We return from the break to Vinegar letting us know that Ken Davison was found attacked and left unconscious backstage. They speculate on whether it was Wolf and Pax who attacked, but there doesn’t seem to have been any footage caught. He’s not going to be able to compete in the upcoming triple threat!
The opening bell sounds and Vespertine wastes no time going after Travis Pierce. Commentary makes note that this is a rematch from the semi finals of the Wrestle Stock open which Travis Pierce won, but now Vespertine has a shot at redemption. Vespertine is clubbing at Travis Pierce with lefts and rights, along with knee strikes, slowly moving him into the corner. Travis is trying to block and cover up but to no avail. Vespertine pulls Travis out with a monkey flip to the middle of the ring.
Vespertine drops down for mounted punches but Travis reverses and rolls her over and hits some of his own. The referee breaks it up and the two get to their feet. They lock up and put on a good 2 minutes of chain wrestling, ending with Vespertine nailing an arm drag. She charges at a rising Pierce and hit’s a swinging neckbreaker for a quick 2 count. She pulls Travis up but he squirms behind her and goes for The Breakdown but she hip tosses him and hits a hard elbow drop. Travis quickly rolls away to get up. Vespertine goes back on the defensive as Travis rushes her, but she dodges a forearm smash. Travis rushes her again and gets caught with a float over DDT!
Vespertine doesn’t cover and instead pulls Travis up but he shoves her away. She charges back at him and Travis kicks her in the gut and lifts her on his shoulders for Signing Off. Vespertine floats out and spins Travis around and hits Breaking The Bank! She covers for a long 2 count. She pulls Travis up but he gets behind her and nails her with The Breakdown! Cover for a long 2 count of his own. After a few seconds of rest, Travis pulls Vespertine up to go for Signing Off again but, again, she floats out. She kicks Travis in the back of the leg and hits the ropes.
Vespertine ducks a clothesline from Travis and gets him in a reverse waistlock. German Suplex but it’s blocked! Travis throws and elbow which staggers Vespertine. He grabs her for a German of his own but she floats over the back. She shoves him into the ropes, chest first. He bounces backwards and she leapfrogs over. They both hit opposite ropes but Travis catches her with The Truth Hurts for 3!
Winner: Travis Pierce
Time: 9:12
After the match, the Creative Director appears to congratulate Travis and Vespertine, confirming Pierce will be the final entrant to the Run of the Mill match, but also declaring Vespertine the #1 Contender for the Cross Hemisphere Championship at RotM!! Vespertine will challenge Phrixus Deimos at the pay per view!
Tempest is out first, followed by Dave Rydell who just eyeballs the special referee. The World Champion is out next, doing the same thing, but shifts her focus back to Dave. Tempest signals for the bell and we are underway. We get an excellent series of chain wrestling from the two competitors which concluded with Dave hitting a final hip-toss on Lucy, but she floated into a superhero landing on one knee, and both stared each other down to a massive applause from the crowd. Tempest is insisting they get to the match as they give a nod of respect to one another. Lucy grabs Dave and sends him off the ropes. She drops for a back body drop but Dave hits the brakes and clubs her in the back. He drops down for the Rydell Lock but Lucy breaks out and gets separation.
Tempest gets in Dave’s face telling him that if he tries that again, he will be disqualified but he waves him off. He goes right back after Lucy who hits a drop toe hold. She drops down for a single leg crab but Dave rolls over and uses his other leg to push her off. Lucy stumbles right into Tempest, who then gives Lucy a warning. As Dave is getting up, Lucy gives Tempest the finger, who sells it ridiculously, flailing his arms about ranting about being the official. Lucy turns back to Dave and they lock up, trading standing holds. Lucy gets Dave in a side headlock but Dave shoves her off the ropes and leapfrogs over her on the rebound. As she returns, Dave hits the ropes and swings for a clothesline but Lucy ducks. Dave hits the ropes again and they both hit a double flying cross body into each other and are both down for a few seconds. Dave is up first and Lucy right after.
Lucy grabs Dave as he turns but he keeps momentum and sends her into the corner. He quickly gets in there and starts hitting body shots and forearms to the head. Tempest gets in there and breaks it up and Dave starts getting frustrated and gets in his face, but silently. As Dave turns around, Lucy sends Dave into the corner and does the same. Tempest gets right in there and breaks it up, giving them both a warning to keep it clean; which they are. Both Dave and Lucy look at each other and then look at Tempest. Dave signals for Tempest to go to him, so he does, but Lucy sneaks behind him and hits a back breaker! He springs right into an After Shock from Dave! Lucy grabs Tempest and hurls him over the top rope to ringside and the crowd goes nuts.
