- Vinegar, Hans, and Jay give us the usual intro that transitions into childish bickering. [/CopyPaste]
The bell sounds and both meet in the middle of the ring. Dave Rydell is talking as much trash as possible while Rogan is just letting him do it. Dave is expecting some sort of a response but gets nothing, so he slaps Rogan as hard as he can. But this just angers the champion and he catches a hard right for his troubles. The two trade blows back and forth until Rogan gets the upper hand. He backs Dave into the corner and hits multiple body shots but Dave catches him and reverses the roles. Rogan in the corner and Dave hitting body shots. Rogan blocks one and shoves him back.
The two lock up and start pushing back and forth for the upper hand. Dave gets it and gets Rogan in a side headlock. Rogan pushes him into the ropes and goes for The Rise of Hydra early but Dave catches him and throws him to the ground. Dave slides in and goes to lock in the Rydell Lock but Rogan breaks away. They continue with a long series of chain wrestling…arm drags, body throws, various holds and limb control. At the end, Rogan hits an arm drag on Dave but Dave rolls to a knee and lands in a superhero stance, looking right at him. The crowd explodes at the skill level and showmanship that has been put on.
The two meet once again in the middle of the ring and give a nod before Rogan strikes first. Knee to the gut. Dave is down on a knee. Rogan hits a low DDT for a long 1 count. Rogan whips Dave into the corner and follows with a clothesline. Then a body splash. And he goes for another clothesline but Dave catches him and hits a modified spinebuster. Dave covers for a long 1 count himself. Both are up and Rogan goes for a belly to belly suplex but Dave blocks and hits one of his own. Dave goes for a release German but Rogan counters with a roll up for a 2 count. Dave gets up, frustrated and charges at a rising Rogan who ducks. On the rebound, Dave goes for a flying forearm but Rogan catches him mid air, Rise of Hydra!!! Long long 2 count!
Rogan pulls Dave up and sets him up for An Ode to Megaton but Dave counters out and staggers Rogan back. Rogan comes back and swings for a clothesline. Missed! Rogan turns and catches the After Shock! Dave covers for a long 2 count of his own! Dave pulls Rogan up but gets rolled up and quickly kicks out. Rogan is right there and hits a downward dropkick putting Rydell on the mat. Rogan looks at the corner and climbs up. He goes for the Call of Cthulhu but Dave catches him mid air with the Virus of Life! Dave goes to cover but Rogan has instinctively rolled out of the ring!
Dave stands up while Brian Chartreuse goes and checks on Maclean at ringside. Dave turns around and is face to face with Donovan Hastings. Dave asks what he’s doing there and gets kicked between the legs. Donovan lifts him up and hits Destiny’s Call! Donovan escapes through the crowd while Brian comes in the ring and Rogan follows. Rogan climbs to the top rope and hits the Call of Cthulhu on Dave for 3!
Winner: Rogan Maclean
Time: 12:41
The bell sounds and both competitors go out on opposite sides of the ring and grab a weapon from under. Ezra with a steel chair and Vespertine with a kendo stick. Ezra swings the chair but it gets ducked. Kendo stick to the back from Vespertine. Chair hits the mat and Ezra turns and gets cracked over the head. He staggers back and Vespertine uses the stick to clothesline him over the top! Both spill to ringside but Vespertine is up. Ezra pulls himself but catches a running knee to the face. Vespertine pulls him up and whips him into the steel steps and follows up with a baseball slide on the floor right to his midsection.
Vespertine goes under the ring and pulls out a trash can but the time it took gave Ezra a chance to recover. She turns around to hurl it at him but gets dropkicked in the face! Ezra picks up the trashcan and puts it on top of Vespertine. He grabs the kendo stick and starts hitting the trashcan with her inside it! After repeated stomps, he pulls the trashcan off and goes for a cover but only gets 2. He whips Vespertine into the barricade and clotheslines her over into the crowd. Ezra heads to the ring and pulls out a table and sets it up at ringside. He heads out to grab Vespertine but she sprays him with one of the fire extinguishers at ringside for safety precautions! Ezra is blinded! She steadies on the barricade and leaps, hitting a front dropkick to Ezra who goes back first into the ringpost!
