They said it was the night of the no-win scenario. Funny, as Vain still feels like a winner.
UGWC took Japan by storm, and at the end of the night, 'The Syndicate' reigned supreme. As it should be.
The pressure I faced was not just that of the personification of fear, itself...but also the pressure of attempting to do what my two predecessors could not; successfully defend the UGWC World Title. And while 'Mr. Ego' was initially caught off guard by Fear's game plan...defend it successfully is exactly what I did.
You're welcome.
Alas, there is no rest for the weary. This week, a new challenge, as 'The Syndicate' faces three people that arguably have excelled in their own right: the UGWC Cross-Hemisphere Champion, Seito Risa; and the UGWC Cooperative Champions, the team of Donovan Hastings and Travis Roberts.
Risa is an enigma of sorts, as she is a hard person for Vain to figure out. Either that, or 'Yours Truly' just simply cannot be bothered with worrying about the inconsequential. All signs point to the latter.
Hastings and Roberts, however, I know all too well.
Vain carried them in 'The Puppet Masters'. Come Monday, that will be no different.
They will once again stand in the presence of greatness, and witness the epitome of wrestling excellence work his magic in the ring. Only this time, they won't have their hands raised in victory afterwords.
Have no fear though, gentlemen...even though wrestling 'Vain' Alan Wallace doesn't seem to be conducive to long-term professional success for my opponents, there are always other options.
Might I recommend a game of Yahtzee, instead.
