John is sitting on a bench at Rod's Gym looking up at the ceiling, taking in all of the sounds from the various bags and work in the various rings. Through all of the sounds he is replaying the ending of Synergy in his head, from Pierce tapping out all the way up to the small statement he placed on Kiseragi, he has a wide smile across his face while doing this. His trip down short memory lane however is interrupted as Kyle comes over to him and slaps him on the shoulder before taking a seat next to him.
Tacker: "So, looks like you are on your way. And it only took you what, two fuckin' months?"
John chuckles for a second.
John: "Yeah, figure that one out. It's almost like I am going through some sort of Dejavu or something like that."
Tacker: "Really?"
John: "Yeah, I mean way back when I started out in LWF I got into a title match during my second month of being there. And then won a prestigious tournament the next month to get another title shot."
Tacker: "You got a point there, but then does that mean you are going to drop them like you did back then?"
John shakes his head from left to right.
John: "Kyle did you bump your damn head again? A-Kis is mine come Monday, and there won't be anything he can do about it. I mean I don't even expect him to give me any sort of trouble."
Tacker just nods his head up and down as he slowly turns his head towards the sound of heels clicking on the floor.
Tacker: "Speaking of trouble... don't look now but here she comes."
John's head turns in the same direction as Kyle's as he spots what he is talking about. It turns out to be Sierra, who walks over to the two of them. She smiles over at John, but frowns at Tacker.
Sierra: "Um... Tacker, you mind giving me and John some alone time?"
Tacker just snickers to himself before getting up and walking away from them. Sierra takes the seat next to John. John looks over at her and smiles slightly as he talks in a jokingly manor.
John: "So, what brings you out to my neck of the woods doll? Business or pleasure?"
Sierra blushes slightly before pulling a notepad out of her purse with a pen.
Sierra: "For now some business, boss wants an article written up about you before the pay-per-view."
John shrugs his shoulders for a moment before Sierra starts with the questions as well as writing them down on the notepad.
Sierra: "Well, let's start off with an easy question for you then. How have your first two months with UGWC compared with that when you were with LWF?"
John: "You know it's funny, I was just talking with Kyle about this same thing. Anyway, the two are actually rather similar."
Sierra: "How so?"
John: "I was involved in a title match at the second pay-per-view I was involved in, and then a month later I won a tournament that took place in one night to receive another title shot. Throw in the fact that I was trying to get the attention of someone as well. And you can see that the events are the same, just the order is off slightly."
Sierra: "But, are you proud of what you've done here so far or would you rather LWF still be around?"
John: "Of course I would have rather seen LWF keep it's doors open. But, times change and we all have to go on to the next big thing. Luckily for me I am where it in both a professional and personal stand point."
Her eyebrow perks up when he mentions "personal stand point".
Sierra: "And what exactly do you mean by that?"
John just shoots her a grin.
John: "Oh, I'm pretty sure you already know what that means."
Sierra: "I'll get back to you on that one. Anyhow, are you doing anything special to prepare for your match with Alex Kiseragi?"
John: "Nope."
Sierra: "So, are you at all worried about his unorthodox style?"
John: "Nope."
Sierra: "Is that all I'm going to get out of you when it comes to Kiseragi?"
John: "Nope."
Sierra looks over at him for a moment as John just grins playful like.
Sierra: "Alright, then tell me something about Kiseragi that I can actually write up."
John: "Alright. Well, this is the part where I say how I am going to win and take the belt. But that just isn't my style at all. Instead I'll just tell say what I think about the guy. Kiseragi seems to carry himself as a very honorable man, and as someone to pride himself on a fair fight. Both of those qualities I can respect and understand. Generally, I am similar to him in the fact that I have some honor and do enjoy a fair fight. Now, I know I kinda gave him a cheap shot at the end of Synergy but that was only meant for him not to underestimate me. But I digress, Monday at Revolution the two of us warriors will walk in, however only one of us will walk out with our head held high. And I do intend on being that man."
Sierra: "And here I thought you weren't going to talk about you wanting to win your match."
John shrugs his shoulder for a moment.
John: "I do what I can with what I got. You got any more questions for me then doll?"
Sierra: "No, I think that just about covers it all."
John: "Alright, well I just got one question for you."
Sierra: "Let me guess, it is about dinner last week?"
John: "Um... yeah, guess you've gotten back to reading my mind again."
Sierra blushes for a moment before answering.
Sierra: "Well the reason why I asked you out was that, it just seemed right to me okay."
John: "It seemed right to you?"
Sierra: "Yeah it seemed right. I had this little voice in my head telling me, you know just go for it."
John: "So, you listened to this little voice then. Is it telling you anything else?"
Sierra looks over at him no longer blushing or anything cute like that, now she is looking somewhat angry and flustered.
Sierra: "Yeah, it is telling me that I made a mistake!"
She gets up and storms away with tears in her eyes as John lowers his head knowing that he fucked up big time. Jimmy then walks over to John and watches Sierra leave through the door before asking John a question.
Jimmy: "So, who's the babe?"
John looks up at him and stands up slowly to stare him in the eye. Then without warning he throws a right hand, connecting with his jaw and sending him flying over the bench. Everyone else stops what they are doing and watches as John walks out of the gym, angry with himself and the situation.
Tacker: "So, looks like you are on your way. And it only took you what, two fuckin' months?"
