The words previously recorded show across the bottom of the screen. Right near the feet of the hundreds and thousands that line up around the UGWC Arena every Monday in an effort to get into the building early. Grab their seats, some snacks, maybe a picture or two of the ring crew setting up. Then that quickly becoming unmistakable voice rings out. Slow. Southern. Seeping with drawl.
Remi: Oh looky looky at all of dis. I surely do hope all of you people done brought de video cam-e-ra wit’ you all!
Remi Monroe walking side by side with the massive Vaughn Brennen towards the building. Remi pulling a wheeled bag behind him. Vaughn with a simply colossal carryall slung over his shoulder. It doesn’t take long before the sea of people start flooding the immediate area with wave after wave of all manner of canvas for the duo to autograph. Vaughn instantly becomes the center of a attention for the tiny children who hold up their tiny hands to compare to Vaughn’s.
Remi: Because Magnitude and Remi gon’ put on one hell-uf-va show for you all tonight I know dat much for certain.
Fan: Are you looking forward to your first match?
A voice calls out from the mass.
Brennen: I think we’re both just looking forward to taking the first few steps to right the course the UGWC has strayed from. Let’s get back to one man versus one man with the better man winning because he fought just a little bit harder and was just a little bit better than the other guy. But you’ll have to excuse us. We’re already late and have to get checked in or we won’t have that first match until next week.
Female Voice: We’ll cheer for you Remi!
Remi: Cha, cheer for all-of-de hard working guys. Or boo if you don’t be liking what dey be doing. But cheer fo’ Remi Monroe and Vaughn Brennen de loudest, eh!
We cut into a shot of the inside of the UGWC arena. Pan the ruckus crowd. Settle on the Vinegar, Lieberjosch, and Covert Jay.
Covert Jay: Year of the DRAGOOONNNN! In ninja progress.
Lieberjosch: Meaning we can’t see it?
Vinegar: I think he means we’re one week removed from Infinity. One week removed from crowning a new Heavyweight Champion of the ring. In proper UGWC fashion we have a stacked show for the fans tonight!
Lieberjosch: Well I’ll give him the card looks good. I only saw one name, Vaughn ‘Magnitude’ Brennen, but when you’re that big that’s all anyone needs to see.
Vinegar: That’s right folks. New comers Vaughn Brennen, James Carson, Remi Monroe, and veterans John Russo, and Medos will compete for the final three spots in the Global Challenge. Also on the card is a triple threat match between former Chaos Champion Abigail Knight as she faces against former Worlds Champion Travis Pierce, and current Cross Hemisphere Champion Moss Edwards.
Lieberjosch: A joke I’m sure. He’s our creative director. He had the Circle wrestle a fair many of his matches when he was too ashamed to show his face. Now he’s in a match with two former champions, neither of which got a return match. I’m calling fix right now.
Covert Jay: DRAGON! DRAGON now!
Vinegar: Not yet, Jay. But a main event of Alex Kiseragi teaming with Red Fusion against the pair of Ezekiel Pax and Phrixus Deimos is sure to set the stage and tease just a little bit in this Global Challenge preview, but first is a Horizons 2010 main event rematch as Donovan Hastings takes on Jet Somers! Let’s send it to Dennis.
Dennis: ladies and Gentlemen, the first match is scheduled for one fall,
'Everybody Down'
Dennis: Introducing first, from Deep Creek, Mississippi, JJJJJJEEEEEEEETTTTTT SSSSSOOOOMMMMEEEERRRSSS!
Vinegar: There are some sections of the crowd that have really warmed to The Piercing Weapons, especially since they ditched Robert Ooley last week.
Lieberjosch: An utterly ridiculous move on their behalf, Ooley is the greatest weapon anyone in this company can have and they discarded him.
Vinegar: I have to agree with Pierce and Somers, they are two former World Champions, they don't need Ooley, they're plenty dangerous themselves.
Lieberjosch: Time will tell, they have potential, but they have made their job much more difficult.
Vinegar: Another interesting subplot to this match is Jet Somers is facing the man whom he was once Cooperative Champion alongside, and next week he'll be facing that very man's closest accomplices in an attempt to win it for a second time.
