This is the third title defense as Conquest Champion for Tony Savage, who has been on a tear since returning to action two months ago.
Cervantes pantomimes some shadow boxing, teasing Savage, who is not amused. Savage swings with a punch that Cervantes evades with a flourish, taking a bow towards the crowd, but as he turns back around Savage stiffs him in the face with a haymaker, covering until Cervantes pushes him off at two and rolls out of the ring, trying to shake it off.
Savage calmly beckons Cervantes back into the ring with both hands, but Cervantes does it right back to him, beckoning Savage out of the ring. Savage rolls his eyes and now does his own legitimate shadow boxing, and Cervantes feints coming back into the ring, but Savage doesn’t bite.
The referee starts to count Monty out, and without an alternative he quickly jumps up onto the apron and springboards off the top rope, but Savage sidesteps before hooking Cervantes and shoving him into the corner. Savage works Cervantes over, connecting with Ten Piece and a Biscuit, finishing with an uppercut that takes Cervantes off his feet. Savage backs away, then charges back in looking for a high knee, but Cervantes ducks out under the bottom rope, and as Savage collides with the turnbuckle Cervantes uses the ropes to slingshot himself back in on the other side of the corner, connecting with the Carousel Kick! Savage stumbles towards the center of the ring, and Cervantes cracks him with a spinning back fist to further stagger him before running towards the ropes, ascending and springing back into Lament For a Toy Factory! Cervantes covers, but Savage gets his shoulder up at two!
Monty springboards again as Savage is getting up, but Savage catches him in the Spinebuster to End ALL Spinebusters, as Hans notes on commentary that Savage is likely irritated by the flippy dippy spot monkey nonsense. Savage hooks the leg, but Monty kicks out at two.
Savage starts to bring Monty back to his feet, but Monty cracks him with a chop to the chest, and Savage retaliates with a haymaker that knocks Monty on his ass. Savage lifts Cervantes into position for Dead to Rights, but Cervantes slips off behind him, and delivers a dropkick to the back that sends Savage face first into the corner! Monty slips out to the apron and slingshots into the STL! Cervantes covers and gets the three!
Winner: Montague Cervantes
Time: 10:41
Both of these two will be a part of the Battleground Match in two weeks time.
Double elbow tie-up, but Tact overpowers the smaller Ezra and forces him back into the corner. Tact repeatedly drives his shoulder into Ezra’s chest, until the referee intervenes and backs him away. Tact sidesteps the referee and charges back in again, but runs right into a boot from Ezra. Tact stumbles back, and Ezra unleashes a combination of strikes that stagger him, and then connects with a superkick to the knee before completing the Lightning Strike. Ezra quickly covers, but Tact shoves him off at two.
Ezra brings Tact back to his feet and chops him in the chest, but Tact ducks the Fore’n Object and lifts Ezra into a brutal spinebuster! Tact lifts Ezra into a gutwrench suplex, and follows up by lifting him into a torture rack, before spinning Ezra out into the Tactilizer! Tact covers, but Ezra gets his shoulder up at two!
Tact brings Ezra back to his feet, but Ezra shoves him away, and connects with Kickin’ It Old School! Both men are down and the referee starts the ten count, but they both begin to stir at six. Ezra goes for the Point Break, but Tact ducks under it and runs towards the ropes, using them to build momentum and charging back to connect with a running high knee! Tact looking for the Starbreaker, he lifts Ezra into the powerbomb position, but Ezra floats off and escapes, landing in front of Tact and connecting with the Knee Jerk Reaction! Ezra steps through the ropes and climbs the turnbuckle, leaping for the Gravity Falls, and he lands it! Ezra covers, and gets the three!
Winner: Ezra Wolf
Time: 7:22
The bell rings, and both Ken Davison and Phrixus Deimos burst into action. Davison launches a fierce offensive assault. Deimos executes a picture-perfect moonsault from the top rope, catching Davison off-guard.
First pinfall attempt goes to Deimos, but Davison counters by rolling into a torture crab. Deimos manages to break free, but with a stunning pendulum backbreaker, Ken leaves Deimos momentarily incapacitated. He hits an overhead belly to back suplex, then sets up for the Jawdropper. Ken has the cover now, but Fear kicks out at the last possible moment.
Davison tries for another torture crab, but Deimos, displaying his resilience, counters with an ankle lock. They each kick the other away, but Fear recovers first, and dropkicks Ken before he can get up past his knees. Grabbing Ken, he hits a facebuster, and then a DDT.
It looks like he might have this one in the bag after he hits a Meteor Press and covers, but Burke gets pulled out of the ring mid count. It’s Montague Cervantes, and he leaps up to hit Deimos with an STL! He rouses Ken, then slides out to get Burke back to his feet. Glen slides in as Ken shakes out the cobwebs enough to cover and get the win!
Confused, he turns to see Montague on the ramp, who sweeps his hat off and bows before exiting.
Winner: Ken Davison
Time: 11:24
This one is intense as both men roll out of the ring almost before the bell stops ringing. They meet each other right in front of the Hieroglyphic Announce Table, Travis brandishing a baseball bat and Sebastian swinging a lead pipe. Blows ring out as they unleash their fury, but the champion suddenly scoops Pierce up and sophisticatedly suplexes him onto the announce table.
After lashing Travis a few times with the pipe, he climbs up on the table and continues the beating with overhead swings. Travis manages to roll away from once, making SEB smack the table top. Momentarily shook, Seb pauses and gets caught in a drop toehold off the table!
Piercing Blow from the announce table! The Icon pounces on Seb, going for the pinfall, and the win, but Seb manages to kick out at two.
Travis goes to retrieve the bat, but just as he gets it in his hand, Seb superkicks him from behind. Pierce spins around as he falls, launching the bat longways at Seb, smashing him in the face and causing him to crumple to the ground.
Both men writhe for a few minutes, but they begin stumbling to their feet around the same time. They suddenly scramble, and soon they’re both armed once again. This time, Sebastian has a table, and he shoves it into the ring. Travis rolls in with a kendo stick, winding up as Seb also re-enters.
Sebastian ducks a swing fo the kendo, then comes up behind Pierce with a dropkick. Travis stumbles forward, tripping and then faceplanting on the table. Now Seb has the Kendo, and he goes to whack Travis, but Pierce kicks his legs from under him. They both break for the dropped kendo, and Travis gets it. He wallops Seb, knocking him flat.
Travis takes the moment to set the table up against the corner. He’s about to turn, but gets hit by an Empire Kick! That drives him through the leaning table, giving Seb the opening he needs to cover and retain!