After a few moments, Vespertine is back up and grabs the chair from earlier. Ezra starts to get up but gets cracked over the head with the chair. She pulls Ezra back up and goes for a suplex towards the table but it’s blocked. Ezra counters but misses the table. He gets up and lays her across the table before going into the ring. He steadies on the top turnbuckle and looks like he’s going for Gravity Falls but Vespertine gets out of danger quick. She starts to stand up and catches a flying cross body for her troubles. Both are down yet again, this time Ezra gets up first.
He pulls Vespertine up and slams her head on the apron multiple times. She staggers away and as Ezra goes for a clothesline, she ducks. She hits a desperation spinning heel kick and uses the time to recover. She gets the table steadied outside the ring and climbs up on the apron looking for Ezra but he’s nowhere to be found. Out of nowhere he runs up on her and hits Peace Out! The move pulls her off the apron and both crash through the table. Ezra crawls over and covers for 3.
Winner: Ezra Wolf

There is an unexpected interruption as the body count continues.
Commentary reminds us of the past bad blood between Raab and Pierce, particularly a year ago at the WrestleStock Festival, and that both will be a part of this year’s Open Tournament.
Raab and Pierce argue as the match gets underway, with Raab aggressively shoving Pierce, who scoffs at him and rolls out of the ring. Raab shouts at Pierce to come back into the ring, but Kyra takes the opportunity to deliver a dropkick to the back, knocking Raab through the ropes to the outside. Pierce pounces on him, stomping away on Raab at ringside, but narrowly evades Kyra as she comes soaring over the top rope, and Kyra lands with a senton onto Raab. Pierce grabs Kyra immediately and hurls her into the steel steps, before sending her back into the ring. He slides in and covers, but she pops her shoulder up at two.
Pierce starts to bring Kyra back to her feet, but she fights him off with a series of forearm shots until he stops her momentum with a knee lift. Kyra ducks under a clothesline attempt and uses the ropes to build momentum, looking for a hurricarana, but Pierce counters the attempt into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He covers and hooks the leg, but rolls off of her as he sees Raab diving towards him, and Raab’s attempt to break up the pin results in him splashing Kyra. Pierce backs Raab into the corner with a series of chops, but Raab goozles him and walks them back towards the center of the ring before lifting Pierce into the Iceinator! Raab covers, but Pierce barely kicks out before the three.
Raab sets Pierce up for a vertical suplex, but Pierce floats off the back and gets Raab into a fireman’s carry position for Signing Off. Raab stuns Pierce with an elbow and lands safely on the ground, picking the leg and taking Pierce down, and he goes for the Ice Lock! Raab tries to lock it in, but Pierce rolls onto his back and kicks Raab away. Raab is stunned momentarily, but he charges back, only for Pierce to spring off the mat and surprise him with The Truth Hurts! Pierce covers with a lateral press, shouting at Raab that the same thing will happen at WrestleStock, but he’s left himself open and in position for Kyra to connect with the Blackout! She covers Pierce and gets the three!
Winner: Kyra Johnson

“Undead” by Hollywood Undead begins playing over the PA and as the crowd begins cheering - Out walks the NEWWWW UGWC World Heavyweight Champion, Lucy Wylde with a big smile on her face as she hoists the title belt up onto her shoulder. She doesn’t take long, making it to the ring and before the people know it her music is fading and she’s got a microphone in her hand, staring down at the contract for Wrestlestock between her and Tempest. It sits neatly on a black cloth-covered table in the middle of the ring.
Lucy Wylde: Four years.
She pauses and takes a deep breath, glancing down at the belt on her shoulder.
Lucy Wylde: Four long years since I lost this belt to Alan Wallace. And in those four years, a lot of people will say I lost my way, or that I would never be able to get back to what my true potential is. I heard it, and hell.. At times I even felt it. But every success I had in those four years and every failure.. It brought me right back here, to this moment.
Another pause as the crowd shows their support. Lucy nods her head and steps forward.
Lucy Wylde: My moment. There’s nothing more satisfying than making it back to the top of the mountain.. That is, except the challenge of staying there. All I can say right now is Thank you to everyone who believed in me along the way, especially when I didn’t believe in myself.
She bows her head and when she brings her eyes back up, her eyes flicker momentarily towards the entrance ramp before she continues.
