Triple Threat Table Match
Marek 'WAR' Daisuke w/Xavier Bryan
vs.
Alex Kiseragi
vs.
Quaytrell Jackson
Referee: Hazel East
Winner: Alex Kiseragi
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The scene opens to a shot panning in from behind the first row of cameras, settling in front of the two people sat on the small stage. The simple pale blue curtain backdrop, comfortable similarly coloured arm chairs and small circular pine wood coffee table create an air of comfortable casualness to the scene. The chairs face diagonally towards each other whilst still open to the cameras.
In the seat on the right is sat a pretty young blonde women in a slightly revealing top and figure hugging blue jeans. Across from her, sat slightly slouched in the opposite chair is a lean muscular looking oriental man with tidy black hair, wearing a fitted black Komosube t-shirt, fading baggy dark jeans and black Converse All-stars.
The two seem to exchange a few words that aren’t picked up. The young woman smiles and turns to face the camera as it falls on her.
Roxy: Hello Global Impact Wrestling fans and welcome to the show. I am Roxy Malone bringing you all the latest breaking news and gossip from backstage.
There’s a few cheers from assorted crew members that can be heard behind the cameras.
Roxy: Woo, thank you, that’s right. Now those of you who have been watching this last week may have caught a couple of videos of a new Dragon in GiW and I bet you’re wondering who this mysterious new superstar is, right?
There’s more cheers from the on looking crew. Roxy smiles broadly, revealing a mouthful of perfect straight white teeth.
Roxy: Well wonder no more because I have him right here with me today. It’s none other than The Dragon Alex Kiseragi. Give it up for him.
Roxy makes a wide sweeping gesture with her right arm across to where Alex is sat and the camera changes to fit both of them in shot. Alex is smiling and nodding and gives an acknowledging wave to the enthusiastic crew.
Alex: Thank you, thank you.
Roxy: Alex, welcome to the show.
Alex: Thank you for having me.
Roxy: And more importantly welcome to GiW.
Alex: Thank you, it’s really great to be here.
Roxy: How does it feel?
Alex: It’s pretty incredible. I’m not sure it’s all quite sunk in yet, I still catch myself expecting to wake up.
Roxy: Well I assure you this is all very real. Now, I’m sure all the fans watching at home would like to know a little more about, just who the Dragon is. You’re from San Francisco right?
Alex: Yeah.
Roxy: So when did you start wrestling?
Alex: I started training wrestling when I was 15, but much of my style is based in my martial arts training which I started, well, when I was born really.
Roxy: Of course, because your family are originally from Japan aren‘t they.
Alex: Yes my parents moved to San Francisco from Osaka just over thirty years ago.
Roxy: What was that like growing up?
Alex: It was good. I like to think I got the best of both worlds. A lot of the opportunities that America provides as well as the traditions and culture from my home land which my parents were, always very adamant about me learning about.
Roxy: Now, you’ve got your GiW debut on this weeks Sentinel in a Triple Threat table match. What do you think of that?
Alex: Well, surprised first of all. Coming into a big company like this, really, a little fish in a big sea, when I saw the card I think my jaw almost hit the floor. Once I got over that I was honestly a little scared. I’ve been in table matches before and, every one of them hurt.
Roxy: And are you still scared?
Alex: A little, yeah. I think it’s healthy to be a little scared before any match. You’re going out there and putting your body on the line. If you’re not a little scared then there’s something wrong with you, the key though is in controlling your fear and not being controlled by it.
Roxy is nodding slowly, listening intently.
Alex: As well as that of course a little fear gets the heart pumping, the adrenaline flowing, and sharpens you up, you get faster, stronger, more focussed and I think that can be a real game breaker when it comes down to the crunch in these kind of matches.
Roxy: Well of course you’ll know more about that then I do. Now, you’ll be facing off against two other new superstars here in GiW, Marek Daisuke who we saw in tag team action last week and fellow debutant Quaytrell Jackson. What are your thoughts on your opposition?
Alex: Well, I’ve spoken to Marek a little and I saw his match last week, and I have a lot of respect for him. I think he’s a good honourable dedicated wrestler and I think he’s going to put on a good match.
Roxy: And how about Mr. Marvellous?
Alex: Mr Marvellous? Haha, that’s cute. No, I can’t really say much about him. I haven’t had a chance to speak to him in person and I haven’t seen him in action. All I’ve heard from word of mouth is that he’s pretty crazy when he gets out there and I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s got.
Roxy: Finally, what’re your predictions for the match?
Alex: Well, let me put it this way Roxy. Did you ever here the story about the rapper and the circus performer that slew the dragon?
Roxy: No…
Alex: Neither have I.
Roxy smiles broadly as she turns back to the main camera. The view changes back to cut Alex out of shot.
Roxy: Well there you have it, fighting words from a very confident superstar. We’re all looking forward to that match on Sentinel this, I know I am. Thank you again Alex.
The camera flicks over to him still slouched in his seat. He nods once as he speaks.
Alex: Thank you.
The camera flicks back again.
Roxy: And thank you to you at home for watching. I’m Roxy Malone and this…is Global Impact Wrestling.
