With apologies for not having done so sooner, I wanted to take a moment to clarify how things are working right now with the Engine of Chaos stable.
In what I think is fairly unique in design, as implied by the ending of Battleground, the "Freebird Rule" is being applied to all and any championships won by the Engine of Chaos. What this means is that all four members of the Engine are recognized as the co-holders of both the Cooperative and Chaos championships, and if the group were to win the World or Cross-Hemisphere titles in the future, the same would apply. On any given night, the championships may be defended by any individual member, or in the case of the Cooperative Titles, any combination of the members.
As I'm sure everyone noticed this week, the group is now listed on cards simply by the stable name. This will be the case for PPVs and title defenses as well. Some of you may be thinking "well that's not fair, I'm challenging and I don't know who I'm facing!" The counter-point to this is that the Engine doesn't know who is defending, either.
To clarify: while IC the group is clearly cherry-picking and manipulating who they want for each match, OOC is a very different matter. The handlers do not know which one of them are participating in a given match, which applies a lot of pressure on all of them as a group. It is important to make the IC/OOC distinction here.
As the Engine members are already aware, for title defenses, the participating Engine member(s) will be determined randomly and not even the Engine handlers themselves will know who it is until the show itself is posted.
This arrangement should make a fun and unique storyline fair and challenging for everyone. Good luck!
