TNA has easily the most incomprehensibly bad booking committee I've seen in a long time, and that's an accomplishment with WWE out there. I don't have cable anymore, so I get my wrestling news from the net. Can anyone explain to me why TNA just turned Samoa Joe, their most popular face by FAR into a heel who's aligned with MVP, a guy he's spent most of the last year fighting ? I get why the put Low Ki in that group. I get why Kenny King is in it (he's MVPs stooge) and I suppose that even Eric Young makes a little sense.
Samoa Joe I don't get.
What is TNA's aversion to putting the World Title on their most popular guy ? Is it a tacit admission of how lousy their booking tends to be ? I would think that Joe would be aligned with the face stable that's probably going to pop up, which will consist of Austin Ares, Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle to start and perhaps get Bobby Lashley later on. With TNA you can never tell. They stick to the wrestling trope of all faces being divided, weak idiots that never align for long and when they do, they rarely ever act cohesively.
I wonder how contrived this "Beat Down Clan" storyline is going to get.
And by the way, having MVP refer to them as "The Clan" was not the best bit of mic work on his part. Just sayin.
