It’s UGWC Legend versus UGWC Legend as arguably the greatest Cross Hemisphere Champion ever and the current Conquest Champion faces the most decorated UGWC World Champion of all time. These two men know each other well and it shows in the opening stages of the match as they break out some of their classics, but neither one can gain an advantage as the counters come as fast as the attacks. After a few minutes of it the match is a stalemate with the two long time rivals staring each other down from opposite corners as the fans applaud both men in appreciation.
The aggression ramps up in the second phase of the match as the two men trade technical holds, counters, punches and kicks until they both dropkick at the same time and end up face to face. They leap to their feet and continue their assaults on each other, and this time Donovan Hastings gets the advantage by surprising Deimos with a knee to the stomach. He transitions it into a facebreaker DDT and immediately goes for the pin. Deimos kicks out at one. Donovan looks a little annoyed and pulls Deimos up into a gut buster, followed by an STO. He tries for the “Hands of Fate”, but Deimos evades it and dodges the attempted standing elbow drop which follows it. Donovan pulls him up and immediately slams him into the mat with a side headlock driver. He goes for the pin again, but Deimos kicks out at two and a half.
Hastings pulls Deimos up into “Destiny’s Call”, but Deimos slips down his back after a couple of knees to the head and locks him into a sleeper, dropping it into “The Numbing” straight away. It gives him a couple of minutes to regain his faculties. Once he does he goes on the offense and runs Hastings all over the ring with suplexes, arm drags, leg takedowns, a DDT, and a facebuster of his own before he flattens Hastings with a spear. He immediately goes up and comes crashing down with “Fainting”, which gets a long two count.
Deimos goes back to the top and lands a second “Fainting”, which he follows with an immediate “Meteor Press”, but Hastings rolls out of the way and Deimos crashes to the mat. Hastings leaps on and applies the “Hands of Fate”. Deimos nearly passes out, but manages to get to the ropes. Hastings tries to drag him back into the ring, but Deimos kicks him off and explodes into another spear. Deimos pulls himself up, lifting Hastings into a Fireman’s Carry, which he transitions into a DDT. Deimos goes for another “Meteor Press” but Hastings moves out of the way and pulls Deimos into a cradle, only for Deimos to adjust so that it’s Hastings shoulders that are actually down, and he gets the three!
Winner: Phrixus Deimos
Time: 9:14
As Kyra enters, commentary reminds us that coming up later her partner will face Dave Rydell, a week ahead of Baltimore Elite’s scheduled title defense against Rydell and Hastings.
The Dark Destroyer comes down the ramp waving a bottle of whiskey over his head. He enters the ring and points it at Kyra menacingly, as the latter rolls her eyes. The Destroyer charges and swings it at her, but she sidesteps rather effortlessly and he swings into the ropes, his arm rebounding off it and smashing the bottle over his own head.
With the Destroyer now knocked out by his own hand, Hazel East shrugs and starts the match anyway, as meanwhile Kyra looks genuinely offended by the waste of good whiskey. She picks up the largest shard of the broken bottle before glaring at the immoble Destroyer, and commentary observes that she probably wants to go for the Blackout here, but he’s still flat on his back and hasn’t moved. Kyra goes to put him into a dragon sleeper, but stops when she realizes Hazel is going to immediately call for the bell due to him being unconscious and releases the hold before locking it in. Hazel asks why, and Kyra gestures towards the broken bottle, which Hazel appears to shrug and accept as valid. Kyra lifts the limp Destroyer into the Jaw Dropper, then stands with one foot on his chest as the referee counts the three!
Winner: Kyra Johnson
Time: 1:42
Kyra looks down with disgust at the Destroyer, when she is suddenly blindsided by Hastings! Hastings stomps repeatedly away on the Jawdropper, then looks for and picks up a piece of the broken bottle. He turns back to face Kyra as the latter is trying to use the ropes to pull herself up, but Davison comes rushing down the ramp and knocks the weapon out of his hand. They brawl as Rydell comes running out as well followed by several officials, and the two teams are separated as Hastings continues to seethe.
It’s clear right from the outset that Ken and Dave both intend to make sure the other doesn’t make it to the Cooperative Championship next week. Sam Greene has his hands full trying to control the match as they continuously toss each other in and out of the ring.
