opponent, hailing from Hartford, CT. He is The LOORRRRD, DONOVAN HASTIIIIIIINGSSSS!!
'Ripper’ by Chinchilla begins to play as Hastings comes out onto the ramp. He spreads his arms out and looks skyward for a moment, closing his eyes as he relishes in the insults and boos thrown down upon him from the fans. Four of Hastings’ burly men appear on the stage with the throne and set it down. The Lord sits down in his throne as the burly men lift it and carry down to ringside. Donovan takes off his cloak and tosses it onto the throne.
Vinegar: Is that really necessary?
Leiberjosch: The Lord is simply preparing for his victory.
Covert Jay: It’s ...
Covert Jay: Inevitable.
Leiberjosch: OWWWW!!
Vinegar: What’s with the pause?
Covert Jay: I had to put on my sunglasses.
Vinegar: What’s up with you, doc?
Leiberjosch: Spilled my coffee...
Vinegar: Donovan has climbed into the ring and a stare down ensues between the two men.
DING! DING!
Vinegar: And with that, the bell rings and this match is under way.
Hastings and Alex circle inside of the ring and Alex goes for a lock up, but Donovan just kicks him in the gut. The Dragon doubles over and The Lord rains down some elbows onto his back. Alex attempts to get back to his feet and Hastings dumps him to the outside.
Vinegar: Hastings taking the advantage quick.
Covert Jay: NINJA!
Alex quickly slides back into the ring and executes a double leg takedown on Donovan, taking his turn to rain elbows onto his opponent. Hastings shoves Alex off and rolls out of the ring. Alex follows him out but Hastings rolls back into the ring. The Dragon follows in, only for The Lord to roll back out.
Vinegar: Hastings seems to goading his aggressive attacker.
Leiberjosch: He is simply testing the dexterity of the ring.
Donovan smiles as he stands outside the ring, causing The Dragon to slide out of the ring after him. The Lord, again, rolls back inside and Alex follows. Donovan goes for a legdrop to the back of the head but Alex pushes himself back out of the ring.
Covert Jay: Hastings lands hard on his caboose.
Leiberjosch: Caboose? Really?
Donovan gets back to his feet and charges Alex. The Dragon ducks and hits a shoulder into the gut of Hastings. Alex then springs over the top rope and into a sunset flip.
Vinegar: Our first pinning predicament of the match!
One..
Donovan rolls backward, stacking Alex into a pin.
One..
Alex pushes down on Donovan’s head, pushing him back into a sunset flip pin.
One..
Two..
Donovan kicks his legs, countering into another pin.
One..
Alex rolls to the side, countering into another sunset flip pin.
One..
Donovan rolls back and the two men have a stare down.
Leiberjosch: That, folks, is a technical showdown.
Vinegar: Very true and it’s somewhat of a surprise to see these two do that.
Leiberjosch: If you look past the bad blood, what lies beneath is two great wrestlers.
The two men circle again and actually engage in a collar and elbow tie-up this time around. Alex maneuvers into a go-behind and Donovan goes for a back elbow. The Dragon ducks and wraps his arms around Donovan as he the momentum causes Hastings to face his opponet. Alex bridges backward, locking The Lord into a Northern Lights suplex.
One..
Two..
Hastings kicks out but Alex maintains his grip, rolls to his feet and executes another Northern Lights suplex.
One..
Two..
Donovan kicks out again and shoves Alex off of him. Kiseragi gets to his feet and brings Donovan with him. Alex snapmares his opponent and plants a stiff kick to the back. He steps back and charges with another stiff kick. Donovan recoils in pain and rolls onto all fours. Alex grabs Hastings arm and goes for a La Magistral cradle. As he rolls over Donovan, The Lord hooks the leg of Alex and drops his body weight onto The Dragon, countering into a pin.
One..
Two..
Vinegar: Close call for Alex right there.
The Dragon quickly gets to his feet as Donovan does the same. Hastings brings a knee to the gut of Alex and throws him shoulder first into the corner. Donovan charges and Alex ducks, lifting Hastings up over the corner. Donovan throws a wild punch but Alex drops, kicking The Lord in the knees, knocking him face first onto the apron as his feet go out from under him. Alex exits the ring and lifts Donovan to his feet before bouncing his head off the steps. He follows as Donovan stumbles away from the stairs and towards the ramp. Alex clubs his adversary on the back and then grabs him by the back of the neck, throwing him into his own throne. Donovan slumps into the chair.
Vinegar: Smart move by Alex as he slides into the ring and slides right back out to break the count.
Covert Jay: He’s not interested in winning by countout.
Alex slides back out of the and turns toward Donovan, only to receive a spinebuster into the throne. Donovan leans back against the apron and slowly pulls himself up and into the ring. Alex bursts forward and jumps onto the apron. The two men begin trading punches back and forth. The referee attempts to break them away from the ropes. The referee ends up behind Donovan as The Lord winds up for..
Covert Jay: THE SUPERKICK!
Vinegar: It appears that the official has been struck by Donovan’s elbow.
With both Alex and the referee blinded, Donovan steps out onto the apron and grabs Alex for a kneebreaker. He drops from the apron, driving the knee of The Dragon full force onto the age of the apron. Before Alex can even react, Donovan grabs him again for a knee breaker and tosses him toward the throne and Alex’s knee connects onto the arm rest.
