OOC: Sorry this is so short, and kinda sucks, I had something with my school come up. There's an event, and they need me. I have to go! Wish me luck!
“ No, absolutely not, I won’t fucking do it and if he has a problem with that then he take it up with me!”
(She slams the glass down on the bar, casting a look that would kill lesser men in the direction of the bartender. She doesn’t know why she chose this God-forsaken place to come. The room is dark and dank, smelling of smoke and alcohol. The place obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a fortnight. The poor man comes over, fills her glass again, and out of either fear or a strong desire not to come near our Dark Lady again, he leaves the bottle. She downs another glass, and is reaching for a third when a hand much larger than her own reaches the bottle first, a finger firmly holding the stopper on top of it. She cuts her azure eyes to the hand, following it up to see Raenius sitting beside her. She scowls. Raenius chuckles at her irritation.)
Raenius: Second thoughts about our match?
(She looks away, her blonde hair falling like a shield between them. She answers him softly in reply.)
Chassie: I cannot do it. How am I to fight my brethren? My Covenant family?
(She removes her hand from the bottle, which Raenius takes, pouring himself a glass to down quickly.)
Raenius: You will do it, because you are not weak. You will not quit.
Chassie: But…
Raenius: Besides, this could be the most important and challenging fight you have ever faced.
Chassie: How so?
Raenius: Those men will be out for blood Chass, Sure as I’m sitting here they are going to bring everything they have and expect the same in return. Who can we trust to give us the fight of our lives, if not each other?
Chassie…
Raenius: So now you have to decide whether or not you want to go out there. However, If you do decide to come out, to play with the big boys, as it were…then you must expect to wake up with a gaping hole in the morning.
(Oh God…seriously? She turns towards him, a new determination in her eyes, and that same fire that has captured our hearts. Standing, she turns to leave but pauses. Leaning close, she whispers.)
Chassie: Thank you.
(And with that she leaves. Once in the cab she calls Jonathon)
Chassie: Get dressed for training and then warm up in the gym, I want you to be ready. I might need Jarek’s help too, if you could enlist it.
Jonathon: I thought you weren’t going…
Chassie: Change of plans. I’ll meet you at home.
(She hangs up, and enjoys the silence of her ride. Once home she heads straight for her room, tearing her shirt over her head and changing into her gymwear. It was going to be a long session, and she had no intention of winning her match. But she was going to do everything her mentor told her, Go out there and fight with all her heart. She was going to get hurt, and hopefully hurt badly. But she would enjoy it. Because every punch would be real, every kick, toss, throw, would all be 100 percent. From both her and her men. And she was greatly looking forward to her match now, regardless of the outcome. Even if she fell, at least it would be at the feet of one of her own. And so she starts her training, enjoying that one fact.)
