Something to tell you all about me as a person

I think only one person here that already knows, but I need to share this to everyone, so you understand this about me. I know you lot find me annoying; sometimes, me getting frustrated easily when I don't understand things and repeat stuff with my RP's. It's not because I am doing it on purpose. It's well because I have a learning difficulty called Asperger's syndrome that I've had ever since I was born. I just want you lot to know why I am like the way I am in RPs and on the boards as well because being creative with RP's, changing promo style and other things are very difficult for me. I have to be supported every week to help me with form filling if I need to fill one out regarding the money side of things mostly and cooking. It was time to tell you all, and I needed to. I believe none of you will take the piss out of me, which is why I've said this now, considering the bad experience I've had in the past of telling people of my learning difficulties and gotten piss taken out of me.

100% this, Fizz. And if you ever experience such treatment from anyone here I think I can speak for everyone in saying we would want to know.

Speaking for myself you are an important and unique voice in this fed. What you consider to be 'annoying' questions or queries, are often subjects that are valuable to have discussed in a public forum.

I can only imagine what a personal challenge RP-ing us for you, and I take great pride in the fact you choose to take on that challenge here in UGWC.

For myself, again, it has been a pleasure to watch you grow as a writer over the past year or so and your openness to feedback is something we can all learn from.

That said, you're a brave motherfucker for voicing this and you've got a world of support in here.

Also, I think it was Greta Thunberg (sp?) who said Asbergers isn't a learning difficulty, it's a superpower.

If you really wanna embrace it, use it in your RP's. I think you'll find sometimes facing your biggest fears or insecurities in this realm will help you deal with it better IRL.

Funny enough, I have a character in other feds that has autism called Samuel McPherson (Because my sister has severe form of it) that kinda revolves around that.

I admit, I haven't written anything with Samuel and Konrad together at all in this fed, considering he's Konrad's brother in law as Samuel's married to Lord Raab which is Konrad's twin brother.

I agree with Joe (Alex Stein). Sometimes writing about personal things that affect us IRL is a good thing. It allows us an escape in a way, whether that be an insecurity we have, or just grief that we have to have an outlet for.

For the most part, I’ve kept my personal life separate from my efedding life, but there have been a few times where I’ve blurred that line and incorporated the shit I’m going through into one of my characters. I’ve touched on miscarriages my wife has gone through, as well as the death of a loved one. And as hard as those rps were to write, it allowed me to deal with those things in a way that was much better than keeping it bottled up on the inside (I’m the type that feels I need to be the rock for my wife and kids, so don’t want to burden them with shit like “my feelings”. Yes, it doesn’t make sense, but it’s how my brain works - yes Rob, my brain works from time to time).

I don’t say that because my situations have been anything like yours Fizz, because I know they aren’t. I simply say them because adding something similar to Konrad (or one of your NPCs) will not only help you to continue to evolve your characters - and by extension, your writing - but may also help you become even more comfortable in the fed itself, and those of us who enjoy sharing this hobby with you.
