Try as you might
To argue and fight
All must admit one truth.
There are no heroes here.
Whether for “Deceiver” or “Beast”
The truth, it will feast
Deny it, though you may wish
There are no heroes here.
“The Deceiver” did fall.
A curse on “The Beast” he did call
Swearing to vanquish this creature for all.
Redemption, he sought.
He struggled and fought
To leave a legacy purer than that he had wrought
In sin had he wallowed.
Power all that he hallowed
To greed he had given his soul.
There are no heroes here.
The time had come neigh
“The Beast” gave name to this lie
“He is not what he claims !”, he did call.
“The Nigglets” had booed him.
Those in power eschewed him
Aspersions they did cast from on high.
There was no hesitation to flout
When they cast him in doubt.
“How dare you defame one so great !”, they exclaimed.
“You beast !” they did claim
“The lie is your feast !”
“Our hero, ‘tis he !” they would say.
The truth of it stung
For the man whom in praise they had sung
Spoke with forked tongue, fooling them all with a smile.
There are no heroes here.
And so it was set
A great clash to be met
The truth of things to decide was the goal.
The clash it was mighty
Their displays of avarice quite unsightly
No depravity did either man spare
There are no heroes here.
When all, it was done
So it was that “The Beast”, he had won
Supremacy was to what he laid claim.
There are no heroes here.
“The Deceiver” did flee
For vanquished, was he.
“I shall return !” his exclaim be.
There are no heroes here.
“The Beast” battled forth,
Against enemies wroth
To destroy all he had done.
There are no heroes here.
Allies he found
Men to rally around
For his enemies still held the crown
There are no heroes here.
A war did ensue
Most savagely it grew
Until all were swept into its thrall
“The Beast’s” numbers did grow
As dissention did sow
Against those who stood in their way
When all violence had died
And their enemies cried
“The Beast” and his army now thrived.
There are no heroes here.
Upon the throne he now sits
For its liberation is his
From the Dark Queen and her legion of knaves
There are no heroes here.
Alas, the past would not die
To conspire they tried
For the new order, they would not accept.
A voice did ascend.
“Revenge shall be mine !!!” its portent.
“The Deceiver” now returned
“Your surrender I’ll have !”
“For crush your spirit I shall !”
“I quit” is what you will wail !!”
There are no heroes here.
A new war you shall see.
For the throne, it will be.
When all is done, one shall be no more.
Yet one truth shall still reign.
There are no heroes here.
To argue and fight
All must admit one truth.
There are no heroes here.