Commentary talks about how they just ruined the match but their problem is gone, for now. Dave and Lucy lock up, and start shoving back and forth trying to get the upper hand. Dave knees her in the gut but she catches it and hits a dragon screw. She charges and hits a quick dropkick on Dave as he’s trying to get up. She pulls him up and sends him into the ropes but he comes back with a clothesline. Lucy ducks but Dave catches her and hits a reverse neck breaker. Dave grabs Lucy and lifts her into a stalling suplex but Lucy floats out and rolls through for a roll up. Dave continues the roll and as she’s getting up he hits a running knee to her face! Dave picks Lucy up and the two go back and forth with various suplexes. Dave hits a triple German suplex and then takes a minute for a break. Dave picks up Lucy and sends her into the ropes but she handsprings….MINDBLOW!!! Both are down for a bit. They both stagger up and start trading hands.
Tempest comes back in the ring and gets between Dave and Lucy. He shoves Lucy back and then shoves Dave back. He calls for the bell, declaring a no contest.
Winner: No Contest
Time: 12:48
After the bell rings, both Dave and Lucy look at each other and shrug. Dave cold clocks Tempest who spins right into Wylde Liberation! Tempest bounces off the mat and Dave immediately follows up with the Rydell Stomp! Dave turns to the crowd and plays to the fans while Lucy trash talks Tempest. Dave turns around and stalks Lucy! The crowd is exploding! She turns around and Dave goes for the Virus of Life but Lucy shoves him forward and rolls out of the ring! Dave turns and starts chuckling as he signals he was “that close” and Lucy gives him a golf clap. Tempest is starting to stir in the ring and Dave starts to stalk him and as he stumbles around, VIRUS OF LIFE! Dave points to Lucy and then signals around his waist for the World Title as Lucy holds the World Title overhead.
The Black Ice doesn’t even wait for the bell, catching the Conquest Champion with a Lou Thesz press as he’s entering the ring. He pounds on Rogan for a while, before dragging him to his feet and whipping him off the rope. A back suplex puts MacLean in position for Raab to pull him into an anaconda vice.
Rogan manages to power to the ropes and force the break, then turns and kicks Konrad away. He explodes up to hit a stun gun, then a series of haymakers that rock Raab into the opposite ropes. The Dark Man gets a running start, then nails Konrad with a knee to the face that sends him over the top rope and crashing down to the floor below.
Climbing the corner, MacLean picks his moment and leaps as Konrad is getting up, hitting a flying elbow drop that knocks Raab back off his feet. Rogan lifts him up and drops him, chest first, onto the apron before rolling him back in. There’s a cover for two, but Konrad manages to kick free.
The competitors separate and go to opposite corners for a moment, but it isn’t long before they run at each other again. Konrad ducks a massive clothesline attempt, then leaps onto the turnbuckle, turning about to hit a flying body splash on MacLean. He runs to the opposite corner and hops up, turning to leap off for a flying knee drop.
Rogan rolls away, and Raab only hits the mat. MacLean capitalizes, getting a deadlift German suplex. He’s about to scoop Konrad up, but the Black Ice rolls out under the bottom rope. MacLean leans out to grab at him, but Raab sneaks a jab with his mace, unseen by the ref. Rogan staggers back, holding his mouth which is leaking blood.
Konrad leaps up onto the apron, then over the ropes, flowing seamlessly into a set up for The Black Ice Storm, but Rogan sees it coming and ducks down to catch Raab up into an electric chair drop. He follows this up with Ode to Megaton, and that’s enough to get a three count!
Winner: Rogan MacLean
Time: 8:53
The ref raises Rogan’s hand and Rhombus takes the now vacant Conquest Championship belt. As Mitchell Dennis is declaring Rogan the new #1 Contender to the World Championship, Raab comes out of nowhere and clobbers him with the flanged German mace. MacLean goes flat on the mat as Konrad winds up and hits him again! Security rushes the ring, dragging Konrad away after he lays a few of them out. The medical team is checking on Rogan as the show comes to a close.
