The camera opens on the familiar faces of Nicholas Vinegar and Daniel Hanson. The arena echoes with chants of 'GIW' all around them, which seems to please Hanson immensely.
Vinegar: Welcome once again folks to Global Impact Wrestling's Sentinel. I'm Nicholas Vinegar, here with Daniel Hanson, and we're honoured you've invited us into your homes on this fine evening. I can guarantee that you won't regret it!
Hanson: Absolutely, Nick. These fans are pumped here tonight and so am I. Witham and Deathman look to settle a score, allies in Chris Austin and Sean Jensen facing off and Aragato makes his singles match debut! It's crazy!
Vinegar: This show is certainly going to be something that you won't want to miss. But what do you say, we just get right into it?
Hanson: Alright!!
“Killing In The Name Of” by Rage Against The Machine blares over the loud speakers as Sean Jensen energetically comes out to the ramp. He is being accompanied by Progdoor. Jensen runs down the aisle and slides into the ring while Progdoor follows slowly.
Hanson: Look at this fool jumping around in a hoodie. The stupid dragon is coming too. Sometimes I wonder why I even keep working here. People are going to remember me as the guy who called matches with dragons.
Vinegar: Stop complaining. You're about to see these two stable members fight it out in what is sure to be a great match.
Hanson: You're too modest to every person who walks down the aisle. Every person and every dragon freak.
Vinegar: I think someone put piss in your coffee this morning. Is that it?
Hanson: Look at Jensen toss the hoodie into this stupid crowd who just eat it up.
Vinegar: You're so negative.
“Faint” by Linkin Park plays as the screeching of the instruments are rhythmical to the faces made by Austin as he grasps his Hardcore title in his hand.
Hanson: This is a man that I can respect and not be ashamed about. He comes out with the same great attitude every single day.
Vinegar: That might explain why I hate to see this man's smile. The smirk he makes just causes me to tighten my grasp and hope for the worst.
Hanson: You’re the negative one here.
Vinegar: Austin in the ring circling Jensen, as the referee hands the title belt to the time keeper.
Hanson: Glenn Burke better make the right calls this match or I might ask Declan to review how useful he really is.
Vinegar: The bell rings and this match is underway. Austin and Jensen lock up, but Jensen falls to his knees and hit’s a weak upper cut to Austin sending him back and into the corner.
Hanson: That was a closed fist and I think that means DQ.
Vinegar: Austin seems to be shocked at just how Jensen played his cards. He was expecting that Jensen counter into a German Suplex….
Hanson: Aryan Suplex.
Vinegar: Whatever. He expected he would counter into another grapple like move, but he pulled something a bit unusual instead.
Hanson: It is barely the first move so shut up and lets see what he can pull out now.
Vinegar: Jensen back to his feet as he backs up allowing Austin to step from the corner. Interesting thing with these two is that they are apart of the same stable so this is like a civil war of sorts.
Hanson: Austin follows Sean around for some reason and I am struggling to find out why, but maybe this match will open his eyes. He is the Hardcore champion while the other members hold no titles. They didn’t even get passed the first round of the World Title Tournament.
Vinegar: Neither did Austin, who charges Sean with a clothesline but Sean ducks and turns right into the backhand of Austin.
Hanson: Austin proved that he is one step ahead of Sean from now on.
Vinegar: Can’t wait to see if that will help him out. Sean rolls to his feet and goes to charge at Austin, but is met with a kick to the gut and a swinging neck breaker.
Hanson: Austin is still one step ahead, here.
Vinegar: Sean grasping his neck at the pain of landing on it. That could really distract you in a match.
Hanson: Just look how Austin backs up to the opposite corner and stares at Jensen struggle to his feet.
Vinegar: I think he may be going for the SoCal GutCheck, no. He is letting Jensen regain his composure as they have a stare down from across the ring.
Hanson: They're making steps towards each other, but not charging just yet.
Vinegar: Progdoor makes a roar on the outside of the ring which distracts Austin for a second. Jensen takes advantage and hits him with a dropkick. Austin’s head bounces off the top turn buckle!
Hanson: People call Austin a cheater!
Vinegar: Jensen doesn’t stop there, because he picks up Austin and tosses him into the corner and just starts barraging him with elbows to the head.
Hanson: Austin is being hit so quickly that his feet remain in the air from the first punch before the second one hits. I know there is a rule against this!
Vinegar: I suppose there is, because Burke moves Sean from the corner and allows Austin to recover from the attack.
Hanson: *Claps* I clap for that great example of a call made by the referee. He understands the rulebook and enforces it when it needs to be.
Austin is psychically angry and charges Sean who has his back turned but Sean ducks and puts his leg out tripping Austin.
Vinegar: Austin goes face first into the ground and Jensen hit’s a shooting star plancha with an elbow to the back of the head!
