Knox enters to an interesting choice in music, which appears to catch him by surprise. The show cuts to inside the production truck, where JC is laughing and visibly pleased with himself. Meanwhile, commentary tells us that after the way last week’s match ended, that the Suplex Cops will defend the Cooperative Titles once again against Tragedia del’Arte at Chaos in Chelsea, this time in a Highwire Match!
Knox staring towards the backstage area, shakes his head about the music, and turns his attention to Ragdoll just as she reaches out and honks his nose. Knox is annoyed and goes for a quick uppercut strike, but Ragdoll sidesteps and cracks him with a back elbow before springboarding into a spinning heel kick. She goes for a quick cover, but Knox kicks out right away.
Shotgun dropkick sends Knox into a corner, and Ragdoll immediately follows up with a corner splash. Ragdoll grabs both feet of Knox and laughs, but Alice Nasmith intervenes and forces her to release and back away. Ragdoll pantomimes booping the referee’s nose before charging back towards Knox, but he has pulled himself up in the corner and greets her with a boot to the face. Ragdoll stumbles away, and Knox connects with a discus elbow, then grabs the staggering Ragdoll and sends her into the corner with an exploder suplex!
Knox sets Ragdoll up on the top turnbuckle, facing out to the crowd. He ascends to the second rope, and rips her off the turnbuckle into a German suplex! Knox rolls over and covers Ragdoll, but Cervantes has appeared at ringside and is up on the apron, distracting the referee as Nasmith tells him to get down. Knox gets to his feet and glares at Cervantes, and as he approaches the side of the ring, Cervantes drops down, his hands innocently up in the air.
Knox points at Cervantes and threatens him, but turns around into Murder She Wrote! Ragdoll covers, but Knox gets the shoulder up at two. Ragdoll pops to her feet and heads to a corner, where she starts trying to untie the turnbuckle. Nasmith intervenes, trying to stop her, meanwhile Cervantes is in the ring and plants the stirring Knox with a DDT! Cervantes leaves the ring as Ragdoll ends the argument, and she connects on Knox with Full Metal Jacky! Ragdoll covers and gets the three!
Winner: Ragdoll
Time: 7:13
Cervantes re-enters the ring and Tragedia del’Arte taunts the downed Knox, but the crowd erupts as JC rushes out from backstage! JC slides into the ring and nearly takes Ragdoll’s head off with the Big Boot of Death! Cervantes swings at JC, but JC blocks it and whips Cervantes off the ropes, before running perpendicular and connects with Dance Macabre, launching Cervantes into the air out of the ring! Knox is back on his feet, and connects on Ragdoll with Into the Void!
Both men make their entrances as the crowd reacts accordingly. The commentators note that the last time Ezekiel Pax had a singles match on Synergy was in April of 2015. Zane Scott and Pax circle up in the ring as the bell rings. The two competitors immediately charge at each other and it’s apparent that this isn’t going to be fancy as the two men clobber each other with rights and lefts. Zane, as the bigger of the two, gets the upper hand and gets Ezekiel backed into a corner. He continues lacing Pax with strikes until the referee has to physically get between them at the 4 count. Zane backs up without further issue although Zeke has other plans. He charges at Zane who seems ready for the attack and launches Pax into the air then catches him on the way down with MURDEROUS INTENT!
The surprise maneuver garners a two count as Pax kicks out just in time. Zane drags Zeke up to his feet by his hair and receivers a few shots to the gut in return. Zane shrugs them off, grabs Zeke by both ears and nails a standing headbutt. The grip he has on his opponent makes it where Zeke doesn’t fall from the impact and Zane winds back for another headbutt. Before he can strike, Zeke hits him with a two-handed chop to the threat, steps back to get space and nails KICKIN’ IT OLD SCHOOL! He scrambles into a cover only for Zane to kick out at 1!
Pax stays determined and hits his opponent with stomps to the head, neck, and shoulders before stepping back into the nearest turnbuckle. He waits for Zane to get to his feet and charges in. Pax attempts to hit his version of the Spear known as the HIGH BEAM only for Zane to counter with a high knee utilizing his knee brace. Pax stumbles backwards holding his head. He then charges back towards Zane who uses Zeke’s momentum against him and drops his foe with EXILED AND ERASED. The maneuver earns another two count.
Zane drags Pax up yet again and places him on his shoulders. Pax slides off and drops to a knee, suddenly unleashing a hellacious low blow to his opponent as Brian Chartreuse calls for the bell.
Winner: Zane Scott (by DQ)
Time: 10:10
Ezekiel Pax isn’t done yet as he executes a full mount and begin raining down right hands onto Zane Scott. He rolls out of the ring and digs underneath it, coming back out with a steel chair. As he slides back into the ring, he’s met by Ezra Wolf. He takes the chair from Ezekiel as the two men argue. He points at Zane although it’s unclear what is being said. In the meantime, Zane has made it back to his feet and he’s seething as he sees Ezra holding a chair. Ezra turns towards Zane and attempts to explain himself, but Zane isn’t listening as he takes a swing at Ezra. Ezra dodges and rolls out of the ring, joining Zeke who had already retreated.
Blade charges Hastings, only to faceplant when Hastings sidesteps and trips him. Blade jumps back up, only to have Hastings stomp on his foot and pie face him to the mat. Again, Blade is back up quickly, and this time he charges Hastings, who sidesteps him again and uses Blade’s own momentum to throw him over the top rope and to the floor. Hastings leans over the top rope and shakes his head in disgust.
