The picture collecting dust on a shelf inside of the Dungeon. Word has it that Old Lady Levene would occasionally dust inside the place but after Tate, it seemed like she’d lost her motivation. The picture was of happier times. Well, happy for some. Unhappy for others. It shows the side of one of the training rings inside the Dungeon. Lined up along the side of the ring but standing on the floor is the First Class of Pain.
Hiroki Sebaseragi had become the strongest student. He was still a focal point inside the Dungeon. Marek had singled him out and molded him into his full-time training partner. Hiroki was beginning to even mirror his mentor.
Todd Magenta was a dark horse. No one expected him to show the tenacity that he has. Everyone saw him as a referee and that was it. Everyone knows that referees are fragile people but Todd was a different story. It’s like the nerd in high school who decided to work out and show everyone not that time was their enemy.
Joy Asiago sort of floundered in the male dominant world of the Dungeon of Pain. The only women there were either older than dirt or hated her guts. The rumor mill states that she has basically become another piece of equipment around the gym.
Ezra Wade was the Wild Card of the Dungeon while he was there. He was more successful than anyone, trainer or student, at WrestleStock. If he hadn’t been taken out, he may have even been deemed the fastest rising star in UGWC, becoming a two-time Chaos Champion with less than 1 year in the company under his belt.
Tate Levene was a loss from the get go. Chris even said on day one that he was only there because his grandma forced him to go. Tate did try to keep up on occasion only to show his face as the turncoat of the Dungeon. Who knows what that fat bastard is up to these days...
Paul Cockatoo seemed like he had potential when he first showed up at the Dungeon. It seemed like a fire had been lit under his ass. Started off well at the beginning but slowly faded like the rest of the Aussie Rebels. He still trains around the Dungeon but no one is sure why. Kind of like the ‘Stapler Guy’ from Office Space who hangs around after he’s been fired.
Standing on the apron in the photo are the coaches and caretakers of the Dungeon of Pain.
Donovan Hastings’ pride and joy was in this picture. Or so it seemed. It is slowly appearing that the Dungeon of Pain has been a ruse the entire time just for Hastings to get the World Title. The pupils he seemed to hold dear are now puppets in his charade.
Marek Daisuke and Chris Peterson stood side by side in the picture which would basically be an unwarranted sign of things to come as they teamed together as the Lords Enforcers. In a sad turn, Chris now sits at home nursing his leg, occasionally making an appearance to piss of the students. Funny part about the picture is that the only one smiling is Chris. Probably because class had just ended. While Chris has faded away, Marek has stepped forward as the Head Coach, even as Chaos Champion.
Calypso Desmona stood near the Lord. She was much more into the mental and intellectual training of the students even though she could handle herself in a physical aspect. Her hatred for Joy was ever present as she stared daggers towards her. Her frustration with Donovan isn’t a surprise and she has done a great job at the Dungeon in attempts to step out of his shadow.
Ezekiel Pax stands almost dead center in the picture. He started off as a guest trainer and his appearance was made even more scarce after becoming the World Champion. His knowledge was undeniable and Ezra made a great student but it was all a ploy. Ezekiel had no regrets in the matter and seemed to be standing well on his own. In recent weeks, he’s shown that even though he isn’t the champion anymore, he’s nowhere near out of the game.
A plume of smoke forms around the picture and a hand reaches out to pick it up. The tattoos are a dead giveaway and the screen pans back to reveal Ezekiel holding the picture in one hand and a joint in the other.
“Those were some good days. Someone needs to light a fire under this place again. Kobe-Yoshi Shamu or whatever it’s called will be a day of recognition. Donovan WILL win and then the Dungeon of Pain..” he pauses to take a drag from the treat, “will become the Dungeon of Pax.”
He exhales before setting the picture back down and walking away as the scene fades.
