Last moments before Outlast...
I am a lot more than the comic relief barista who sneaks to the ring to avoid entrances. I've watched, and I've watched well.
“The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge to life, and the promise of future accomplishments.”
Gustave Flaubert
“Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals.”
Oscar Wilde
Girls have an unfair advantage over men: if they can't get what they want by being smart, they can get it by being dumb.
Yul Brynner
“The great question is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with failure.”
Laurence J. Peter
“The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity.”
Ayn Rand
“The best things in life are unexpected - because there were no expectations.”
Eli Khamarov
“Life changes fast. Life changes in the instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends.”
Joan Didion
Look at your team. Look at who you're facing. All of you see friends and enemies. I do not.
I have no rivalry, no friends, and no big story.
My path is clear. But still, I'm where you are.
I've got a clear and focused path to success. With everyone's strategy meetings, drafts, and planning, it all boiled down to getting themselves over.
I've shown you all how easy it is to be mainstream. My name, my actions, and my style are all that anyone can seem to talk about. The attention I've received in the last two months would be the shot in the arm most of your careers need.
And for what? Who have I feuded with? What big 'story' do I have going on right now? Most of you are still in your everlasting set of feuds and rivalries and showing us each week the developments of you never-ending and bland lives. Whose going to fall in love with their partner? Can you believe those guys and what they did? Look who has my back, who's going to have his back? Am I ever going to win 'my' title back?
You've all conformed into this mold of a UGWC competitor. Fight this guy for a while for this title. Then fight that other guy for that other title. Make some friends to go against that guy and his friends. That didn't work out, so be quirky and do your own thing to show that you don't need anyone.
None of you have a real identity. All of you are chasing your tails, hoping your own personal story finally plays out.
But Holden Orson...
I've been easy to watch haven't I? I don't talk about winning titles. I don't interfere with your matches. I don't make a bunch of friends to watch my back. I just show up every single week.
I'm just Holden Orson every week. And every week I'm Holden Orson, the buzz around me grows bigger and bigger.
I don't really even seem to have any goal in mind, do I?
So why am I even here? Has anyone bothered to think about that?
You've all been so content to scoff everything and send me 'vintage' objects, that you've never thought to really understand Holden Orson.
My purpose here is so much more pure than any other member of the roster. I'm simply here to show you all how poor and unoriginal you all are. Not just one person, or a group of people. Every person. And I'm going to do that by simply being Holden Orson.
So many of you have said you've never seen anyone like me. That's because I'm real.
All of you, look at yourselves. You've been in the game so long, you've forgotten who you are. I don't have to do a rundown and tell you each individually your fatal flaws. A collection of masquerade masks was able to do that for me.
What do you talk about when you stop talking about yourself and your enemies. You talk about Holden Orson. You know who talk about you besides your friends and your enemies? No one.
Then think even deeper. I haven't said a single person's name and I'm still talking about you.
I'm the one person this doesn't apply to. I'm Holden Orson.
While you sit there, grimacing at the screen, thinking about how you're really going to comment on this one day, remember this; The only real way to stop Orson's Overthrow is to dig inside yourself and realize your own flaws.
But it's already too late isn't it? You're going to have to quietly reflect on how a no-name hipster simply walked in and took over.
Why did no one stop him? How come no one saw it coming? What exactly did he do that made him so successful.
Then you'll realize that he simply … was Holden Orson.
