Name: Kenzi Grey-Lacklan
Home Fed: UGWC Chill
Appearance: Kenzi is a young girl of mixed heritage with a light caramel complexion, tight dark braids, and a light athletic build. She bares a few small tattoos she received in her youth just to spite her disapproving mother.
Pic Base: Zoe Kravitz
Height/Weight: 5’2”/132 lbs
Entrance: “Gimme Your Applause” by Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, & Christina Aguilera begins to play as lightbulbs flash all through the arena. Kenzi Grey walks out with a confident smile for the fans. An explosion of pyro erupts as she strikes a pose for the cameras. Kenzi’s mother and manager, Sidney Grey walks out to a chorus of boos with her massive bodyguard Maxine, flanking Kenzi as they head to the ring. Kenzi ignores her mother as she heads down the aisle slapping the outstretched hands of the fans. Kenzi climbs onto the ring apron and pauses again for the flash of the cameras, as she kneels there with a smirk. She climbs the turnpost and gives the fans one more photo opportunity as she sits atop the turnbuckle, still blowing kisses and posing for the fans. She hops down, finally entering the ring as she readies herself for her opponent and her mother typically takes of residence at the announce table to talk up her daughter and annoy the commentators and fans.
Basic Moves: Suplex Shotgun Dropkick Clothesline Crossbody Heel Kick Back Breaker Back Elbow Shoulder Block Sleeper Hold Sharp Shooter Kickout DDT Hurricanrana Spine Buster Springboard Moonsault
Signature Moves:
BREAKOUT PERFORMANCE (Code Breaker) Kenzi catches an opponent unawares as she leaps into the air, hooks their head, and crashes to the mat as the opponent's chest and head smash into her knees.
ONE HIT WONDER (Superman Punch) Nothing too fancy about it, a good old fashioned leaping punch to the jaw of the opponent. Usually used to set up bigger moves, but if an opponent is caught unawares, this punch will put them down for the count.
SEASON FINALE (Rope Hung Piledriver) Kenzi catches an opponent coming back through the ropes and locks their head between her knees as she pinions on the ropes and spikes them into the mat with a vicious modified piledriver.
BETTER THAN YOU (Stolen Signature or Finisher of Opponent) Kenzi's version of method acting! She will frequently display her (acting) talent by mimicking one of her opponent's signatures or finishers. It may not always end the match, but it will certainly get inside an opponent's head and change the course of any match.
Finisher:
THE BLOCKBUSTER (Leg Drop DDT) Kenzi applies an arm wringer to a kneeling opponent then hooks a single leg over the opponent’s neck. She finishes the opponent by driving them into the mat with a devastating DDT style leg drop.
THE WALK OF FAME (Curb Stomp) The move has been 'borrowed' from her mentor, Ashley Marie Chase. After downing or stunning and opponent, Kenzi will get a running start and leap into the air, stomping her opponent's head into the mat or the floor.
HOLLYWOOD & VINE (Schoolboy | Single Leg Boston Crab) Kenzi catches an opponent and takes them down with what starts out as a schoolboy, but as the opponent goes down, she pops up and twists around as she locks in a kneeling single leg Boston Crab.
Past Accomplishments: LAW Chaos Champion, Fucking Awesome Hardcore Champion, Empire Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champion, LAW Breakout Champion, LAW Class of 2018 HOF
Brief History (Tell us a bit about your character!): Kenzi is a practicing Scientologist who lives her life in 'Clarity' as she strives to constantly improve herself and mental well-being at the expense of her mother's sanity and her wife’s bank account. She is also a member of the #CoolKids stable and frequently travels the globe going from event to event to support her stablemates.
(He actually wrestles currently in the World Championship Federation - wcfwrestling.proboards.com - but he’s a heel and a d-bag so he’s choosing to represent OWF instead. )
Appearance: Comes to the ring wearing whatever his latest WCF T-shirt is and black wrestling pants that say “DYNAMO” down the right leg.
Pic Base: Brian Kendrick (205 Live version)
Height/Weight: 6’0” 215
Entrance Music: “Delirium Trigger” by Coheed & Cambria
Entrance: The smooth, rhythmic electric guitar melody that begins “Delirium Trigger” creeps into the audioscape of the arena. For three iterations of the melody, little else happens; on the fourth, the melody builds to a sudden stop. At this stop, the lights in the arena go out and all that can be heard is a screech, and all that can be seen are the words “GOD MODE” suddenly presented on the big screen.
A single pyro burst timed with the downbeat brings the lights back up and a more aggressive guitar riff as the song continues; most importantly, Kid Dynamo is standing on the entryway. He stays there, looking out to the crowd with the smile on his face that you would expect to be the result of the receipt of cheers, when in fact the crowd is offering the opposite reaction.
The first verse begins, and on cue, Dynamo begins walking towards the ring while the cameras cut to anti-Dynamo signs that fans are holding up in the crowd. They cut back to Dynamo as he approaches ringside and enters the ring.
Style (Technical, hardcore, brawler, powerhouse, high flying, etc.):
Like modern-day Jushin Liger; he was originally a high-flyer (and still has it in him), but nowadays he uses more of a technical/striking offense and the daredevil moves are sparingly thrown in.