Blade doesn’t stay down long, leaping up and throwing a “U Can’t See Me” at Hastings. Hastings rolls his eyes and tells Blade that he saw him fly over the top rope just fine. Blade slides in and launches himself at Hastings, who evades and kicks Blade square in the ass as he’s getting up from his landing. Blade stumbles forward, then catches everyone in the building by surprise, especially Hastings, when he suddenly springs up and flattens “The Lord of Pain” with a clothesline.
The next couple of minutes are Blade playing the hits. He keeps Hastings off balance with a barrage of running shoulder blocks, a couple of leaping elbow drops, a clothesline, a running bulldog, and then a spinning sitout powerbomb. He leaps up and throws both of his hands up to a moderate cheer, does another “U Can’t See Me” to Hastings, then runs the ropes and drops a fist between his eyes. Hastings rolls around holding his forehead, only for Blade to show his strength by deadlifting Hastings by the wrist onto his shoulders. He waves his hand in front of his face and flips Hastings off of his shoulders, only to rear back and grab at his eyes.
Hastings hits the floor and promptly pushes Blade into the turnbuckle chest first. Blade turns back toward Hastings, straight into a facebreaker DDT. Hastings mocks his “U Can’t See Me”, then holds his arms out in his own mocking pose before he kicks Blade in the side of the head. He pulls Blade up and lands a second facebreaker DDT, then proceeds to stomp the hell out of him before pulling him into a spinebuster. Hastings yanks him up and throws him shoulder first into the corner, then slams him chest first into it before squashing him into it with a running splash. He doesn’t give Blade time to recover, dropping him head first into the turnbuckle before pulling him up and drilling him into the mat with “Destiny’s Call” for the three.
Winner: Donovan Hastings
Time: 6:00
The camera catches up to Zane Scott as he comes out of the trainer's room. Ezekiel Pax had hoped to do more damage but a shot to the nuts and a few punches to the face were most definitely not enough to keep The Professional down. Just as the door to the room closes, Ezra Wolf comes into view. Zane grabs him by his shirt and lifts up against the wall.
"Bro!" Ezra exclaims, putting his hands up to show he doesn't mean any harm although Zane doesn't relinquish his grip. "I was out there to stop Zeke, my dude."
"Why?" Zane says through gritted teeth.
"Because I want to be the one to take you down. And I can do it WITHOUT a steel chair, bro."
Zane exhales a deep sigh. His grip loosens and Ezra's feet are now back on the floor. Ezra opens his mouth to say something else but isn't given time to as Zane shoves him hard against the wall. As Ezra crumples, Zane gets down on a knee in front of him.
"I don't trust either one of you. Soon enough you'll see that the enemy has been standing next you, kid. Not across the ring from you."
With that, Zane gets back to his feet and walks out of frame as scene switches back to the ringside area.
The opening bell sounds and Dave starts off against Larry. They lock up and do an impressive amount of chain wrestling, but nobody gets the “victory” in that. They stalemate. Travis rolls his eyes while Vain just keeps his eyes on Rydell, focused. Rydell looks over at Alan rolls his eyes and turns back to Larry. Larry tries to sneak attack but Rydell blocks it. He gets behind Tact and goes for a German. Larry floats out of it and shoves Dave forward. Dave pumps the brakes and turns around, and catches an elbow from Larry. Dave is staggered. Larry grabs him up and sends him into the corner. Tact chased but catches a boot to the face. Larry staggers and Travis is able to blind tag in, much to the chagrin of Dave.
Dave steps out and Travis waves him to the apron. Travis grabs Larry and hits a back suplex, and goes for the cover. Commentary notes the hatred between Dave and Travis. Travis picks up Larry and goes for a suplex but Larry floats out of it and rolls Travis up from behind. He only gets a quick 2 count. Both men are back up and lock up, middle of the ring. Travis gets the upper hand and hits a quick snap DDT. He pulls Larry up and goes for The Breakdown but Larry fights out! He elbows Pierce back and hits a quick full nelson slam! Larry drags Travis over and makes the tag to Alan. They whip Travis off the ropes but Larry gets taken down by the Tip of the Spear from Dave Rydell!
The referee forces Dave out of the ring and Larry rolls out himself. While that happened, Alan hit Travis with a quick hip toss so it wasn’t a wasted moment. Alan looks for Larry, who rolled out, and catches Dave smirking from ringside. Dave flips off Alan who laughs it off and pulls Pierce up. Alan goes for a snap suplex but Pierce is able to get out of it and get to his corner, tagging in Dave! Dave rushes in and leaps, taking down Alan! They start brawling around the ring, trading lefts and rights while rolling around. Eventually Dave gets the upper hand and sends Alan off the ropes, hitting a swift spinebuster, taking down his rival.
Dave drops into the cover but only gets a 2 count. He pulls Vain up and goes for Extermination but Vain is able to squirm out. He spins Dave around and hits Curtain Call! Dave bounces right back up and stands, wobbling. Travis is yelling at Vain, but it goes ignored. Vain goes for it again but Dave catches him and slams him down to the mat! Dave stalks Vain and as he gets up, he goes for the stomp! Vain launches up and sends Rydell up! Dave is able to steady himself. Vain swings wildly for a clothesline but Dave ducks it. Blind tag from Larry! Travis sees it and rushes in, catching a flying elbow from Larry. Dave hits the ropes and goes for the spear on Alan. Knee to the face! Dave staggers. CHERRY POPPER!!! WAIT! DAVE COUNTERS OUT! He hurls Alan over the ropes but Larry is behind him and rolls him up! Dave kicks out just a millisecond after the 3!
