Friday April 22nd
Sierra was walking through the hallway of the SEN Offices, a smile on her face as she had been counting down the days to when she and John were going to tie the knot. “Two more weeks,” she kept telling herself, she was getting excited through all the planning and everything else that came with it. Plus all of the time that she had spent with John during the month since he hadn’t wrestled much during the month. Hell, he wasn’t even that much involved with their upcoming pay-per-view. She walked into the cubical area, aka where all the interns worked, looking for Amy as she needed to talk to her about an upcoming story. She finally potted Amy, who was talking with one of the newer interns, and walked over to her. When Sierra made it over to her, Amy quickly dismissed the intern and turned all of her attention to Sierra.
Amy: ”So Sierra, what’s going on?”
Sierra: ”Nothing much, just counting down the days you know.”
Amy forced herself to give a fake half-smile to those words. The day was getting closer and she still hadn’t pulled the two of them apart… It had come time for her to drop the bomb on her.
Amy: ”Sierra… There is something that you should know.”
Sierra: ”What is it?”
Amy: ”It’s about John…”
Sierra: ”What about him… There hasn’t been another stupid rumor about him going around and doing underground fights again has there? I swear those stupid idiots don’t know when to give up when reporting false news. So what if he hasn’t competed this month, it doesn’t mean that-”
Amy finally cuts Sierra off before she can rant and rave anymore.
Amy: ”No, it’s nothing like that.”
Sierra: ”Then… What is it?”
Amy bites her lip for a moment, before talking rather coyly.
Amy: ”It’d be better if I show you.”
The both of them walk over to Amy’s cubical, Sierra looking anxious while Amy is putting on a straight face and hiding her devious smile and intentions rather well. Amy then opens up an e-mail and all Sierra can do is cover her mouth in utter shock at what she sees on the screen, with Amy looking just as shocked as she is playing her part to perfection. They are pictures of John laying in bed with another woman. A tear begins to form in her eye as she starts to cry.
Sierra: ”Where… Where… Where did you get these?”
Amy: ”Someone e-mailed these to me a little while ago and claimed that they will be posted on the web in hours.”
Tears are now pouring down Sierra’s face as she sniffles and cries.
Sierra: ”They… They can’t be real… John… He wouldn’t… Would he?”
Amy: ”I tried to tell you a leopard can’t change his spots.”
Sierra backs away from the cubical, in complete and total shock, before she sprints off with tears rolling down her eyes. Amy on the other hand looks on and smiles as she turns back to the screen and runs her fingers up and down the photos.
Amy: ”I told you, you will be mine… All mine.”
Easter Sunday
Sweat poured down John’s face as he stood in the elevator on the way up to his apartment. He had just got back from doing a couple of laps around Sea Port Village and didn’t have much time to get ready before he was meeting Sierra at his parent’s house. He smiled at the thought of seeing her again, as she had been stuck in New York for a while now. As the elevator door opened and he walked through something seemed “odd”, and it wasn’t just the fact that there were boxes lined up outside of his door. There was just something odd in the air, like something didn’t feel right. As he walked down the hall and opened his door he was perplexed at what he saw, Sierra bent over and packing boxes.
John: ”Uh… What’s going on doll?”
Sierra stood up, turned around to face John, and then promptly slapped him across the face with enough force to actually cause him to turn his head. As he turned his head back, rubbing his jaw as he did so, he saw just how mad she was. It was something that he had never seen out of her.
Sierra: ”What do you think I’m doing!? I’m getting my stuff and I’m LEAVING!”
John was shocked by those last two words, hell he was speechless for a good thirty seconds before he could utter anything.
John: ”Whoa… Whoa… Whoa… Wait a fuckin’ minute there. You’re leaving?”
Sierra picked up the box that she had finished packing and made her way past John.
Sierra: ”Yeah, I realized I don’t want to marry a cheater!”
Again John was stunned by her words, it took him a moment to even compose himself to follow after her.
John: ”What the hell are you talking about? I’ve never been with another woman!”
Sierra turned around after setting the final box next to all of the others. And instead of slapping him this time, she punched him squarely in the nose causing John to snap his head back.
Sierra: ”STOP LYING!!! AMY SHOWED ME THE PHOTOS!!! Plus, I saw what happened on Synergy!”
As John’s head cocked forward and he adjusted his nose, his eyes went wide as she told him that Amy showed her the photos and then the incident on Synergy.
John: ”And you are really going to believe that crazy bitch!? Sierra, she’s been trying to play us against one another ever since she stepped in the picture.”
Sierra: ”I TOLD YOU TO STOP LYING!”
She throws another punch with tears in her eyes, but instead John catches it and looks into her eyes compassionately.
John: ”Doll… I’m not lying.”
He lets her fist go as she backs away from him and ultimately heads to the elevator. She is bawling her eyes out as she waits for the doors to open. John tries to walk over and comfort her, but she just pushes him away. She looks at him with tears in her eyes, and John can’t say anything. As the doors open and she steps inside she leaves him with some final words.
Sierra: ”Someone will be here for my stuff in a little bit… And here’s the ring.”
As she starts to take the ring off of her finger, John stops her by placing his hand on hers.
John: ”Keep it… You know just in case…”
Sierra starts to cry a little harder as she slams the door close button when John moves his arm out of the doorway. When the doors finally shut and the elevator reaches the bottom, a single tear drops from John’s eye and he punches the door in anger leaving his fist pressed up against the metal and releasing more tears.
John: ”I’m not going to give up doll… I swear it!”
