Commentary welcomes us with their usual childish bickering.
This match is as short as one would expect it to be between a dominant, experienced champion and a relatively green newcomer. Tomasso gets his shots in early, catching Sebastian off-guard with speed and agility. He dodges an attempted strike from Sebastian and somehow maneuvers him into the corner, then charges at him and launches him with a monkey flip. He follows it with a frog splash, and then a moonsault leg drop. He tries for the quick pin, but Sebastian launches him off. Tommaso darts across the ring and gets Sebastian with a head scissors takedown, then a DDT. He attempts a Stunner, but Sebastian shoves him away.
Ferrari bounces off of the rope and charges at Sebastian. He attempts a springboard DDT, but gets shot down like a high school kid with bad judgment by an “Empire Kick.” Sebastian leaps up and immediately suplexes Tommaso out of his boots. He does this repeatedly before making him eat boot tread with a superkick. He lands the Markham Missile, bounces off of the ropes, and inverts Tommaso with a second “Empire Kick.” for the win.
Winner: Sebastian Everett-Bryce
Time: 5:05
Trent Steel arrives at the ring with a big sack filled with plunder over his shoulder. He stomps out to the ring, and empties out the sack in the middle, dumping out 2 x 4s, signs, cookie sheets, a brick, and some garbage can lids, leaving Covert Jay to wonder where the badger is.
Wrestley is making his way to the ring, but Lucy rushes out from backstage, and Wrestley very narrowly moves out of the way in time to avoid getting railroaded. Lucy runs right past him and into the ring, where Steel is waiting with a Stop sign. Steel swings, but Lucy ducks the swing, and she handsprings off the ropes for Mindblow! She goes for a quick cover, but Steel kicks out at one.
Lucy pulls Steel up, and flings him into a corner, then bends down and picks up a cookie sheet. She charges in and goes for a headshot on Steel, but Wrestley leaps in out of nowhere and dropkicks the cookie sheet into Lucy’s head! Wrestley picks up the cookie sheet and wails Steel in the head, dropping him! Wrestley slides out, grabs a chair, and places it in the middle of the ring, but turns into a spinning heel kick from Lucy. She starts to pull him back up, but he counters into a hurricarana driver that slams Lucy’s head on the chair!
Wrestley forgoes the cover, glancing around for Steel, who’s waiting with a 2 x 4, and he shatters the 2 x 4 on the back of Wrestley’s head! Wrestley falls, clutching the back of his head. Steel goes, and grabs the brick, and smashes it into Wrestley’s neck and shoulder! He slams the brick into Wrestley’s neck and shoulder a second time! Steel falls to the mat, and grinds the brick into Wrestley’s neck!
Steel drops the brick onto the mat, and he starts to pull the limp Wrestley up, but Lucy grabs him and drops him with Wylde Liberation! Wrestley is dropped face first back onto the brick! Steel rolls out of the ring as Lucy uses the ropes to pull herself back up, and she connects on Wrestley with Keep Your Chin Up, and falls on top of him for the three!
Winner: Lucy Wylde
Time: 7:19
Before his match, Ezra Wolf takes a moment to address the crowd.
The World Champion takes on the Chaos Champion in our Main Event! The action starts fast as the two trade strikes back and forth before Ezra reverses an attempted Irish Whip by Vain into one of his own that sends Vain shooting toward the ropes. He bounces off and runs back. Ezra lapfrogs him, lands and attempts a one leg dropkick as Vain darts back the other way, only for Vain to slide under it and come up behind him. Vain suplexes Ezra, but he lands on his feet and counters by attempting to trip Vain from behind, only for the World Champion to avoid it and land on both feet with the two men in a stand off as the fans applaud.
They nod at each other and lock up, pushing and shoving back and forth until Vain gets the upper hand with snap DDT. He transitions it into an Indian Deathlock, but Ezra finds the ropes and forces the break. Vain keeps on the offensive, pulling Ezra back toward the middle. Ezra displays his incredible core and upper body strength by using Vain’s pulls to walk himself up onto his hands before he frees himself with a kick into Vain’s hands, lands on one hand, spins, and catches Vain in the side of the head with a kick. Vain stumbles back and Ezra presses his advantage, leaping up and catching Vain in the chin with a knee strike, then transitioning that into a beautiful hurricanrana that launches Vain across the ring. Ezra advances on him and lays in another barrage of hand and fist strikes, then leaps up and takes Vain down with a springboard headscissors takedown. He punctuates it by leaping up onto the turnbuckle and flying off, taking Vain down with a flying crossbody that almost gets a three.