Lucy Wylde: And thank you, Tony Savage. I look forward to the rematch, and I wish you the speediest of recoveries. I want to hold this belt with the same honor that so many before me have. I want to represent this great company with all the dignity in the world… Which is why I’m not going to stand here and bask in my victory at Battleground - Instead, I’m looking towards the future…
She looks out at the crowd before her gaze again settles on the entrance ramp.
Lucy Wylde: Tempesssst… My old friend. We’ve got ourselves a date at Wrestlestock… And a contract to sign.
“God Hates a Coward” by Tomahawk plays and Tempest appears at the top of the ramp, flanked by Kosnar and Pisces. Of course, Daedalus is there too, standing behind the trio with a smirk. The Astro Creeps make their way down to the ring and climb in, Tempest leading the way. It’s Daedalus who has the microphone, who is now standing in front of the Creeps.
Daedalus: A date, you say? With the Tempest?
He glances sideways at Tempest, who shrugs, his gaze fixing on the UGWC World Heavyweight Championship.
Daedalus: For the last two and a half years, Tempest has been biding his time. He’s been doing things that no one else in this company does. He’s been enjoying himself. People like you, and Rogan, and the Arsonist, you’re all so caught up in capturing the highest prize here. You’re all obsessed with the World championship.
He holds up an index finger as Lucy lifts the microphone to interject.
Daedalus: Now, there’s nothing wrong with fixating on that. In fact, Tempest is fixated on it right now. However, the rest of you? You’re all so one dimensional. It was by design that Tempest spent as much time as he did in the Chaos Championship division. Was it not the hottest division when he was its main attraction? When he was the Chaos champion, did he not defeat the holders of all the other championships? He did.
The arena grows silent as Daedalus makes his points.
Daedalus: It was by design that Tempest spent as much time as he did in the Cross-Hemisphere Championship division. It was cut short, of course. And if… Konrad Raab… wants to believe that he was the reason Tempest stepped away for a period of time, we’ll let him. But it isn’t true. In fact, that’s been a running joke in Gnaw Bone. What’s the real reason Tempest stepped away from the business?
He looks around at the other Creeps, who seem to be cheerful behind all of their masks.
Daedalus: The world may never know. But… we’ve got bigger fish to fry, so to speak… don’t we Lucy?
He grins at the World Heavyweight Champion.
Daedalus: If Tempest’s time spent in the Chaos division, and the Cross-Hemisphere division were by design… wouldn’t you think that this opportunity that he’s captured is by design, as well? Have you ever known the Tempest to fail, when he’s grasped the opportunities that he has?
Lucy takes a step forward, into the face of Daedalus.
Lucy Wylde: I gotta give it to you, I get why Tempest lets you do all of this for him.
She motions to the microphone in his hand as she continues.
Lucy Wylde: BUT ‘we’ don’t have a date for this belt, sweetheart.
Lucy proceeds to move Daedalus out of her way, forcefully. She takes another step forward towards Tempest.
Lucy Wylde: But WE do. Maybe everything you’ve done is by design, I don’t know. And if it is? Good for you. You’re a man with a plan. Or are you a man going by someone else's plan? Either way, I’ve never discounted the shit you’ve done or how much you’ve accomplished. But when your little mouthpiece over there said that you’ve beaten every other champion… He neglected to mention me, didn’t he? Who was the one to cut your Chaos title reign short? Hmmm?
She pauses for a moment, her eyes narrowing on her opponent.
Lucy Wylde: Me. Is that something to write home about? Probably not, but either way you’ve earned your opportunity and here I am, welcoming your challenge with open arms.
Tempest stares at her for a long time before grabbing the microphone from Daedalus. Now he steps forward, moving ever closer to the champion.
Tempest: You… you are right.
He basically spits the admission like a bad taste out of his mouth.
Tempest: You’ve had my number since the second half of two thousand twenty. I haven’t been able to get under your skin the same way I’ve gotten under others. I even crawl beneath the surface of Sloane Taylor and Sebastian Everett-Bryce. But you? I don’t know…
He paces away from her, with an arm around his back and looking down at the mat.
Tempest: It’s as if you don’t even see me. You’ve frustrated me for nearly two years, Ms. Wylde. And no one else in this industry can say the same.
He pauses, silence filling the arena. A chant begins, much to Tempest’s dismay.
UGWC Fans: Lu-Cy Wy-lde! *Clap clap clapclapclap* Lu-Cy Wy-lde *Clap clap clapclapclap*
The Spider King turns to the fans and screams.
