Your Synergy coverage begins, now…
We start with all three competitors in the ring circling each other. Both the World Champion, and The Embodiment of Fear both appear to be somewhat unsure of what to make of the newcomer. He waves his hand in front of his face and yells something. We can’t make it out because of his hand, and also because it would be blatant gimmick infringement and we don’t want to get sued. Anyway, John Blade decides to start the match by making a statement and charges Lucy Wylde. She sidesteps his charge and kicks him in the back of the knee. Blade smiles and waggles a finger at her before he advances on her and goes for a test of strength. Deimos, ever the wily one, decides that he’s perfectly happy to let Blade and Wylde wear each other out and leans back in the corner with his arms laced behind his head.
Blade attempts the test of strength but Wylde ducks under it and kicks him in the back of the leg again. He takes a wild swing at her, but she ducks under it and dropkicks him in the back, staggering him a bit. She follows it up with a superkick that catches him flush on the chin and sends him stumbling back into the corner. He smacks into it back first as Lucy runs up the ropes, leaps off and wraps her arm around his head for a tornado DDT as he half staggers, half falls out of the corner. She leaps, but the DDT doesn’t connect as Blade shows his strength by jerking her up onto his shoulders and hitting his Fireman’s Carry Powerslam. It seems a bit early in the match to go for his finisher, but you do you, John.
Lucy lands with a loud thud and Blade drops on top of her for the cover, seemingly forgetting that there’s a third member of the match. Phrixus lets Sam Green get to a two count before he reminds Blade that he’s there by nearly punting his head into the tenth row. Blade flops over onto his back as the little cartoon birds circle his head. Phrixus drops on top for the pin and gets to two point nine before Lucy lurches at him and shoves him off. The two pop up and pull Blade up at the same time. Lucy goes low with a leg sweep while Deimos slams Blade down on the back of his head with “The Numbing.” If they weren’t opponents, that might make a cool CoOp finisher. They pull Blade up and launch him over the top rope to the outside, then turn on each other.
What follows is a master class in technical wrestling as they go move for move. Lucy starts with an arm drag, which Phrixus rolls through, holds onto Lucy’s hand and counters with one of his own. Lucy lands and immediately throws a textbook dropkick that momentarily takes Deimos down. He pops back up and throws a dropkick of his own when Lucy charges in at him. He pulls her off of the canvas with a waist lock and throws her over head with a belly-to-belly suplex. Lucy rotates through it and lands on her feet, drawing a nod of approval from Deimos. The two lock up again and Deimos ends up locking her in a belly to back waist lock. Lucy gets out of it with a standing switch and attempts a belly to back suplex of her own, but Deimos blocks it, breaks her grip and spins around, locking her into a belly-to-belly hold that he quickly turns into a suplex. This time Lucy doesn’t land on her feet and Deimos goes to advance on her when he’s suddenly knocked down by a flying shoulder block out of nowhere.
Blade pulls Deimos up and drops him with a thunderous spinning sitout powerbomb, then leaps up, runs the ropes and drives Deimos into the mat with a running bulldog. Lucy charges at him only to get a Lou Thesz press and repeated punches to her face for her efforts. He lifts his arm to rain down another one, but Deimos catches his arm, spins him around and plants him with a DDT. He pulls Blade up and drops him with a neckbreaker, then the “Fainting.” He pops to his feet and walks right into a “Wylde Liberation.” Deimos rolls out of the ring, and Lucy connects with “Keep Your Chin Up” on Blade and gets the three count!
Winner: Lucy Wylde

LE SQUASH.
Winner: Zane Scott
Time: 1:09
DELICIOUS SQUASH.
Winner: Ken Davison
Time: 1:12
Covert Jay points out that Davison attempted to go for a submission, which probably would have locked down the block for him, but the power of the mighty squash overcame it.
Donovan comes out, following by Captain 80’s. SEB is out next, followed by the bumbling buffoon. 80’s and Dark Destroyer start the match off and start to grapple, but Captain 80’s helps him back up, as DD is his friend. The lock up again and Captain 80’s hits a textbook suplex on him and an elbow drop. He pulls up the Destroyer and sends him into the corner. SEB blind tags in, as his partner got sent to his corner. Captain 80’s goes to send Destroyer across the ring towards Donovan but SEB is right there to stop any follow up. Donovan hits a vicious elbow to the side of DD’s head while SEB hits a German on Captain 80’s. SEB looks across at Donovan and motions for him to come in. He then whips Captain 80’s to their corner and Donovan tags in.
Both SEB and Donovan lock up, completing a long series of chain wrestling that ends with a thunderous approval from the crowd. Donovan smirks and mouths something to SEB, who laughs and says something back. Donovan hits a hard forearm shot to SEB, but SEB fires right back. Now it’s a slug fest between the two. Lefts and rights, back and forth. The crowd is exploding!
Donovan sends SEB into his teams corner and DD accidentally blind tags in. DD stumbles into the ring and is immediately met with a running knee strike from Donovan! DD falls right back down to the mat. Donovan drags him to the middle for a cover, but only gets 2 as SEB breaks it up. Donovan pulls DD up and sends him to his own corner and Captain 80’s tags in. Donovan is pissed but obliges to get to the apron.