Ezra goes to pull Vain up, but the World Champion surprises him with a kick to the forehead before he rolls to the outside. Ezra sees this and dashes across the ring. He leaps up onto the top rope and flies off, coming down for another cross body. Unfortunately Vain catches him, spins and powerslams him into the Lithuanian announce table, although it doesn’t break, much to Ezra’s distress. Vain steps up onto the apron and runs across it, then leaps off and drops an elbow on Ezra, sending him to the floor. Vain gets him back into the ring and continues his offense with a quartet of suplexes, starting with a German suplex, a snap suplex, a belly to belly, and finally a vertical suplex that he leaves hanging for a few seconds before he sends Ezra crashing down. He waits for Ezra to get back up and snaps him with a spinning neckbreaker, then pulls him up and drops him into a piledriver. He goes for the pin, but Ezra kicks out. He pulls Ezra up then suddenly lunges out of the way for no apparent reason.
Trent Steel lunges forward and blasts Ezra square in the face with the World Championship. He smiles as Sam Green calls for the bell, giving the DQ win to Ezra.
Winner: Ezra Wolf by DQ
Time: 12:23
Steel hits Vain across the back with it, before throwing it down and sliding out of the ring. He looks for another weapon as the bell continues to ring. He slides back in with a chain and raises it to hit Vain when a cheer goes up from the crowd. Steel turns to see Zane Scott running down with a steel chair and a look of business on his face. Zane slides into the ring, squares up with the chair, and then suddenly smiles and points behind him. Steel responds with confusion before he’s spun around… “Kill The Noise” by Ezra! Steel staggers…right into a “Money Maker” from Vain. Ezra and Vain pick Steel up and throw him from the ring as Zane stands behind them with the chair resting on his shoulder.
Phrixus Deimos appears on the Globotron. He says that he observed Ezra's comments prior to the match, and he feels that given the upcoming schedule, this is a question best left to the fans. There will be three candidates for fans to pick from to challenge for the World Title at In Your Hands, and two of those options are now officially Ezra Wolf and Trent Steel.
Zane Scott starts off by charging at Larry with a thunderous Muay Thai knee strike, staggering the champion. He follows up with an inverted gutwrench suplex slam. Donovan seizes Scott with a lightning-fast springboard armdrag. Larry recovers, popping up to hit a kickswing DDT on Zane, halting Donovan's advance. Larry goes for the cover, but Donovan immediately breaks it up.
Donovan changes targets, attacking the champ, and the two engage in a fierce exchange of strikes and grapples. Hastings manages to momentarily gain the upper hand with a vicious gutbuster. But before Donovan can capitalize, Larry explodes to his feet and surprises everyone with a spinebuster on Donovan, shifting the momentum once again.
Zane is back up, and he unleashes a barrage of knee strikes with his braced knee, targeting both Larry and Donovan back and forth in turn, keeping them from getting back to their feet. However, Larry slides out under the bottom rope and leaves Donovan to fall victim to Scott’s whole series of corner attacks.
Scott hits Salt the Earth, and goes for a cover. Just as he’s about to end Larry’s streak, the Tactilizing One reappears in the ring, dropkicking Zane off the cover. He takes back control by hitting Zane with a spinebuster and a running powerslam. Just when it seems like Larry has the match under control, Donovan mounts a comeback, springing at the champ.
He locks in a triangle choke on Larry, forcing the champion to fight for every breath. Zane breaks up the submission attempt by dragging Hastings off with a Can Opener. Hastings drives him back into the corner they were recently struggling in, and breaks free long enough to hit a Destiny’s Call!
But, sensing an opportunity, Larry rushes Donovan, hoisting him up for The Tactilizer. With Zane still reeling, he dives onto Hastings for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Larry Tact
Time: 11:12
With his victory, Larry Tact has completed his Conquest run, and will challenge Alan Wallace for the World Title next week!