Dave hits a swinging neckbreaker followed up by a DDT. Ken recovers and hits a shoulderbreaker and then a dragon screw. Rydell takes back over with a flipping neckbreaker and then a diving spear that stuns him as well. Davison goes on the offensive and hits a pendulum backbreaker followed by a tombstone piledriver for the first pin.
Kicking out quickly, Dave breaks away and then hits a jaw breaker. A tornado DDT leads to a Rydell bomb and now it’s his turn to pin. Davison gets a foot on the rope, then drags Rydell into a Torture Crab. Dave struggles and is just about to tap out when he suddenly rolls to his back and kicks free.
Davison doesn’t allow him to get his feet back under him, though, immediately pulling Rydell into an overhead belly to back suplex. Dave tumbles through the ropes, but hangs onto the ropes in the apron. Ken rushes over and hits a Fall from Grace spilling them to the outside again.
They each slowly climb to their feet, and Davison rushes at Rydell. Dave hits a superkick that staggers Ken, then a standing dropkick. As Davison drops to his knees, Rydell hits a Rydell Stomp!
He drags Davison to his feet and starts trying to get him back into the ring. Davison throws and elbow and smashes Dave’s face into the apron. They begin whipping around the ring, and Sam is forced to begin a count.
Back and forth they whip one another through the stairs around the ring, managing to get all four sets before Greene gets to 10 and counts them both out!!
Winner: Double Countout
Time: 13:42
Dave and Ken continue to brawl up the ramp until Kyra and Donovan rush out to separate them, saving some for next week!
This match features three of the singles champions in UGWC in action, along with putting Centurion and Cervantes across the ring from each other just a week ahead of their World Championship match at Ever Escalating Endangerment.
It’ll actually be Savage and Ragdoll getting things started, Savage aggressive out the gate, catching Ragdoll with a forearm, staggering her with several jabs before dropping her to the mat with a double leg takedown. Savage mounts to continue the assault, but Ragdoll slips out from under him, rolling to her corner to make a tag to Cervantes. The Doctor-Professor comes into the ring but charges right into the Spinebuster to End ALL Spinebusters, Savage driving him into the mat. Savage hooks the leg, but Cervantes gets his shoulder up at two.
Savage sits up from the pin, but hesitates as directly in front of him Ragdoll hangs upside down over the ropes, playfully waving at him. Cervantes hooks Savage into a crucifix pin, but Savage kicks out at two. Both pop to their feet, and Savage whips Cervantes towards the corner and chases after him, but Cervantes swings out of the ring and back in for the Carousel Kick. Cervantes grabs the staggering Savage and sends him shoulder first into the Creeps corner, and makes the tag to Ragdoll.
Corner splash by Ragdoll, and she and Cervantes make a series of rapid tags, maintaining the pressure on Savage along with keeping him away from his corner and the World Champion. Cervantes is tagged in, but stays on the apron as Savage is staggered near the corner. Cervantes flips over the ropes onto Savage’s shoulders, but Savage grabs him and slams him to the mat, collapsing next to him. Savage starts to crawl across the ring as the crowd chants for Centurion, meanwhile Cervantes gets back to his feet. Cervantes runs past Savage, springing off the ropes for Lament for a Toy Factory, but Savage has half to his feet and sidesteps him before connecting with a superman punch! Savage dives and makes the tag to Centurion!
The World Champion rushes into the ring and knocks Cervantes down with a pair of clotheslines. Ragdoll rushes into the ring, but runs right into the Bloody Symphony! Centurion lifts Cervantes into a saito suplex, covers for a two count. Centurion whips Cervantes towards the ropes, but Cervantes springboards back into Lament for a Toy Factory! Cervantes goes for the Big Finish, only for Centurion to spring to his feet and catch Cervantes in a double leg takedown, and turns him over into the Fall of Rome! Cervantes struggles, but the Red Triangle Gang has shown up at ringside. Savage drops off the apron, going right after the gang and knocking several down with rapid fire punches, as meanwhile in the ring Ragdoll breaks up the hold with a dropkick to Centurion’s chest. She delivers a ripcord knee to his face, and Cervantes grabs the staggered Centurion as if to do a belly to belly pile driver, but suddenly swings him up by the ankles into a horizontal position. Ragdoll rushes over and leaps up to connect with a double knee facebreaker. Soc ‘n Bustin! Cervantes covers, and gets the three!
Winners: Tragedia del’Arte
Time: 12:49
Cervantes stands over the fallen World Champion and takes a dramatic bow!
