Lord Hastings and Lady Desmona are in their locker room. Donovan is finishing getting changed, while Calypso is throwing a fit.
Calypso: Curses! I knew I should have included that last knot of rust. It wasn't strong enough. How could I have left it out!
Donovan glances up at her and just shakes his head.
Calypso: Before I face Misery again, I will prepare a stronger charm, one that will envelop her in a final chaos, drag her deep into the depths of futility!
Donovan: (under his breath) ...really?
Calypso: I will tag with that bitch on Sentinel, but after that-
Donovan: Look, you're going about it all wrong.
Calypso gives him a slightly taken aback look.
Calypso: I beg your pardon.
Donovan: After No Holds Barred, you and I are both exactly where we want to be. It could not have gone more perfectly.
Calypso: I lost!
Donovan: That's your problem, babe, you're bothering with the details. When we came here, we knew it would be a long climb to the top. Rome was not built in the day, and so will not in a day be built the legend of the Lord and Mistress of Pain. After No Holds Barred, the number one contender to the Hardcore Championship is Lord Hastings. The number one contender to the Women's Championship is Lady Desmona. What more do you want?
Calpyso: Um, the title?
Donovan: What is it you are always telling me about taking my time and savoring the moment?
Calypso: Global Impact Wrestling and my bedroom are two very different places.
Donovan: Toxic Intent will be our time. It is destiny's call, Desmona. A night on which both of us ascend together to our new thrones, our new championships. It will be a new status quo, and this federation will never be the same.
He turns away from her, a determined look on his face.
Donovan: Sentinel will be a preview, a warning shot, if you will. Chris Austin claims that he doesn't care about me, that I don't matter. We will see how much he cares after Saturday night, when he learns first hand the truth about the path he now walks, this green mile that he treads, as he feels the hands of fate closing around his throat. He is right about one thing though. We don't matter, not really. Reality is what we perceive it to be. What matters to me is not my present, but my legacy. My immortality is reliant not purely on myself, but of the stories that will be passed down by those that witness it. And to those people I will paint an image, create a moment, construct a legend so great, it will live until forever. Chris Austin claims that I don't matter. Neither does he. In the end, he is nothing more than an obstacle, a speed bump. In the end...I will take from him that which he holds most dear.
He turns back to face Calypso, a wry smile on his face.
Donovan: And I'll take his title too.
Donovan turns away again, now looking directly at the camera.
Donovan: It is inevitable.
Fade out...
