Ahhh, dear viewers. We meet again. ‘Where have you been?’, you ask? Let’s say I’ve been preparing for a homecoming of sorts. Anywho, enough about me. How have you been, viewers? Are you excited to see our dear friend Ezekiel back in GI.. oh oh.. my bad. UGWC. Are you glad to see dear Ezekiel raise from the dead and defend his new friends? I am. Definitely. Speaking of dear Ezekiel, that is how this week’s chapter begins. The scene begins on top of a building, possibly a warehouse or something because the only thing we can see are vents, but that doesn’t matter. We see Ezekiel standing on the edge, arms to his side, seeming to just take in the view. He if facing outward so all we see if his back, mostly covered in a large black coat.
“Murmurs and whispers have overtaken this place. Everyone is wondering why I am returned. After a long absence and all the rehabilitation and all the surgeries, what bring Ezekiel back? After all the supernatural and ‘religious’ things are set aside, it goes back to one thing. I promised to come back after I was injured. I promised to come back and avenge those who wronged me. But, those who caused all the pain and suffering I felt over this last are no where to be seen. So, the obvious decision would be to go find them and hunt them down.”
Ezekiel turns and we can see his face but his medium-length hair still blocks his face a little bit.
“But that won’t be case. If the demons are gone, I’m not going to chase them. UGWC has it’s own demons and innocents that need healing. I’ve already found one soul that needed healing.”
Ezekiel faintly smiles as the scene fades. It opens back up to the inside of a church. We see a priest lighting candles at the front as the door opens and in walks Ezekiel closely followed by Daniel Hanson.
“What the f--” Daniel starts to say but Ezekiel quick turns and glares at him. Daniel puts his hands up in protest. “Sorry, dude. What the heck am I doing in a church?”
“You’ve asked that the whole way here. can’t you just be patient?” Ezekiel replies, more than annoyed. “Patience is a virtue, bro.”
“I know but it isn’t one that I practice. Now that you’re all ‘holy’ and sh.. stuff, is it okay for you to say ‘bro’ and ‘dude’? And can you still smoke weed? You were the biggest pothead we’d seen next to Roberts.”
“I can’t believe you just asked that.” Ezekiel points towards the front of the church. “Walk, bro.”
Daniel sighs and follows orders. He slowly walks down the aisle between the pews. The priest looks up and seems to be speechless. Hanson smiles big.
“I know, I know. It’s uncommon for someone with my good looks to be in this place, right?”
“I don’t think he’s looking at you, Danny.”
The priest sets down the candle he was using to light the others and points at Ezekiel.
“Is it really you?” he asks, slowly shuffling toward Ezekiel. “Are you the one they are talking about?”
Ezekiel softly nods. “Yes, father.”
“Why did they bring you back?”
“Your guess is as good as mine. I can’t figure it out.”
“I must go get the others. They must see the man who rose.”
The priest scurries off as Ezekiel smiles. He looks at Daniel who has a deadpan expression on his face.
“Really? The ‘man who rose’?” Daniels says, overreacting with the air quotes. “What the hell is this, Harry Potter? I’m leavin’, dude.” Hanson turns to leave and Ezekiel grabs him by the arm and points down the aisle. Hanson sighs and walks down. Ezekiel points to where the candles were being lit.
“Kneel down there.” Ezekiel says. Daniel looks at him with an expression of shock. “Get your mind out of the gutter, bro.” Daniel sighs again but does as he is told. “How long ago did you hurt your neck?”
“Umm.. I don’t know, man. It feels like forever ago.”
“Does it still bother you?”
Daniel nods his head side to side, sort of stretching it out. “Sometimes but I am used to it by now.”
“What would you say if I said I could make you feel amazing?”
“Can you do that?”
“That’s only a little bit of what I can do.”
“No. Effin. Way. What do I have to do?”
“Bow your head.”
Daniel bows his head and puts his hands together in prayer. Ezekiel stands behind Hanson and slowly takes his jacket and drops to the ground, showing off his tattoos and his impressive wings. Ezekiel slowly breathes in and then places his hands on Hanson’s shoulders. His wings shift as he breathes and slowly increases the pace as he then places his hands on Hanson’s neck. Ezekiel breathes faster as Daniel continues bowing his head. Suddenly, Ezekiel exhales deeply and his wings expand as a light seems to travel from Ezekiel’s wings, down his arms and into Daniel’s neck and head. His eyes shoot open and he looks upward as Ezekiel softly squeezes his neck before suddenly letting go. Ezekiel’s wings fold back in as Daniel collapses. Ezekiel catches his breath as he looks at Daniel and the scene fades to black.
