Name: Montague Cervantes
Real Name: Montoya Sargaste
Nicknames:Big Sky(dropped), The Magician, Montana Stevenson(dropped), The Doctor-Professor, The Showman, The Mothman
Appearance:
Pic Base: Aurelio Voltaire
Height/Weight: 6'3" 263lbs
Alignment: Heel
Age: 40
Hometown: Berea, SC
Currently Residing: Nomadic
Entrance Music: "Back and Forth" by Doctor Steele
Entrance: The sound of a winding filmstrip can be heard as the arena is bathed in dim sepia light. A trumpet sounds accompanied by a spotlight emanating from the curtain. It backlights a man in a top hat, with a cane slung over his left shoulder. As a tinny voice begins to sing, the silhouetted figure moves along with the directions of the lyrics.
As you can see
I go back and forth
That's right
Side to side
Back and forth
Back and forth
Back and side to side
The music picks up some energy right as the spotlight switches to shine from the rafters, illuminating the grinning face of Montague Cervantes dressed in an elaborate jacket and a jauntily-cocked top hat. When the auto-tuned verse begins, "Listen to me, Listen to me" he starts making his way toward the ring, turning, flourishing, bowing, and two stepping along with the music.
Basic Moves:
Montague tries to be as flashy as possible when executing moves, playing up his showmanship.
Montague has a violent temper and will start sliding more toward brawling if a match goes long
Wind up haymaker
Knife edged chop
Diving clothesline
Spinning back fist
Overhead chop
Wristlock suplex
Delayed butterfly suplex
Wheelbarrow suplex
Crescent kick
Corner thrust kick
Shining wizard
Pendulum kick
Knee trembler
Running corner high knee
Scissors kick
Russian leg sweep
Argentine DDT
Suicide DDT through the ropes
Shoulder tackle
Fallaway powerbomb
Blockbuster
Signature Moves:
Lament for a Toy Factory: Montague runs toward the ropes, then ascends them like he's running up steps, springing off the top rope for a backflip kick on a standing opponent.
Carousel Kick: This is executed similar to a 619, except it's done near a turnbuckle. Montague swings out from one side of the turnbuckle, rebounds off the ring steps then grabs the ropes on the opposite side of the turnbuckle and swings in for the kick. Best used as a bait and switch to confuse the opponent who thinks Montague is escaping.
Finishers:
STL (stick the landing): Catching a staggered opponent near the corner of the ring, Montague slips out to the apron. Using the top rope he slingshots himself into a forward flip, landing with his feet on the opponent's shoulders and executing a headscissors piledriver into the turnbuckle
Big Finish: This move begins as if Montague is going to do a rolling thunder, but instead of following the forward roll with a standing senton, he leaps up for an elbow drop. This elbow drop is very showy; he lands in a reclined position on his left side, right knee up, head resting on the palm of his left hand. Best case scenario, this results in a cover with overwhelming arrogance.
Taunts: Montague works the crowd by doing ringmaster/magician-esque hand flourishes, especially after he's accomplished a particularly flashy move well.
Brief History: Montague is a traveling performer and entertainer. He most often performs at fairs, circuses, etc. He has traveled the world with various troupes, but currently is a free agent and takes bookings found for him by his agent. Montague is very adept at juggling, balancing, tumbling, twirling, jumping, dancing, and some low level acrobatics. Montague had his first brush with UGWC at Wrestlestock 2020 when he was booked to perform at the Oasis District.
Associates:
Booking agent Jordana Andrews
Jordana is also a cosplayer, and meets most of her contacts through conventions that she attends year round. On the rare occasion that she accompanies Montague at the arena, she cosplays as Zatanna to match his outfits. (pic base - Karrigan Taylor)
