The screen is dark, and a voiceover by Rob Cartwright is heard.
Cartwright: This is the true story of a group of Entertainment Professionals chosen for superiority who have had their lives taped to find out what happens when life gets…pierced…The Piercing Life.
A flashy logo is shown.
Cartwright: Previously, on Synergy…
Footage is shown of Travis winning his final round robin match by countout.
Cut to Travis in the confessional.
Pierce: So the match that I needed to win by submission to get five points, and not only do I not get the submission, but I don’t even get the pin, just a two point countout. You know what? I can give credit where it’s due. Ken made a strategic move and it paid off for him. I’m not going to sit here and pretend I wouldn’t have done the same thing. It’s a play I was ready for, but what I admit I wasn’t ready for was having to deal with it from both sides, not only from Ken, but Rogan on the other side. And that? Well, I’ll come back to that. But in the meantime, now I’ve got Tempest.
A quick series of images of Tempest is shown before cutting back to Travis.
Pierce: A match for a title shot of my choice, but not the World Title? I mean, we’re fully focused on the World Title at this point. That’s where this story ends. I’m not really engaged by by going for another title at this point. But Tempest? I’d say there’s unfinished business there, wouldn’t you?
Highlights are shown from both last year’s Battleground Match and the Run of the Mill Match.
Pierce: All of this started with Tempest. Both Battleground and Run of the Mill were places where I was looking to reestablish myself on top, and at both events I watched Tempest take my spotlight, take that position for himself.
Footage is shown of the World Title Match at Massive Melee.
Pierce: And then, of course, there was our one-on-one match for the World Title. That should have been my shining moment, but Tempest kept trying to shift the narrative. This is supposed to be my story, but Tempest was more concerned with making things about his drama with Lucy Wylde. Tempest thinks himself a fantastic storyteller, but he’s not the icon of entertainment. However, we have to take a moment and look at what is really happening here.
Pierce: Two people disrupting my Synergy match to keep me out of the finals? Another match with Tempest? And who is the Creative Director now? It’s Daedalus. This is an Astro Creep conspiracy, and here at the Piercing Media Network, we’re not going to stand for that. We’re not going to let this go. So we pledge to you now, I pledge to you now, I’m not going to let this attempt to stop our movement, to silence our story, it’s not going to happen. We WILL be heard. The Hollywood ending for Travis Pierce WILL come to pass. Infinity is where the storm is finally silenced, so just remember it’s not my fault that the truth…hurts.
Travis winks to the camera as we fade out…
