Induction:
The sounds of “Phucking Phreak” play through the festival grounds as Phrixus Deimos appears on the stage and approaches the Hall of Fame podium, settling behind it. It is several moments before he begins to speak.
“Today, UGWC opens its doors to the Hall of Fame for the third time, and for the third time I stand here before you to induct a member that represents the Lock Wrestling Federation, but this time I delve not only into the past, but also into the present, as Robert Ooley continues to impact all of us to this very day.”
“Robert Ooley debuted in LWF even earlier than myself, going by the moniker of Badass Bob on the very first LWF broadcast. He bucked authority from his first moment in front of the crowd, and represented the anti-hero sentiment and embodied everything the casual fan wanted to be. So shocking it was, then, when he revealed his true self, coming together with Lock to form their Regime, and together as the Puppet Masters they dominated the tag ranks and pulled the strings of the rest of the roster. Ooley winning the World Title from Arelas in Napoleon’s Revenge in 2002, as much of a miscarriage of justice as it was at the time, remains one of the iconic moments in LWF history.”
“When Ooley returned in 2010 as the Director of Human Resources of UGWC, it signaled that something special would be happening here. In 2011 he formed a stable of Entertainment Professionals that ushered the likes of Travis Pierce and Gabrielle Montgomery into the main event, and saw the rise of one of the most dominant cooperative teams in our history in the Thames Valley Hit Squad. Indeed, without the action of Robert Ooley that brought them together, the Piercing Weapon and subsequent Piercing Media Network never comes to pass.”
“Robert Ooley leaves behind him a legacy of creativity, dominance, and memorable moments that continue to this day. It is an honor to present to you the newest member of the UGWC Hall of Fame...Robert Ooley.”
Ooley takes the stage and points at the band to acknowledge them. He nods to the applause of the fans and Entertainment Professionals in the crowd.
Ooley: Thank you, Scared.
Ooley points at him.
Ooley: This dumb fuck hit me with a fish. You remember that, don’t you? Of course you do. What was it? Vengeance? Absolution? Maximum Freaking Something? I don’t remember what we called half those shows.
Standing several feet away and off-mic, Deimos shakes his head and actually breaks a smile, and says something to Ooley.
Ooley: Maul. Yeah, of course you remember that. Mind like a fucking steel trap, this one. Hall of Fame, eh? Have to say Ol’ Bob didn’t expect that. A lot of people had a hand in that career you just heard all about, back in those days. FoolJ. Arelost. Orlando Heranndez. Tuscon. And of course, the Crock himself. Before anyone asks, yes, Ol’ Bob knows everyone’s name. He just don’t give a shit.
Ooley pauses for the applause from the crowd.
Ooley: I do love this business. When the opportunity came along to be a part of UGWC, of course I jumped at it.
Ooley smiles.
Ooley: And I think we can all agree it's one of the best decisions our benevolent benefactor ever made. My role of Director of Human Resources is a double edged sword, on one hand I've been able to enjoy the great success that the growth of UGWC has been, and on the other I have to deal with fuckwads each and everyday.
The crowd laughs.
Ooley: From forming the Human Resources Department stable, to competing for the UGWC World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleStock in 2013, I have been involved in many memorable moments here in UGCW, and hope I will be involved in many more.
The crowd starts a 'One more match!' Chant.
Ooley: OIe' Bob never says never when it comes to stepping between those ropes, maybe I'll step up against the winner of the World Title match later today? But I'd just like to say thanks to the one constant in my career, a true rock to me, without him running this place would be that much more difficult. As we've seen Creative Directos come and go in UGWC, and as the Director of Human Resources you need to have a mechanism to rely upon, that you can trust will always be there for you...
The camera's focus on Dexter Vines who is tearing up...
Ooley: Louis! Without you, I'd be nothing!
Ooley raises his baseball bat in the air to one of the biggest ops of the entire weekend.
Ooley: This truly is a great honor, but don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon.
With that Ooley raises Louis one more time to a loud ovation and turns to walk off stage, but then pauses, turns round and leans into the microphone one last time.
Ooley: Suckers.
