As the scene opens Lord Hastings sits in his chair laughing maniacally. Calypso comes into the room.
Calypso: Oh.
Hastings turns and looks at her, a smile on his face.
Hastings: Yes, my dear?
Calypso: Nothing. I heard you laughing, I thought you were watching your Sex in the City DVDs again.
Hastings' jaw drops open.
Hastings: I don't own that show. In fact, I've never seen it, and I do not already have tickets on reserve for the movie next month.
Calypso: What? Yes you do, I bought-
Hastings: Ah!
Hastings quickly runs his finger across his throat and points at the camera. Calypso rolls her eyes.
Calypso: Whatever, I don't see the big deal.
Hastings stands.
Hastings: Indeed, the big deal. The big deal now is the force of nature that now stands alongside us. Global Domination is the new power here in GIW, and our combined might will be unstoppable.
Calypso: Do you really think we can trust them?
Hastings: I don't trust anyone but myself.
Calypso: You don't trust me?
Donovan walks to her and lifts her chin, looking right into her eyes.
Hastings: You're precious, do you know that?
He walks away and she scowls at him.
Hastings: And so on Sentinel we will see a preview of Toxic Intent, once more. Two lords standing together, the Lord Deathman and the Lord of Pain, Donovan Hastings. Together, we are lords of destruction, makers of massacres. It is destiny's call for us to stand together, joined as a royal court. Never before have I been so excited for the future.
Calypso: You really know how to make a girl feel special, don't you.
Hastings: It's a natural talent.
Calypso throws up her hands and marches out of the room. Hastings stands at the window and gazes out it, his arms folded behind him.
Hastings: Global Domination, indeed...
Fade out...
