Jet -
I will not insult you by ignoring our history, nor would I attempt to patronize you with dishonesty. I find you to be a despicable human being. The sting of your betrayal a year ago at this time has not been forgotten. Yet I would take a moment to remind you of something else that happened around that same time.
I know that you were proud of your accomplishment of being the Cross-Hemisphere Champion. It was a title that you won with considerable effort, overcoming great odds. You defended it valiantly and with great pride. It was taken from you, perhaps too soon.
I respect what you have dedicated yourself to in the present. You clearly care about this industry and its future, as you search for the talent and people that can carry it into the future, when our time has come and gone. You seek to spark a light at the end of our tunnel.
But now a darkness has begun to spread. The Creole Curse threatens to infect the legacy which we now share. It is something that I personally cannot stand by and simply watch as it happens.
Your young charge has chosen a path that I am certain you must have doubts about. The Cross-Hemisphere Championship was a symbol of pride and accomplishment for both you and I, albeit perhaps for different reasons. To Remi Monroe, it is little more than a trinket, a prop. It would not shock me to learn that he uses it as a paperweight, or perhaps as a coaster. I am captain for Outlast, against this man that spits in both of our faces. I ask that you return to the ring, even if it is for just a single night, and stand with me.
Even if you no longer desire to have our championship around your waist, I hope you can still respect it and hold it in the same regard as I. Respect yourself and your own accomplishments.
Join me.

Ed Leonard stood backstage at Synergy with Grey Coppi, the latter fumbling with his ear piece.
"Funny how these things work out, isn't it, Ed? All these years later, and now I'm interviewing you. Must be weird for you to be on the other side of things."
Leonard's response was halted before it even began, by the arrival of the Embodiment of Fear.
"Grey. Excuse us a moment."
"Sure, Fear. I'll be back in a few, Ed."
Grey Coppi motioned to the cameraman, who protested briefly before Grey emphatically reminded him not to mess with Phrixus, leaving the former World Heavyweight Champion alone with Ed Leonard.
"What do you want?"
"Nothing much, Edward. Just a little reminiscing about the past."
"You and I don't have any past."
"No, but your client and I do. Just how is Red doing, anyway?"
"If you watched my interview with him, you'd already know. He's undecided on a return."
"Yet you're here tonight, the week before a Pay-Per-View event, wanting some on-screen time with Grey Coppi. I doubt you are here to announce your own line of apparel."
"Maybe you should wait and watch like everybody else."
"Maybe you should call your client's attention to recent events, as even he should be disgusted by them. I know the disappointment he felt when he lost the match between us to unify the Cross-Hemisphere Title the first time, nine years ago. I know the pride he felt on the three subsequent times he won it in the years that followed, particularly considering the people he beat to do it. Legends of the industry. How would he feel to know our shared legacy is being dragged through the mud?"
"Correct me if I'm wrong, Fear, but don't you have a match to solve this problem yourself tonight?"
"Indeed, but I know the type of man I'm facing, one without dignity or remorse. One who is not beneath further soiling of that great title. Make no mistake, regardless of the outcome tonight, he will dedicate his...performance...next week to the continued disgrace of history. Tell your client to take a stand."
Phrixus began to leave.
"You need him, don't you?"
It gave Phrixus pause for a moment, but he spoke back over his shoulder.
"There is always a Plan C."
Grey Coppi returned as Phrixus left, but Ed Leonard quickly walked away from him.