Favorite Moves (At least 5):
DDT (to include variations such as reverse or tornado) Sleeper Hold (to include variations such as Dragon) Kick Strikes (Gamengiri, Superkick, Spinning Heel Kick, Dropkick, etc) Chinlock (to include variations) Piledriver Northern Lights Suplex (with bridge)
Trademark move and description:
Bad Luck Charm - Running Enziguiri
Trigger Pull - STO (usually it comes out of nowhere, or he’ll do it as an immediate follow-up to an eye rake or other cheap shot)
Finisher and description:
Hangover - Top Rope Somersault Legdrop
Past Accomplishments: MVW World Champion MVW US Champion MVW TV Champion MVW Light Heavyweight Champion MVW Hall of Fame BWA Heavyweight Champion ASW Cruiserweight Champion ASW United States Tag Team Champion #4 Wrestler in the World, 2000 E-Fed Hall of Fame OWF Tag Team Champion OWF Network Champion OWF World Champion OWF PDA Champion WCF TV Champion
Brief History (Tell us a bit about your character!):
Kid Dynamo is 39 years old, a grizzled veteran of the business since 1999. He talks like he’s the smartest guy in the room, and pretty much acts like he’s a big fish in a small pond and WCF is lucky to have him around.
In actuality, Kid Dynamo sincerely doubts himself and is paranoid about the idea that his wrestling career hasn’t been big enough for him to be remembered. In fact, he’s representing OWF in hopes that winning will help him secure his long-desired goal of being enshrined in the OWF Hall of Fame.
His paranoia has also manifested into a passive-aggressive form of oneupsmanship with his estranged daughter, Kem. She represents the next generation if not the future itself, so the idea of WrestleStock Day 4 starting with his win and ending with her loss is something that would offer him Supreme satisfaction.
The Man in the Iron Mask, Nanakia, Savage, Dirty, The King of Pit Fights Gimmick:
David is your quintessential villain type of character. Claims to have recovered from a mentally debilitating heroin addiction. Has apparently been rehabing in Brazil after stepping down as Mayor of Chicago and leaving the WCF last year. Not much is known of Sanchez's absence other than that it's over now and he seems to have emerged from it a repentant soul, seeking only adoration so that he may validate himself somehow.
Antonio Noguiera but in basic blank trunks with a 'DS' stitched on the rear in a deep blue. He also wears matching knee and elbow pads and a lot of heavy tape on his fists
Wears a solid iron mask to the ring and during promos, see sig for reference.
Wrestling style:
Always looking for chokeholds and piledrivers of endless variety. Methodical in the ring and a master of using the environment to inflict pain. Sanchez does not fly. Except for the diving headbutt. Hard hitting and able to go the distance at 41, and 15 years Pro. Still prone to being overly sure of himself and eating humble pie. Looks to ground high-fliers with limb-based submissions. Very aggressive and often disciplined. HOWEVER: NO LONGER USES HEEL TACTICS.
Common moves:
knees to double-underhooked opponent Thai-boxing clinch knees Stomps to grounded opponent (targeting out-stretched limbs) European uppercut Armbar takedown (variations of) Rear naked choke (when possible) Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker Tilt-a-whirl gut buster Headbutts, usually aimed at the trapezoid muscle of the neck and shoulder. Knee drop to downed opponent (ala Ric Flair, minus the wooo!) Snap suplex Butterfly suplex Roundhouse kick (rarely a headshot, usually towards quads and abdomen) Hangman’s neckbreaker Kitchen Sink style running knee to abdomen German suplex Tiger suplex Dragon suplex Palm strike to solar plexus
Combo moves:
Have You Seen My Knees? - Muay Thai clinch, strike with each knee, forcing opponent back into corner. Followed by some taunting and a running shotgun double-knees in the corner ala Rowe.
Cornerstone Blues - Simple DDT, mashing opponents head into the bottom turnbuckle pad in the corner. Who Put That There? - Butterfly suplex into turnbuckle or crowd barricade.
The Black Hand - Mandible claw, applied from behind during tazmission.
Entrance:
The arena falls into a tepid silence as the opening guitar riff to Royal Blood’s “Out of the Black” begins to trickle out of the PA system, starting quiet and building to a thunderous din as the words kick into action. The crowd are perplexed at first until the screen does the legwork in identifying who is coming to the ring by showing highlights from the career of David Sanchez’ various matches and misdeeds.
The song plays on as the audience erupts into a sea of hateful chants and a rapture of hissing, gesturing and miscellaneous disapproving noises. David Sanchez appears center stage, his face hidden behind a mask of solid iron. Dressed in his simple wrestling gear apart from this: black trunks and pads; all donning a tiny blue 'DS.' He soaks it all in for a second. Stopping halfway down the ramp and staring vacantly at the camera; the creepy metal mask sending shivers down the viewers spine.
No pyrotechnics are launched, nor do the lights flicker. He believed simplicity was more intimidating than flashing strobes, smoke and fireworks. The mask was enough now' he thought. As he walks he removes the mask slowly by unfastening the hinge at the base of the skull. Once revealed, he smiles and high fives the three or four fans who let him. Once he slides into the ring he turns his back to the stage, awaiting his opponent whilst stretching out his limbs in a warm-up. He acts as though the arena is empty, as if this was simply a practice run. A slightly troubling smile still stretched across his face, Sanchez carefully places the iron mask under a far turnbuckle in a way so that the eyeholes can watch the match.