Captain 80’s grabs his friend and goes for a scoop slam but DD somehow floats out, completely by accident. He staggers away and Captain 80’s grabs him for a back suplex! Captain 80’s picks DD back up and hits a sidewalk slam, followed by a cover, but SEB breaks that up. He hits a hard stomp on Captain 80’s and drags DD to their corner, tags in, and comes in charging at his opponents. He hits a clothesline on Captain 80’s, then rushes Donovan and clobbers him off of the apron. SEB turns around to a rising Captain 80’s and hits the Empire Kick! He covers for 3 as Donovan barely makes it back into the ring.
Winner: Sebastian Everett-Bryce and Dark Destroyer
Time: 6:49
The early going is largely dominated by Rydell as Orson seems distracted, probably as a result of the attack by former friend and stablemate Rogan MacLean the week before. This allows Rydell to punish him with early power moves before he flattens the eccentric Orson with the “Tip of the Spear.” From the spear he transitions to submission holds, focusing on Orson’s arms with armbars, an arm breaker across his shoulder, a DDT with Orson’s arm folded under him, a superkick to his shoulder, a swinging neck breaker to ground him, and finally a Rydell Bomb that focuses on Orson’s shoulder. He goes for the pin and Orson kicks out at two, and with a slight wince. Rydell immediately pulls him up and dumps him onto his shoulder with a side suplex, then locks in a second armbar. Orson manages to struggle to the bottom rope and Brian Chartreuse calls for the break, which Rydell does, but only after Chartreuse gets to four.
Rydell gets up and goes to pull Orson up but gets caught by surprise by a palm strike to his jaw. He stumbles back and Orson kips up, then leaps forward and catches him squarely in the chest with a painful looking kick. It sends him careening into the corner and Orson follows it up with a leaping knee strike to Rydell’s chin, then a flurry of open hand palm strikes and forearm shots to his face before he violently yanks Rydell and demolishes him with a particularly painful looking uppercut that sends Rydell crumpling to the mat. It wasn’t quite “Black”, but Rydell probably still isn’t seeing much after it, regardless of what it’s called. Instead of going for the pin afterward, he pulls Rydell up and dumps him onto his head a few times with a selection of suplex variations, followed by numerous vicious kicks to his head until Chartreuse must push him away to check on Rydell.
Orson seems impatient and almost annoyed by this, and as soon as Chartreuse clears Rydell, Orson goes back onto the attack. He runs at Rydell, who upends him and flips him over the top rope and to the outside. Orson lands roughly on the weakened arm as Rydell climbs out to the apron. As soon as Orson gets to his feet, Rydell leaps off looking for a double axe handle to said shoulder. He catches a thrust kick to the chest instead, which throws him back into the side of the ring. He slams into it hard and bounces off, straight into roundhouse to the ribs from Orson, who then grabs him and suplexes him into the announcer’s table. Unfortunately for Rydell it doesn’t break and he loudly thuds into it. Orson mounts the table and begins to violently rain punches down. This works until Rydell catches him in the solar plexus, the gives Orson an uppercut of his own, which flips him from the table to the floor. Hard.
Rydell pulls him up and rolls him back into the ring. He pulls Holden up, throws him into the ropes and slams into him with a second “Tip of the Spear.” He flips Holden over, pulls his arms up and crushes his face into the mat with “The Rydell Stomp”, then pulls him up and gives him “The Virus of Life” for an exclamation point before he flips him over and pins him.
Winner: Dave Rydell

Some significant history between these two, as this match rekindles one of the epic rivalries of 2020 that culminated at that year’s Horizons.
JC doesn’t waste any time, immediately going for the Big Boot of Death, but Tempest manages to evade it, dropping to the ground and rolling to the outside. Tempest regroups and turns back to the ring, but JC has exited the ring on a different side and comes charging around the ring, blindsiding Tempest and knocking him down. JC hurls Tempest into the steps, and moments later hurls him into the barricade, as JC seems entirely unconcerned with the match itself.
JC sends Tempest back into the ring, as Glenn Burke admonishes him for his actions. JC brushes him off and rolls into the ring, but Tempest pounces on him, flailing, scratching, and clawing at him. JC blocks as best he can and shoves Tempest away, but as he charges for his own attack Tempest catches him with Tiptoe Thru the Tulips, stomping JC into the mat. Tempest covers, but JC shoves him off at two.
Tempest begins stomping on JC in an unorthodox manner, and he pulls JC up and goes to whip him across the ring, but JC reverses it and sends Tempest across the ring, only to run perpendicular into the ropes and come back with Dance Macabre! The impact sends Tempest sprawling across the ring, meanwhile JC rolls out of the ring and storms to the timekeeper’s table, where Claude de Rhombus dives protectively on top of the ring bell, vacating his chair which JC snaps up. JC slides into the ring with the chair and waffles Tempest with it! Glenn Burke calls for the bell!
Winner: Tempest via Disqualification
Time: 5:51
JC continues the assault, as commentary states the obvious that JC never seemed concerned with winning the match. JC rains blows upon Tempest, but Zane Scott rushes out from backstage with a chair of his own, sliding into the ring with it and prompting JC to finally leave. Zane stares at the fallen man that he’ll face next week with the top spot in Block A on the line, and throws the chair at his feet.