Vinegar: It is no secret that Alex has had problems with his knee in the past.
Leiberjosch: And Donovan is the reason that.
The Lord grabs Kiseragi and rolls him into the ring before following in himself. He lifts Alex to his feet only to grab his hair and slam him down to the mat. Donovan grabs his legs and rolls him into a Cloverleaf. He wrenches back as Alex attempts to crawl toward the ropes. As his fingertips touch the bottom rope, Donovan walks him back to the middle of the ring. He then unclasps his hands and wraps his arm around the left leg of Alex and again wrenches back.
Leiberjosch: A clever move by Donovan, transitioning into a variation that puts more pressure on the leg of his opponent.
Alex begins to crawl toward the ropes again as he screams out in pain. Kiseragi manages to get to the ropes as the referee begins to count, telling Donovan to break the hold.
1.. 2.. 3.. 4..
Donovan lets go and drags Alex to the center of the ring. He grabs Alex around the ankle and slams him knee-first into the mat. He grabs the leg of Alex again and drives it down to the mat. Donovan grabs the leg again and lifts Alex into the air but this time, The Dragon grabs the legs of his opponent and pulls him into a modified Victory Roll.
One..
Two..
Hastings kicks out and pounces on Alex, dropping some elbows down on his head and neck. He gets back to his feet. Alex uses the ropes to get up since his leg is messed up. Donovan realizes The Dragon has some fight left and charges at him. Alex leans back into the ropes, lifting his good leg into the face of Hastings. Alex then charges forward..
Vinegar: Could the YARI KICK!!
Alex’s leg gives out and he collapses to the mat. Donovan grabs Alex by the hair and slams his face into the mat. He lifts Alex up to his feet. Or foot. But Alex pushes Donovan backward and dives forward with a chop block to the front of Hastings leg, knocking him to one knee as well as doubling him over. Alex uses his adrenaline and bursts to his feet, readies himself..
Leiberjosch: SWEET BABY JESUS!!
Covert Jay: DRAGON’S TAIL!!
Alex uses his good leg and propels himself into a frontflip and strikes Donovan in the back of head, driving his face into the mat.
Vinegar: He needs to turn him over to get the win!
Alex pushes Hastings onto his back and scoops up both legs into a pin.
One..
Two..
Three!!
Dennis: And your winner.. ALEX KISERAGI!!
Vinegar: Alex Kiseragi wins our first match in the Round Robin!
Leiberjosch: And that is a first loss for Lord Hastings, halfway to elimination!
Covert Jay: And a step closer to the World Heavyweight Championship for the DRRRAAGGONNN!!!!
Vinegar: Other matches of today's Round Robin have been going on elsewhere on the grounds, let's check-in with Jason Reeves!
Reeves: Thank you, guys, I just watched a match that a rematch of last month's No Holds Barred main event, as Phrixus Deimos faced off against 'The Cyclone' JK. We all know how last month JK came extremely close to defeating Deimos for the World Heavyweight Championship, but this match today was a much different story.
Leiberjosch: We're looking at the highlights now, Jason. Looks like Deimos was able to really control the pace, keeping JK grounded early in the match, wearing him down and working over the right leg.
Reeves: He did, JK managed a comeback after catching Deimos by surprise with Flying Debris, and picked up a near fall after Deimos was trapped by the Eye of the Storm, but a missed Cane Toad Splash gave Deimos the opening he needed, and he rolled JK into a pinning predicament that was good enough for the three count.
Vinegar: So that's one loss for JK, for an update on the other match that just happened, let's go to Grey Coppi.
Coppi: Thanks, and if you guys thought Fear looked dominant against JK, he's got nothing on Alex Stein, the One Man Wrecking Crew who just made short work of Ezekiel Pax.
Leiberjosch: From the highlights we're seeing, it looks like Stein picked up right where he left off at No Holds Barred, the difference being that all that rage from last month was today focused on just one person.
Coppi: Indeed it was, and it was a flurry of offense that it looks like the Red-Eyed Warrior wasn't prepared for.
Covert Jay: We know that Alex Stein has a distaste for the ninja, employing a smash-mouth style that really aspires to break your face.
Coppi: Ezekiel Pax still has his face intact, Jay, but not much else, and it was almost an act of mercy when Stein finally pinned Zeke after a Flatline.
Vinegar: Thank you for the update, Grey. We're being told now that we're also going to get an update about some happenings on the grounds from...is this right?
Covert Jay: It is.
Vinegar: Let's go to Travis Pierce.
Pierce: This is Travis Pierce, reporting LIVE! from somewhere in the New Orleans City Park, where the madness and melee that is the Chaos Championship has already gotten underway, as the Tidal Wade may have already run dry, with possession of the title passing to, of all people, Vaughn Brennen, who despite rumors spread by myself of the contrary, is not dead. This comes, certainly, as a shock to this reporter, nevertheless Magnitude employed the Precision Pop to crack Wade's skull like an egg shell, and Owen Peterson was there, as he will be all day, to count the fall and transfer possession to Brennen. Why Vaughn Brennen chose to make his attack so early in the day is beyond me, you can look forward to me picking my spot much closer to the end of the day, and remember! It's not my fault that the truth hurts.
Covert Jay: Huttah!
Vinegar: If you're just joining us for the first time, you've missed quite an exciting couple days.