Lieberjosch: If Donovan Hastings allows him to leave the arena tonight in full working condition.
'Ripper'
Dennis: And introducing his opponent,
Hastings: Stop right their Mitch, The Lord can take it from here.
Vinegar: Donovan has a microphone and has interrupted Mitchell Dennis.
Hastings: There was clearly a mix up when the card was initially formed. 'The Lord Chief' has an important night ahead of him at Infinity, for it will be the night he regains what is rightfully his, and obviously needs to take some time out to prepare for this.
Hastings: Wasting my time with a man who's ambitions are no higher than the meagre and unimportant Cooperative Championship's is just unacceptable. As for opening the show, well I think we are all aware of just how absurd a proposition that is.
Hastings: So, instead, The Lord Chief of Pain will announce Jet Somers' new and more suitable opponent.
'Back In Black'
Hastings: Chris Peterson!
Covert Jay: We really should have seen this coming.
Vinegar: it's not entirely surprising, but however he managed to do this, it does mean he is the only entrant in the Global Challenge who will have had a night off, that could prove to be important.
Lieberjosch: I'm sure Donovan would have been itching to step into the ring had they given him an opponent of a similar Calibre. In the space of a year Jet Somers has gone from World Heavyweight Championship contender, to fighting over the scraps of the Cooperative Championship.
Vinegar: The very titles held by Donovan's Girlfriend and his student, you'd have thought he'd have liked to have done them a favour and weakened Jet up in preparation for next week.
Lieberjosch: And what kind of teacher and mentor would that make him? Chris has to fight his own battles, Donovan won't always be around to help him, and he would only be doing him a disservice if he didn't prepare him fully for a life in the business.
Vinegar: That's a very good point but I honestly doubt that is his intention here. He's not even stuck around to offer him words of encouragement or advice, he was backstage before Peterson had exited the stage onto the ramp.
Lieberjosch: He's a busy and very important man.
Covert Jay: he's probably preparing an elaborate excuse to tell Calypso why he is unwilling to help her defend her meagre title.
Ding!
Vinegar: Well the match is under way, and Jet doesn't seem bothered in the change up in opponent, and the two men lock up and vie for an initial advantage.
Lieberjosch: Peterson slipping on a head lock and he tightens it...
Vinegar: Somers sending him into the ropes to break the hold, and then he stands his ground takign Peterson to the canvas with a shoulder block. Jet then getting a few stomps in before Peterson can scramble to his feet...
Lieberjosch: Superkick.
Vinegar: That's an eye poke, but regardless it gives Chris the opening to leap up and take Jet to the ground with a flying head scissors. Then he mounts him and begins to aim punches at his face...
Lieberjosch: But Jet grabs an arm, and then manages to reverse and spin Chris onto his back, and then Jet executes a tough ground and pound before getting to his feet and driving him face first into one turnbuckle, and then he carries him across the ring and slams him face first into another turnbuckle before throwing him onto his back.
Vinegar: Jet having no problem adapting to alast minute change of opponent more evidence of why he possibly UGWC's most gifted in ring athlete.
Lieberjosch: If that was the case why is he focusing on such an irrelevant title?
Vinegar: Because he and Travis Pierce are clearly intent on showing the world that they are the greatest unit in the industry at the moment.
Lieberjosch: And this hardly shows his superiority, we haven't seen Peterson in a ring since Horizons...
Vinegar: And I'll bet he had no idea he'd be thrust into a one on one match with Jet Somers, he's showing that now as Jet just manhandles him.
Covert Jay: I have a feeling someone has quickly tired of writing...
Lieberjosch: JETSTREAMER!
Covert Jay: See.

3!!!!
Dennis: here is your winner, JJJJJEEEEEEETTTTT SSSSSOOOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEEEERRRRSSSS!
Vinegar: Jet Somers getting a decisive victory over one half of The Cooperative Champions here tonight, but you can bet it won't be quite so easy next week, Peterson and Calypso will be prepared to defend their titles at Infinity, and we're sure to have a great match between two well oiled teams.
Remi: Oh looky looky at all of dis. I surely do hope all of you people done brought de video cam-e-ra wit’ you all!