Hanson: I think Austin may have hurt his nose! His great nose which is probably used for great things.
Vinegar: I doubt that. Jensen against the ropes and hits a double arm bulldog to take Austin to the ground face first. Sean is showing some crazy intensity here and I think it is because he wishes to prove himself. Now he's going to the top rope.
Hanson: This is the chance for Austin to regain momentum and move out of the way.
Vinegar: Jensen off of the top rope with that Back Attack as he calls it and AUSTIN MOVES!
Hanson: He must have heard my prayers in my head.
Vinegar: Jensen is in deep pain as he rolls to the far corner grasping his back. Austin runs and hit’s a baseball slide sending Jensen into the steel post under the bottom turnbuckle.
Hanson: That back is not in good shape and a SoCal GutCheck would be best to hurry and finish this match. Jensen has been in the ring quite enough already. I hate seeing him.
Vinegar: Austin picking up Jensen by the hair and slapping him hard with a chop to the chest. Jensen on the ground in great pain. Meanwhile, Progdoor roars again.
Hanson: LOW BLOW! How could he do that!?
Vinegar: Jensen hit’s a massive implant DDT on Austin who pops up and then falls flat on his back. He just cheated but he did get the advantage just now. I guess if you think about how much Austin has cheated then it is alright.
Hanson: So now its ok that Jensen cheats?! You people and your double standards.
Jensen goes to the top rope and comes off with a frog splash.
Hanson: That looked like it hurt both of them!
Vinegar: Jensen rolling around on the ground in great pain after that frog splash.
Jensen has knocked the breath out of himself but he crawls over to Austin and hooks his leg.
Burke: ….1
Burke: ….2
Burke: ….
Hanson: YES! His cheating didn’t pay off because Austin still kicked out.
Vinegar: This is just proving that both of these men are extremely tough or else this would have been greatly one-sided. This is quite the competitive fight.
Hanson: Full of cheating by Jensen.
Vinegar: Progdoor roars at every match so that is nothing different. Austin getting distracted was his fault. Regardless, Austin rolls over onto his stomach and is attempting to lift himself up. Jensen is already to his feet and picks Austin up to his feet but sends him back to the ground with a scoop slam.
Hanson: I distinctly remember Austin letting Jensen rest up after moves earlier in the bout but I guess Jensen has a bad memory because he is just attacking Austin without emotion.
Vinegar: Austin was making fun of Jensen for being on the ground and not allowing him to rest up. He just wanted to look mighty. Now Austin rolls to his feet and jumps around in an attempt to heal the pain in his tail bone but Jensen meets it with a flying lariat sending him to the ground once again. Jensen rebounds off of the ropes and hits a shoulder block sending Austin to the ground again. Now he hits a leg drop to the throat of The Next Great One.
Hanson: Silly Jensen, he is too small for that move to do any deep damage.
Vinegar: Your throat being smashed will hurt no matter how much weight is coming down on it. Austin is choking and grasping his neck while Jensen lifts him up for a back slam to the ground.
Hanson: I had no idea Jensen was capable of such power moves.
Vinegar: He wants to keep Austin down for the 1,2,3 and he thinks that is the way to do it. I agree.
Hanson: Austin didn’t plan on power moves but on speed moves.
Vinegar: Which is what Jensen knew. He brought something else and it is working to his advantage. The Real Innovator goes against the ropes and dropkicks the arm of Austin who is still lying on the ground. Austin slides to the edge of the apron. He does not fall off and Jensen tries to raise him up by leaning through the middle ropes but Austin grabs his head and slingshots it off the middle rope by falling to the ground with Jensen's head in his arm. Jensen flies back to the middle of the ring.
Hanson: The momentum gain of Sean is now over since Austin realized what has to be done.
Vinegar: Austin back in the ring as Sean recovers from that attack on his throat.
Hanson: I dislike the word attack. Strategic move sounds decent.
Vinegar: Regardless, Austin picks up Jensen to his feet but Jensen counters with a sit down jaw breaker launching Austin quickly back into the ropes. Great job Sea- NO!!! NO! NO!
Hanson: YES! YES!
Vinegar: Austin just SoCal GutChecked Sean as he rebounded right off the ropes!!! Sean hit the jawbreaker and jumped right up into the spear!! Austin covers.!!!
Burke: …1
Burke: …2
Burke: …3
Hanson: ITS OVER! Even with all the cheating, Austin wins without having to cheat.
Vinegar: I think Sean did an amazing job fighting a new style against Austin and that it will help him in future matches.
Hanson: Admit that he lost fair and square.
Vinegar: I will admit that he did lose fair and square, but losing may be the better thing right here. Austin rolls out with his Hardcore title and walks down the aisle as Jensen is kneeling in the ring breathing hard from the move. The crowd gives him an ovation for his efforts, as Progdoor tries to cheer him. Certainly a well fought battle by both men.
