Chassie Lynn Fear was a nobody when she burst onto the wrestling scene in a promotion known as Universal Championship Wrestling, or uCw. Her back-story was as tragic as any, but she never let that get her down. Her parents had died when she was very young, and she spent her childhood in a foster home, staying away from everybody except for her best friend, a girl named Zoey Carpenter, and her boyfriend, both of whom were ‘outsiders’ because they had ‘real’ homes. She gave herself to her boyfriend on her fifteenth birthday, never imagining that three months later, she’d find herself pregnant. Terrified of her foster parent’s finding out about her pregnancy, and thereby trying to take her unborn child or force her into an abortion, and unable to force her problem on her boyfriend for fear of ruining his chance for a better life, she ran away from home, taking a midnight bus to the small town of Shiloh, South Carolina to live with Zoey’s sweet, but estranged Aunt Claire. She grew to love the small town, and they in turn loved her back. Eventually though, her foster parent’s found her and came for her. She and Aunt Claire fought for her freedom and the right to keep her child, and through many legal loopholes, and a little bit of luck, Claire became Chassie’s legal guardian. On April 25th, 1994 She gave birth to her daughter, Hayleigh Fear.
Life was hard for Chassie, but at the age of 20 she found herself run down and working in a bar to help support her Aunt and daughter. That’s the night that changed everything. That night, she’d served two men who’d spoken of a wrestling federation holding open trials, and of a match they could not wait to see. She knew the place wasn’t far out of town, and she took off, heading for the arena. She arrived to find out she was too late for tryouts. It wasn’t until she turned to leave that the men on TV. caught her attention. She knew one of them…it was her boyfriend from so long ago. He was also getting ganged up on by four other men in the ring. Without thinking she ran down to the ring, grabbing a pipe on the way, and started to take out the four in the gang. She succeeded, barely, and realized as she looked at the devastation she caused that she’d never felt more alive in her entire life. Shaking with exhilaration she headed back up the ramp, the crowd cheering for her the whole time. Confronted with security and the president of the federation, she bargained her way into a contract. And so her new life was born.
Things were not easy, especially for someone like Chassie. She had no allies, and she had plenty of enemies given the people she had cracked over the skull on her first night in. But she fought her way up the ranks and love her or hate her, people respected her. One of the people she grew at odds with was a man named Gothik(Raenius now.) This is why it was just as much a surprise to her as to the wrestling world when he picked her to join his Covenant, and even more shocking when she accepted. She also found love again, in the form of the seductive playboy Jarek Magnum. He was a wrestler in the same federation and was as well aware of his good looks as she was. What started as pure desire blossomed into love for both of them. Jarek has been by her side and she by his ever since, as he also took on being a father to Hayleigh. uCw closed, and Chassie was left alone, her alliance with the Covenant destroyed, and her friendship with one Mickey Dragon, whom she had fought and beaten for the Intercontinental title on uCw’s last night, left hanging in the balance.
She used her retirement to focus on raising her daughter, and her life with Jarek. However trouble soon found her as an advasary of her friend, Mickey Dragon had chosen Chassie to kidnap, all in order to enrage Dragon. She survived the endless torture, drugging, and abuse, even suffering through being crucified, to be freed at a showdown match in the federation her friend was in. Dragon lost the match and nearly died. The grief killed Chassie.
She decided to come out of retirement when GIW opened. She’d been plagued by the urge to fight again. It consumed her. So she sent out feelers and chose GIW out of all the rest. It wasn’t long before fate came calling. Her former mentor, Gothik, now back under the name of Raenius, called on her once again to stand by his side in the Covenant, and she rejoined without hesitation, to this day never looking back. She looks only to the future with her family, and that consists of the Covenant. She would die defending them, and know that they feel the same.
