We're kicked off with a big announcement!
Ezra out first, followed by Pierce. The commentary team makes reference to the San Diego Comic Con and plugs Pierce’s appearance at the event. The match starts off quickly, with both men countering each other’s moves. Ezra rolls out of an arm drag from Pierce after Pierce ducks a clothesline that was preceded by Ezra baseball sliding between Pierce’s legs after an Irish whip to the ropes.
Ezra slides out of the ring after the arm drag and rummages underneath. He seems absolutely thrilled with what he finds as he comes back out holding an action figure of Kang The (K)onqueror and slides back into the ring. Pierce is waiting for him, however, as he did some rummaging himself, and hits Ezra over the head with a hardback cover of The Walking Dead graphic novel.
He follows it up with a string of suplexes that eventually sends Ezra back to the outside. Pierce follows him and continues the attack on the outside, tossing him into the barricade and clotheslining him into the crowd. Pierce climbs over himself, and it looks like the action is going to continue through the fans, until Ezra fights back, blocking a punch and hitting one of his own, followed by a kick to the thigh and a rapid fire cluster of strikes that lets Travis have a turn leaning against the barricade. Ezra rushes forward and dropkicks Pierce back over and to the ringside area.
Ezra rolls Pierce back into the ring and digs under it once more, this time struggling as he backpedals and drags a heavy object out. When he does, Covert Jay and Lieberjosch have a debate about whether it’s a microwave or a safe and Vinegar can be heard exhaling in annoyance in the headset. As Pierce leans down between the ropes to grab him, Ezra swings and connects with Pierce’s dome, dropping him to the mat. Ezra drops the… object… with a clatter and slides into the ring to make the cover and gets the win.

The two battle it out over the neutral momentum and it’s Vespertine that gains it, hitting some very vicious, hard strikes. She makes an attempt at hitting him with Epically Diva, but Rydell manages to dodge it, leaving Vespertine landing on her back. He charges forward and is monkey flipped upside down into the turnbuckle for his efforts.
Vespertine wastes little time as she rushes to stomp on him in his awkward position. Rydell, after a few moments, is finally able to fight her off, kicking her in the chin and sending her backwards. He crawls to his feet and hits an arm drag, followed by a DDT as Vespertine quickly got to her feet and charged forward. Rydell picks her up and whips her into the ropes. She again reverses and sends Rydell instead. On the return, she goes for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker that ends in a tragic Virus of Life out of nowhere!