Tempest: That ends at Wrestlestock! You can dub her the heroine all you want! But this isn’t a movie! This isn’t a comic book! The hero doesn’t always win here! In fact, I’ve stabbed to death more happy endings for heroes here than anyone even realizes! Either directly, or indirectly! And you know what!? All of you high society fans have never even acknowledged it! So at Wrestlestock, as I crawl on top of the lifeless body of the Dark Lady… just remember I’ll make my home in the World Championship division, just as I did the others. I’ll burrow in that nest, I’ll sit upon that throne, and I’ll carry that belt… for a really long time.
Lucy grins.
Lucy Wylde: Maybe you will. But will it be at my expense? Or will I just continue… Frustrating you?
Tempest nods, then tilts his head and stares at Lucy with his one good eye.
Tempest: According to Matthew 23:12, those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. For the last two and a half years, I’ve made a career out of humbling the exalted. Don’t think you’ll escape that… fate... forever.
Lucy tilts her head to match Tempests.
Lucy Wylde: …And I’ve made a career out of making the best out of whatever fate befalls me.
Tempest stares at Lucy for a few seconds, but she doesn’t flinch. Tempest turns away in frustration and Daedalus takes the microphone from him.
Daedalus: You know, you talk about how you make the best out of situations… well, what do you make of the situation you’re in… right now?
He smirks as Kosnar and Pisces both take a step forward. Tempest glances over his shoulder, watching suddenly with interest.
Lucy shakes her head.
Lucy Wylde: I don’t know, all I can think about is how scared you must be that Tempest is going to fail. That must be why you’re all out here, doing his work for him.
The instant she finishes her sentence, she launches her mic into the face of Daedalus - Distracting him while she turns on her heels and hits a superkick on Pisces but she’s quickly overrun when Kosnar and Tempest charge forward at the same time and overpower her. The two Creeps alternate forearms to her back as she crumbles to the mat. Pisces gets to her feet now and the three appear to have Lucy right where they want her, with Kosnar and Pisces holding her up by her shoulders. Tempest is in front of her, leaning close to her ear and whispering something, before taking a step back and preparing to attack.
There’s some restlessness in the crowd, and Tempest turns his attention to it. Suddenly he shouts something at Kosnar and Pisces and the camera pans to the ramp, where Baltimore Elite are sprinting down to the ring!
Kosnar and Pisces drop Lucy and turn just in time for Kyra to attack Pisces, and Ken taking it to Kosnar. Ken hits a flurry of punches that sends Kosnar backwards, and finishes with a clothesline. Kosnar tumbles over the top rope and to the outside where he lands on his feet. Ken doesn’t stop, climbing to the outside and continuing his attack. On the other side, Kyra has done the same with Pisces, giving her everything she can handle. Daedalus has slithered to the outside himself, away from the carnage.
In the meantime, Lucy's back up to her feet, standing behind Tempest. Daedalus notices and begins yelling to Tempest but amid the crowd, Tempest doesn't hear him right away. When he does, he turns around, and into a spear, driving him down into the mat! Lucy's back up in a matter of seconds, backing herself into the far corner…waiting for Tempest to get to his knees.
Daedalus rushes towards Tempests location, but not before he rises to his knees and Lucy rushes forward like a flash, Punting him in the side of the head with a vicious 'Keep your Chin up!' Tempest is down again and Lucy kneels with a knee on his head as she reaches for the contract on the table, signing it and throwing it down upon his back before she grabs the UGWC World title and slips out of the ring, waving at Daedalus as she regroups with Kyra and Ken.
Daedalus gets to Tempest safely after Lucy leaves the ring. Blood is trickling from under his mask and onto the canvas, but he comes to and manages to get up to his knees. He gazes out at Lucy, Ken, and Kyra, tilting his head once more.
He slowly grasps the contract and its clipboard, running his right hand up under his mask. When he brings it back down, he signs the contract with his own blood from the cut given to him by Lucy. Next to him, Daedalus grabs the contract from him and lifts it into the air, showing it to Lucy as he shouts incoherently.
Nick Vinegar: That’s all the time we have tonight! Lucy Wylde and Tempest have signed their World Championship contract for Wrestlestock! And it’s going to be a violent one! Goodnight everybody! We’ll see you in the desert!
